Go to settings>applications>manage applications and go to "media area" and make sure nothing is checked there.
If you're missing apps, chances are that they were saved to the media area and that's the main cause of missing apps.

Ok. I tried and after reboot, all files are there. Thank you so much!!!

I have this problem with the go launcher. Occasionally it won't list some of my apps. At first I thought it was deleting them, but after going through the directories, I seen they were still installed, just not showing up in the go launcher.

Icons still in app drawer after moving and renaming APK's

I have a question after I rooted my phone. I have moved a few .apk's from the system/app folder to a separate area, and changed their extensions to .bak. My problem is they are still in my app drawer, and apps that are installed after the process explained. I am curious if this is just how it works after I do this process, or if their is some way to get rid of the icons out of the drawer and installed applications after they have been disabled.
(Please move this if needed, I believe it is in the wrong section? Didnt even look when I posted, it was just the area I was in!)
You need to reboot. Cache has to flush.

That didnt work thanks though! Also, its not loading into my ram, so I know it worked to an extent. Anyone else?
It's a lot easier if you just use titanium backup. Its worth the money, you can freeze them, and be done work it all.

Notification Light Stuck Flashing

A reboot won't fix it. I have no new notifications. I'm rooted and froze some bloat, but nothing major.
Anybody else encounter this issue?

Saw that happen when I used the Tranquility toolbox. Rebloating and deleting the app worked to fix the issue for me. Manual debloat with TB or using kejar31's debloated rom worked a little better, no stuck light.

Hmm. I froze Vcast apps and some other bloat with TB. That's all I've done besides block some ads. No toolbox installed.

Try pulling your notification window down for a second...this happens to me everytime I restart my phone and pulling the notification window down seems to reset it....

It went away. We'll see if it comes back.

Im pretty sure it will only do it when you restart so just do the same thing and you will be fine...not sure why it does it but easy fix...

I have nothing to confirm this, but this issue just started happening to me on my Bionic for text message notification lights after the recent Handcent update. I have not tried to uninstall Handcent and see if this happens with the stock messaging app. I am wondering if this is a Handcent bug... Is everyone having this issue using Handcent?

My solution was confirmed: Handcent recognized that there was an LED issue and fixed it in today's update.

My personal "fix" for any market issues is to go to Manage Applications/All/Market/Clear Data. Then you have to accept their terms again and in a few seconds the market gets your "My Apps" information and all works from then on (well, as I said, this has always worked me). YMMV.
Good luck.

Menu > Settings > Battery & Data Manager > Data Saver
Is there a check next to "data saver"? If so, uncheck it (maybe reboot as well to be sure) and then try your DL again...
Yep. Just do what the Texan said.

Apps disappearing

I'm new to the Bionic which I have rooted, but I swear I am constantly reinstalling apps I have already installed. Any ideas?

Go to applications and make sure none are checked in the media area. Its been discussed and your should have searched first.
dan46n2 types faster than I do.
Go to Settings/Applications/Manage applications/media area. If anything is checked go in to them and do move to phone. It should fix your problems. For whatever reason anything installed to media area disappears. If you search you will find several threads about it.

Go to Settings--->Applications--->Manage Applications--->Media Area--->Uncheck any apps with a checkmark---->Move to Phone.
I'm on my phone right now so I can't do what I would have done on a desktop
But if you use that search button up, and to the right you'll find your answer in less time than it took for you to start this thread.
Tldr: everyone has this problem, missing apps are in media storage move them or reinstall then move them.

Need help

Guys ive recently purchased my bionic on swappa. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the phone and it was never rooted. I updated it to the most recent update ota. After that i rooted it manually....that was two days ago. Im running stock and just removed a few apps. Today i tried to add a contact and it force closed. So i went to my contacts but when i press the little "+" button it says contact storage force closed again. I have no idea why. I tried using root explorer to change its permissions but it still force closed. And i know i didnt remove something i wasnt suppose to. I cant find how to fix this anywhere. Can someone help me out? Thanks

What apps did you remove? I'm guessing you removed some Motorola apps.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
Did you remove or freeze the Yahoo contacts apps? For some reason the Bionic contacts app breaks if you remove those.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
I only removed things like device setup and help center or social messaging. When i googled how to fix this the yahoo stuff came up but i didnt freeze that. I unfroze everything and rebooted but nothing....

There is an issue with the Google plus app that causes that.
Uninstall it, restart your phone, then download from the market again.
That should fix it.
