Checklist!

Hello guys
I have been dying to flash my blackstone for a while now but i was scared of damaging it.
Anyway i went through all the tutorials (tyvm to everyone) and i think i am finally ready.
I just want to check a few things before i go for it.
Please correct me if i am doing something wrong thanks in advance.
My spl is 1.14.0000.
so i need to upgrade it to official spl 1.54.
Question: 1. I want to use USPL i understand that dosnt void my warranty right?
I downloaded all files in cRaCKwHoRe's TUT
in order to do that.
I have also updated my usb drivers.
I have a copy of Duttys' 3.9 Rom.
Questions: 2. If i upgrade to spl 1.54 from that post i wouldent need to reswitch it ever to 1.14 for warranty purposes right?
3. Are their any risks at all of bricking the device while flashing?
4. I tried downloading the official rom upgrade why did i get a ''this rom is not for your device message"?
5. I read their is a way of flashing from the sd card i understand i need a BLACIMG.NBH file where can i get it is there a Tutorial for this?
6. My phone is Branded should i save/backup the stock branded rom just in case?

--First of all I have read this thread."http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548924".... How do I find my current SPL?
--Primarily-I would like to know why/if I should flash the Danger SPL. What benefits will it give me?
--Also, that thread I posted explains how to flash the radio, spl and CM mod.
Do I need to do all three things just to get the updated SPL?
--If I just want to flash the SPL. I think I just need to DL the "spl-signed" zip file and rename it "update" and flash it.
If I am wrong could someone please link me to a tut or explain how to flash the SPL only?

As long as you got the newest radio (which you do) just update.zip and update. The "danger" spl will free up more space on your phone allowing you to install the hero roms. If you decide to do the new spl then be prepared once you flash it you will be stuck on the g1 screen. All you got to do is load a new rom and you'll be back to normal.

So when I am stuck, how do I reboot to load a rom? Do I remove the battery?

Just before you flash the new spl put the rom you want to use on the sd card, then boot into recovery and flash. Remember if you use the new recovery you don't have to rename to update.zip.

while this thread is on the go may i ask anyone if they can tell me how to display the currently installed SPL ?
is there a command that shows this info ??? is there another method ???
and am i correct to assume that as i have 90-MEG total on my G1 that i must have the latest SPL ??
i was so careless not making a note of which spl i used during the root method !

To check, boot in to the SPL by holder camera and power when the phone is off. The version should be at the top of ths screen. A rainbow coloured screen means the SPL is stock.

Adp flashed to rc29 no sim

I was given a dev g1 but i dont have a sim. I then flashed it to rc29 because i wanted to put cyanogen on but i read the tutorial for a regular g1 and now since i dont have a sim it just sits at the no sim screen now. i am able to connect with fastboot and adb but for some reason i now have the regular bootloader 00.95.0000. i tried the tutorial on the htc dev site but i cant flash the radio image and it gives me a signature error when i try to flash. im not sure what to do now inorder to get it back to stock.

I am also having the same issue, although I do have a sim card. How do we get hboot 0.95.3000 original factory bootloader back into our ADP?

So i finally got my adp back to stock.
1. I followed the wiki up to and installed the cyanogen mod
2. On the section on installing hard spl i just downloaded the original adp spl from the spl thread
3. then i reflashed the original rom using the same wiki instructions. and i got the rom from the htc dev site.

mhm first i must buy me a y cable

do not need to buy y cable.
this downgrade bootloader operation need tools as below:
1,USB hub(two port and up)
2,tf storage card(No more than 4GB,smaller better)
3,tf card reader
if you have no tf card and tf card reader,give you a suggestion.you can use a udisk(request as above).
tools are ready,now let's start to downgrade bootloader:
1.download a rom of microsoft 7004 or 7008.and extract the file.
find the NBH file after extract file success.
2.formatting your storage card's file system to fat32,copy NBH file to your storage card and rename as SCHUIMG.nbh
3.insert your storage card into the port1 of usb hub,insert your htc cable to port2(do not need connect to hd7 at this time).
switch on the power and connect to your hd7. make sure your hd7 shutdown.then press volume down+camera key+power key.
then you can see your hd7 turn into storage model,
wait for a moment,when you see your hd7 screen showed"update success"
then congratulations!your hd7 has successful downgrade bootloader.
I am not goods at English,if you can not understand what i mean,you can contact with me,I have some picture of downgrade bootloader.
I hope that this can help on your hd7 downgrade bootloader.
