Hi,
Please help. I tried flashing the Galaxy Tab with some firmware on samfirmware.com for North America and not sure what happened but now the Tab is completely blank and not responsive. When I connect the USB to the computer, it does recognize that the Tab is connected though. Please let me know what I should do to fix this. Thanks!!

Is it possible you flashed the wrong FW? After flashing was the tab able to reboot?
Try wiping cache and do a factory reset. Volume-up+powerbutton. You will see in the middle of the screen a little triangle. Then push the volume-up button again. Then you will be in the recovery-mode. There choose wipe/cache and the wipe-data/factoryreset.
If that not helps try flashing another FW. The Rot-hammer i.e.
Fixed it!
Actually, somehow I fixed it now. There was nothing on the display at all. I could see from Odin that it could sometimes try uploading the firmwares. What I think worked was I pressed the Home + Volume Down + Power to try to bring the Tab into download mode and then I pressed Start on Odin immediately to try uploading a different firmware. There was no display on the Tab itself so I was not sure if it was actually in download mode.
Anyway, I'm glad it's working fine now.

please tell me what firmware you flashed...please im stuck and depending on what firmware i flash i can hear it start but still blank screen
Same black screen
I can get Odin to recognize my tab, windows 7 can see it and I can flash to it, but the screen is black all the time.
Has anyone had any luck?
What do samsung use to fix this? I've seen a repair/service program from ZTE for some of their devices that I believe was procured from an employee of ZTE. Maybe there is something like that around?
<edit>
I also flashed a rom from samfirmware, so I guess the issue is a locked bootloader from a stock rom. Anyone know how to fix this?
I too am having this issue with sawfiremware image.
i can can tell i am in download mode but i am unable to flash the EA24 firmware.
Anything that can be done?
Thank you!!
My Tab's screen won't turn on at all, even when plug-in, even that Odin said that flash was successful. But after connecting it to PC with Odin opened (Odin recognized it), loaded all files needed for flash in Odin, I pressed HOME+Volume Down + Power, the device auto-dismounted from PC, and reconnected again, I pressed start in Odin and after finishing updating firmware, the screen was working again.
Good luck to everybody! I'm happy now
what firmware did you use? thx

Hello Everyone, I'm from Nepal. I have also same problem after few days. I search in google and YouTube also but not solve my problem. then i use my technical ideas on SM T561 tab, and I'm Shocked its open and working properly. if you also want to do that plz download Miracle Thunder 2.82 and Odin. install Miracle thunder and open, connect your Samsung tab with pc or laptop, on Miracle Thunder choose Samsung button, scan you Samsung port, model> Auto detect, mode > download, then select factory reset and click Go and wait. now your tab download mode then go to Odin and flashing your Samsung tab original firmware from website and flashing your tab. 100% its work. Thank you and sorry for my poor English.

Sorry for the thread title, but I really dont know how to explain my problem in a few words.
First of all, I´m brazilian, so sorry for my bad english (also, Google Translate is helping me lol).
Well, a friend of mine asked me to unlock and make phone calls possible on his T-Mobile Galaxy Tab (T849). He brought it from US a few days ago.
After a lot of searchs, I found a thread about exaclty what I wanted to do.
I did exactly what is told there and it worked! I even made a call to myself!
But then I tried to update the Tab to Gingerbread 2.3.3 from samfirmware.com
And my problems began.
Skipping the whole process to not bother you, the last thing I did was flash the TMobile Stock Rom with Odin. But now the screen just wont turn on! But I know the Tab is working! I turn it on and I can hear the boot sound. I press the unlock (on/off) button, slide my finger to unlock the Tab and when I press the touch buttons, the Tab vibrates. And also when I press the volumes buttons, I can hear the volume increasing and decreasing!
When I turn it off and try to boot on download mode, Odin recognizes it and when I try to flash a ROM, Odin does it and the Tab reboots, but the screen remains off. When I boot it on download mode, the screen doens turn on, I know that it is in download mode because of the "Added" information on Odin.
Does anybody know what might be the problem?
I know I screwed up everything when I tried to update.
Anyway, I tried everything. But nothing works.
Thanks in advance!
Well! Problem solved!
Just flashed 001001-GB-stock-safe_v5!
The modem switch will work with the new gingerbread too. Just set out up the same way.
To root the gingerbread you have to flash the CF-Root v3.3 kernel. If you don't, the gscript won't work.
Hello everybody this is my first post and is a problem as always i already search in other posts and i didn't find my problem some similars but not the same i hope you help me guys so my problem is that after trying to flash my T-Mobile tab to gingerbread stock rom 2.3.3 odin gave me an error instead of the pass in green
1) the screen didnt respond anymore - so my instinct is to forcely reboot by pressing power+volume.
and so it was successfully rebooted but still no function from the LCD and menu buttons but the power and volume is working so
2) I've tried to run a force reboot again but same scenario happens the menu buttons lightup and i can hear the samsung song when its booting and even i can hear the volumen buttons when i turn it up or down but my screen is black
3) After giving my TAB a good rest chargin it all night i press the power button to check the screen but the screen is not showing anymore only a black screen
4) Instinctively i've try to repeat the process from STEP 1 -2 until i've decided to quickly restore and factory settings because it might be cause of a software conflict but nothing
So it on but the screen its off when i plugg it to the pc with W7 odin recognize the tablet and i can flash it, so i flash it to to 2.2 froyo and it finish succesfully and even reboot the device and i can hear the samsun logo again buuuuuuut!! the screen is still black whitout any sign of light in it but the button are lighted up and the volume works
Conclusion:
I've suspecting the power button is damaged, LCD has been damaged, virus thru the OS(FROYO 2.2).
I still dont understand what happen to it, i dont know if i can take it to samsung because im not from the US im from mexico and i bought the tab in El Paso Tx, i hope you help me guys. Thank You

please help me rafaeker19 i have same problem my model is latin america tab (P1000N/L)
what ROM did you flash? 2.2 or 2.3 or 4.0, that is Froyo, GB or ICS.
You are likely using P1000 kernel which has wrong digitizer driver for the L/N series.
If GB or ICS, go to
http://www.humberos.com.br/p/kernel-p1000l-p1000n.html
and download the correct format.

If you prefer a stock rom without or a modified stock rom with root you could flash a 2.3.6 Odin Rom. That will update your complete system and reset it to the default values.

I tried flashing with odin, but then it said RESET....when
i unplugged my phone and tried to turn it on it wouldn't turn on or anything......i can still get it to go into download mode but i don't think that would do any good...should i just turn my phone in for repairs?

Correct me if I'm wrong but... in download mode, phone just reads what's sent via usb cable and installs it. If it's not working I would say it's the hardware that's broken.
Hello guys,
First post here so, if it's in wrong session, sorry
I've tried to root and update my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830C), apparently the root went fine but when I tried to add the ROM, I couldn't initialize anymore... well the screen lights up and the flash blinks once and I heard the turning on sound but it's not shown anything on the screen. Funny thing is that the Odin3-v1.85 recognizes when I plug my phone.
I've been trying to repair for 2 days now, but still couldn't find out one solution.
Please help me :crying:
Edit: I Figure out that I installed the wrong firmware... but I still couldn't install another
Go to the download mode and then install your Stock rom using ODIN. That should solve your problem.
