Wait! Could be 2 weeks so i just recommend going to stock and waiting until you can receive it the update is being sent out in waves so if you go to settings/about phone/check for updates/check new and it gives you nothing then you are going to have to wait i would say got back to stock and stock recovery and just wait until you can receive it ota.
Edit: No your local Verizon can't force the update lol

Thanks for the heads up
It's being pushed in waves, but I thought if you check for an update, it should force it?

Maybe but not for me

Don't get 4G in my area so I would of never known.
I was browsing r/android and I came across this thread:
Showing the upcoming update list for some verizon phones
and I noticed that it looks like we may be getting some type of update on or around 5/16, according to the second picture:
Here
Anyone have any ideas what this may be? I know it's not going to be a major update like ICS, or they would include us in that list and probably make a big deal out of it, but with zv8 having just come out, I wonder what they could be pushing now.
If that's correct its a pretty big update. 127mb

Our update is 21mb. The line below that is the spectrum which is 127mb. I wonder what is getting updated though. I had my first random reboot ever this morning and I have had the phone since October.

Yeah the update is fine. I got a letter cuz i had filed a claim with fcc. And you asked if it was the same.. no. You have froyo. The upgrade is gingerbread. Like goin from windows 7 to windows 8. (Kinda sorta) i definantly recomend getting the update to anyone who doesnt have it.

I meant another version of V20P. Maybe a revision with a newer date.
And as a windows person, I'd say it's more like going from Vista to Windows 7.
ICS is probably more like the hypothetical jump from Windows 7 to Windows 8.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Has anyone tried it? Maybe it's our official fix to ghost calls on v20p

Really? Another version ov the gingerbread? That could be cool. Yeah you are correct (vista to win7) i just meant to say that the froyo to gb is a nice lil step up. I dont use AT&T anymore so i probably wont get an update notice from t-mobile. Anyone hear if we might get ics? Hahaha and a suitcase full of money too! Lol

I wonder if this will be of any use to PG in getting ICS up and running on the Revo?
ICS for the Revolution... I can't see that happening at all. Definitely not buying an LG phone when my upgrade comes around.

Honestly I don't worry about it or think much of it happening. Just wondered if there may be anything of use from the spectrum/lucid ICS update.

Yep, it's looking like b.o is it for us (unless pg pulls of the incredible). No more LG for me either now

Has anyone in Cleveland area received update
Haven't received anything in Philadelphia, pa as of tonight. I'm extremely impatient and have been expecting it since yesterday morning, but no dice. I'd sit back and hang right, this will probably be a long time coming.

That's cool are there any cons to doing manual install.....do you still keep root....or do u unroot go back to stock then flash.
You have to be completely stock or the update will fail. You will lose root but I believe you can reroot. It will trip the warranty flag which is not reversible. No cons I've seen yet.
