I wonder if this will be of any use to PG in getting ICS up and running on the Revo?
ICS for the Revolution... I can't see that happening at all. Definitely not buying an LG phone when my upgrade comes around.

Honestly I don't worry about it or think much of it happening. Just wondered if there may be anything of use from the spectrum/lucid ICS update.

Yep, it's looking like b.o is it for us (unless pg pulls of the incredible). No more LG for me either now

I was browsing r/android and I came across this thread:
Showing the upcoming update list for some verizon phones
and I noticed that it looks like we may be getting some type of update on or around 5/16, according to the second picture:
Here
Anyone have any ideas what this may be? I know it's not going to be a major update like ICS, or they would include us in that list and probably make a big deal out of it, but with zv8 having just come out, I wonder what they could be pushing now.
If that's correct its a pretty big update. 127mb

Our update is 21mb. The line below that is the spectrum which is 127mb. I wonder what is getting updated though. I had my first random reboot ever this morning and I have had the phone since October.

I hope it addresses the touch screen issue. Probably gunna be the last update from LG for the Revo

I'd much rather have ICS then have the touch screen issue fixed
Well we already know we aren't getting ICS might as well hope for the next best thing

Sweet, that's 2 updates within a few months. Can't complain there!
I was looking at getting something upgraded from the revo but not like latest and greatest because I would be paying full price.
I love the display and its dual core. Any opinions on this phone?
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
According to the few places I've checked out, such as engadget, it does fairly okay for a mid-range phone. The LG GUI and bloatware are atrocious, though.
I didnt even a section for it on the forums.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Ask Mt he has one so you could get his opinion on the phone.
I shall

I'm wondering if anyone updated to see if anything was improved.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
I've been on V9 for a couple days rooted, decrapped, debinged and deodexed. I haven't really noticed any improvement
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Yeah I wasn't going to root anyways. Gingervolt 1.1 marked the end of the road for the Revo.

My revo is on broken out 1.1 with blitz and supercharged . I am lucky that I never really had any issues with my phone. V8 update & MT just made it a ton better. Battery life is great with practically no lag. So for now, I will let it be and play with my tf300. Hopefully an unlocked bootloader is near.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
I hope so. but im curious to update to v9 trying the OTA rootkeeper app and then just downgrade back to V8
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
I was surprised how easy it was to keep root with OTA rootkeeper on the pad.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
You can root the pad with an app. Too easy. If I can get it to work I was thinking of hitting up MT on how to overclock.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Would that be possible just using the blob? Even though the bootloader is locked?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
There's only one way to find out

Does any one know of a tot for v9 has been posted anywhere? Been having an issue with my phone never receiving any updates since v4 so I have tot flashed throughout all other versions (currently on v8 )
Sent from my Broken Out 1.1 Thunderbolted Revolution using XDA
The revo bootloader is not locked and never has been.

Updated to v9 and rooted. I have not noticed any difference at all but I did not have any issues with stock to begin with it was the custom ROMs that always gave me issues.
This is just an annoying peeve, but is anyone else having this issue? From V8 to v9, facebook stop connecting while on wifi. I've read other threads on the issue but no one states a fix or weather they did anything about. Just wondering. It's kind of a 'nagging' minor issue.
Oh yea, I have tried everything to fix it. even reflashing the v8 tot and ota'ing to v9. still samething. idk. Oh well, It's on to the next one.
EDIT**** I don't use FB all that much if any, but my wife is the FB junkie
Im not alone!

Just tried it and noticed mine doesn't either
Oh great.

Wow. This was just a shot in the dark, but ok. Interesting, I wonder how many more are having this issue. At least I know for sure it's not my ROM.

Same problem here. Started happening within the past week or two. I'm still running the V8-based BO 1.1, so it's not related to the V9 update.
Fb has sucked the last 2 updates they sent out on my Revo. My Transformer pad seems ok, with occasional similar issues.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
I have issues even with the facebook mobile site when on wifi. I don't use the app.
We've been having the same issues on the bionic as well

That's because Developers favorite Apple more than Android. I wish Android would shoot some magical laser beams and just demolish Apple to the ground.

Same here. I was using friendcaster and it stopped working. Can't even get there through the mobile site. Just spins and spins

I'm having the same issue. B. O. 1.1
I just noticed it today, I tried going to an earlier Facebook version through Titanium Backup, but that didn't work, then I did a nandroid restore from before I had this issue and it's still happening.
Well, now friendcaster and seesmic are acting up on wifi. and it's just the fb side of these apps. Maybe a prob with FB? idk
Same here. I noticed it 2 or 3 weeks ago. Using BO 1.1 on zv8. Glad to hear it isn't just me.

So I just picked up the Rogers p925g,and was pretty stoked about after killing my sgs.why was I stoked? Because my old LG optimus one had been running ics for a while now so I assumed seeing this phone is way better spec wise that there would be ics of some form for the p925g.
Now am I just not looking in the right spot or is there really no ics/cm9 or aokp development for this phone Id hate to have to return it...going back to gingerbread really does hurt me LOL.

Says hut true. The cm9 Dev says he doesn't have proper audio drivers. So we have to wait or LG to release source, or a better dev that can port it over

They say it is in testing. When an if they release it is still a mystery.
They promised third quarter of the year.
We'll have to wait till the end of September to see if they keep their word.

It's a very windy day...
LG promised the 3rd quarter for the LG Optimus 3D not the Thrill. If ICS were to come out for the optimus 3D, we would still have to wait for AT&T to release their official version of the ICS update for the Thrill. That version mite take a little longer to be released :\
