Here is the latest update to Facebook v1.3.2
Thank you for making the apk available.
I have just upgraded to CM 6.0 and my older version of the FB app broke. I learned I needed at least v1.3 but the other thing that broke with CM 6.0 was Android Market and I can't download anything I need that way.
Luckily, the DropBox installation method still works. I just needed the apk.
CyanogenMod 6.1
Download
Use ROM-Manager or the teamdouche mirror.
Description
The official release of CyanogenMod for the Legend.
You know the rules. But let me repeat them for your reading pleasure:
Read before you post. Read the whole thread.
Requests for builds, features, fixes or apps to include will be ignored.
Do not ask questions. This is the development board.
Add-Ons
For those who want 2.6.32.17 here's an experimental and unsupported update package:
cm-6.1.0-Legend-kernel-2.6.32.17.zip
Be warned as 2.6.32 is still unstable resulting in the device not suspending correctly when bluetooth is on.
Beer / Coffee / Prescription Drugs:
Thanks Great Developers.
Woow, that's great!
Wow thanx
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
Thank you very much aliba
Which radio do you recommend for the stable release ?
here we go!
EDIT: I guess "latest" gapps still are 20101020, is that right?
EDIT2: damn it! teamdouche web is down and I couldn't download the ROM... if anyone has any mirror would be great
Cannot download out of this link....The download starts but after a couple of moments it cancelled and the file is incomplete.
Cool, keep up the great work ali ba!
*Scratch that*
Found it
Thx I'll try the 2.32 kernel asap
If only I would have visa ,...
Thank you (I hope you're keeping track of these )
Download doesn't work for me not via ROM manager, not via teamdouch mirror, it is like zip file is damaged.
tried with the new kernel without wiping and..... raging thunder 2 finally runs smooth!!! 3D performances seems way better!
thanks ali ba!
Downloading it through the ROM Manager is definitely not working. I'd prefer to use the ROM Manager for the gapps, but no such luck. Ali Ba's link worked fine, but again, I prefer downloading straight through the ROM Manager.
Took me some tries (well, 8 automatic retries from wget) downloading it from the teamdouche mirror, so I figured I might as well mirror it to help:
http://oysteivi.tihlde.org/update-cm-6.1.0-Legend-signed.zip
(I haven't actually flashed it yet, but the md5sum is correct, so it should be a good copy).
thanks oysteivi
I want to give the new kernel a try and I'm sure all you guy are going to beat me up. But how do I update to the new kernel? Can't find any documentation about it With RomManager like a CR?
I've also set up a mirror:
http://www.alice-dsl.net/simonemartitz/asdf/update-cm-6.1.0-Legend-signed.zip
Don't forget to check the md5sum before installing, it was correct on my machine.
Thanks for the update and mirroring guys!
Trackball wake doesn't work properly with the new kernel. (after 20sec or more it doesn't respond anymore)
I've did some research a while ago (when I was trying to mod it into stock foryo release) and it had something to do with the new kernel I believe. (It works fine when plugged in (USB/charge))
I came across this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=703539
But I have no linux knowledge and I'm still learing so edditing a kernel is still a bit too hard for me.
Hopefully this helps
1192+ (2.6.32.17 @768MHz) in Quadrant, nice!
Just wanted to let you guys no that you can now go into the downloads section of ROM manager and you'll see the Sonofskywalker3 section. Blackhole is not quite ready for release yet, so you won't see it there, but I have put up a large collection of live wallpapers, multitouch keyboards from camelot, boot/shutdown animations, and launchers that you can now flash easily straight from your phone. I haven't been able to test these since i don't have a vibrant, so i'm relying on you guys. Please post any problems you have wiht anything in ROM manager to the official error reporting thread at www.androiddoes.net/sonofskywalker3 or right here in this thread and i'll try to keep on top of it. thanks for all your support guys.
Awesome! Checking it out now.

Dude, can you please send me instructions on how to get this added to rom manager.... I have tried koush with no luck.
Awesome you were able to!
Will this need a ROM Manager update, or is it all ready to go? (I'd look myself, but I'm flashing back from CM at the moment..)
Edit: Oh wow, is this nice. s15274n- It's under the download rom section. I know it mentions something about the premium version, click that.
to answer both questions at once: www.github.com hosts all koush's code for rom manager manifests. If you open an issue there with the code you want added one of his team will add it. once it's added you show up in rom manager instantly, no upgrade needed, because when you click donload rom in any version of rom manager it parses the code at github.com in manifests.js and looks for any vibrant = true tags, and if it finds it, it displays the info. I personally forked the manifest, edited it, and used a pull request to get it committed to the main manifest. if you want help getting yourself in rom manager, look for me in #sonofskywalker3 on irc tomorrow evening and i'll be glad to chat with you and walk you through it.
I love you...whomever the fark you are!
(Awaiting the final...mac fag sadly).
/final being tested....I hate ODIN
//no access other than work
///slashies
If it's that easy, why aren't the ROMS in there? That would save so much time and heartache.
None of the live wallpapers work for me...Axuras 2.1
Patience.....fauk, someone is going the proper route and you want to rush them.
CMR flashing FTW!
None of the live wallpapers work for me...Axuras 2.1
Give it time...an updatable rom via CWM is awesome yet time consuming....waiting patiently
Using a chihuahua to post up in this B
Hey lightninbug, do the wallpapers just not work? Did you flash them thru clockwork? Im at work and I dont want to do anything to soft brick my phone.
So you actually flash a wallpaper?? Sounds strange.... lol
yeah they dont soft brick.....just fc upon trying to open them.....yes flashed thru clockwork n rom manager...they installed to system/app..dont work tho
Thanks lightnin. I'm having trouble finding this stuff tho. My download section says it only has extras and free stuff. Not sure where to find these goodies at.

Op 1 week ago you posted a galaxy tab Rom that bricked phones. Soon after you just recently asked devs how to make a Rom. Now your going to post a Rom. No thanks noob that's one black hole I won't be goin down.

I'm afraid you have me confused with someone else. I have never released a ROM for galaxy tab, only one before this was the version for fascinate, and it's working great on my own phone as well as many others. Also I have never posted here asking how to make a ROM. I got started by reading tutorials online, getting help from other devs in IRC, and a lot of trial and error with my own phone before I ever released my first ROM. I don't mind criticizm, and welcome error reports, both are ways to improve the final product. However they are only helpful if they are true. If you can link me to the posts where I supposedly did these things I may better understand what you're talking about.
As far as the live wallpapers they are from the fascinate, I was hoping they would be installable without modification. Is anyone else having this issue with other roms? could you please get me a logcat during an fc so i can see what it's doing? also please try the digital rain wallpaper, it's from the market so we can use it as a kind of control group. thanks.
Sonofskywalker,
you will have to excuse the comments and tone of some in here. Recently this section has many unacceptable outbursts. I agree, issues must be raised in a constructive manner, rather than just being rude.
thanks for your work and I'll take a look.

Actually, the bootanimations are firmware independent, so they'll work fine, the keyboards have been tested on 2.1 on the fascinate and they worked, so give them a try, and the livewallpapers came from 2.1 on the fascinate, and don't work on at least 1 2.2 rom, so if you can try them out that'd be great. and all these updates do is add an apk file to your system partition, so there's no worry of bricking as long as you have a nandroid backup.
that being said, I need a few people to test the final alpha build before i release it as a public beta, just got it uploaded this morning. Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested, and i'll be glad to send you a link. please note you'll need to have a jk6 modem and kernel installed, but i'll be glad to send you links for those too.

Might want to update the CMR, gapps (the may or march one), and make it a bit easier to follow (more spaces?).

The CWM version in there is, I think, the latest version that doesn't bug out using this method. I have added some spacing to make things more clear. Thank you for the feedback.
all links appear broken....can you please help?!
Yeah, all links broken. Use mediafire instead please.
I tried everything in your list, but Google Apps still wouldn't show up...and yes, I went to settings accounts/sync...and the only option was for an exchange account. BUT...I DID FIX IT! 7.0.3 seemed to be a problem for some others also, so I ran 7.0.2 and it installed perfectly. Then, once I'd gotten everything up and running, I updated to the latest CM7 RC via RomManager and everything went smooth as butter. Thanks so much!!!
I tried the latest build of CM7 done by the Atrix Dev Team and it is awesome. Very reliable, fully functional, etc. I figured I'd give a whirl to compiling the real ICS version to see what that was like.
CM9 build system with the appropriate Atrix Dev Team repos in place actually spit out a working ROM. There are a number of issues aside from the general preview state of CM9. I figured I would share them in case anyone else was as curious as me. Apparently, the internal atrix dev teams are well beyond these issues already, so kudos.
Probably related to CM/atrix specific stuff
- Camera and finger print sensor don't work
- Launcher crashes pretty often
- Some openGL demos don't seem to work right (or at all)
- No mounting the SD as USB storage
Probably related to the specific gapps package I used.
- Maps crashes after 3 seconds (signal 11 - native code crash)
- Maps wants to update, but it can't (sharedId conflict if you actually remove maps)
- Earth won't run (missing the earthmobile library)
- Google Voice Search bombs (signal 4 - illegal instruction - currently suspecting the native packages might have some NEON instructions that the atrix cpu doesnt support)
- Calendar will not sync for google or exchange. App loads, but the sync service is failing
- Lots of null pointer exceptions for the NFC stuff in the log.
Anyway, this is just a build of the code that's out there, nothing special done by me. It might be useful for a dev phone or something but not for use on a real day-to-day device. Obviously it doesn't have the google apps embedded in it.

Personally, I had trouble going back to CM7 afterwards, my clockwordmod backups were screwed up (bad boot.img? cross-linked files on the SD card) and I had a very hard time getting back to the good ole working state. Ultimately, I had to restore the partial backup and then reflash the CM7 image + gapps.
So, if you were curious what building a random repo on the web and installing it on your phone would do, then feel free to try and lose all of your data. There are no updates/support for this, etc. It's just a curiosity... what is the state of this stuff right now?
BTW... I am back on CM7/Atrix now which is AWESOME!!!!

Not sure how the dev team would react to this ..we do not want any bricked phones because of this ..there maybe some experimental dangerous code in there in those sources as of now ..not sure though
Hmm... figured since I spent quite awhile getting a build set up, it might be worth sharing. I am happy to take down if it is inappropriate.
Well I am not the best person to answer that ...but yeah thanks for your work.
Eh, I wouldn't be mad about it, but I think it needs more caution. I would just wait. As you say, it kindof screwed with a lot and wasn't very usable, so why flash it? Maybe ok for someone who wants to look at the code, but I wouldn't flash it.
Awesome news man. Thanks for being a lab rat and giving us an update.

Not so much take it down as change the title of the post.
the current internal atrix-dev-team cm9 is way further ahead of this, we have some different patches. this is missleqading as it makes it sound official and is not.
Could you please change the tittle to [KANG] CM9 Test Build by "your name"
and please link to the sources, as is proper practice for open source projects
thank you

it looks very nice but id needs a bit more work to be a experimental daily driver.
ps: to solve the corrupt backup problem just copy the files to your computer before flashing and copy to your phone before restoring.
good luck!

For a preview build it looks pretty nice. Surprisingly stable for what it is. Definitely keeping an eye on this, especially since the code is out there to make DIY kangs with.
