I'm running Hyperdroid CM7 Jumping Jaguar.
Previously I'd installed the (free) My Vodafone app from the Market (whilst running Insightful Impala), but uninstalled it when I had problems with it turning off WiFi.
There's now an updated version on the Market, but I get the message that it's incompatible with my phone, so can't download it.
Has anyone got the apk for the 26th October version?
try adjusting your screen dpi hyperdroid uses a higher dpi than normal and that can cause apps to not like you.
No, I've tried a whole range of resolutions.
Ah, though I tried changing the resolution to 160 early this morning (and it didn't work) I've just gone into the Market again and now it's downloadable. Weird!
Case closed!

hey... i uninstalled the entire YouTube app from my phone instead of uninstalling the update. and now i cannot download the app again from the Market. there's no download button showing. does the same thing when i'm looking to re-download Shazam. i don't know what the heck is wrong with my Market all of a sudden. i even went on the web browser based version of Market to see if i could download it from there but it says "This app is incompatible with your T-Mobile HTC HTC HD2." WTF?! it was compatible before.
i found an older version of the YouTube app (v1.6.21), but i would like a newer one (or even the latest one) from a legitimate source. preferably one from a XDA board member. Market won't even try and update the YouTube app i installed. lame. can anyone point me the right way? thanks.
Just reflash a whatever rom you are using and the shop should be reinstalled

Settings > Applications > Market > Uninstall Updates ..
Go to Market > "Accept" > Look for YouTube and install.
Don't know why is this happening with the new market, but I have the same problem, fixed by using the old market.
Clear in your device market cache.then change your screen density to 240 and you will be able to download these apps

oh man. as soon as uninstall the update to the Market app, it updates itself again the moment i start the Market app.
so that avenue doesn't work. someone PM'd me the APK.
but i'm still annoyed that Market it refusing to let me redownload stuff like YouTube and Shazam. i notice it won't even let me try and download Google Books. and i've never installed it before.
Wow thats really wierd, maybe flashing a different rom will help
guys the problem with new market is that it reads screen density. If you have screen density different from 240 you will not be able to download many apps.As far i know hyperdroid rom uses 167ppi density so many apps are not compatible.ofcourse only in the "paper",because if you download and install it,it will work.
If you dont want to change your screen density to 240 permanently use from market the app lcd density
install it,clear market cache, set density to 240,reboot method "kill" and wait to hot reboot.after reboot open market and it will let you to download the app. Then go again to lcd density and put your desired density or make a normal reboot and it will be again in your desired screen density
aaaaaahhh i had no idea it was the density, i'm currently in eu, with a swiss sim, i thought it was something to do with that... -.- now that i find out it's with the density, it almost makes too much sense from what i thought. -.- i didnt uninstall the updates, but i changed my density, and had to clear cache and data. works fine now. thanks guys.
Hello. I'm sure this has been asked many times, and I apologize for adding another, but I still can't seem to find a solution to this. So the new market app v3.0.27 (is that even the latest version?) doesn't show all the apps, particularly in the "Top Free" section. It also won't allow me to download certain applications like Google Books. The market was running fine just a couple of days ago, but I don't know what's going on now. I tried clearing market cache and google services data but that didn't work ether. Any suggestions?
I am currently running Phiremod 6.3 with the transformbread theme.
Thanks in advance
This is happening to me as well. So far I've been unable to get Flash and Facebook as well as a few others. If I figure it out I'll update.

You can always try uninstalling the market updates. Or installing an old vending.apk
Use search, you'll find TONS of posts relating to this in the past couple weeks.
HRDLYWRKNG try this
First force stop market and clear the data and cache.
Go to system\build.prop
change the line qemu.sf.lcd_density=161 to 160
reboot and market should work
If you could see movies then you should be able to upgrade and download any app without issues
May I know if you are in America? If you are not, try VPN. For me after upgrade to CM7, Angry Bird and many other application only appear after I used an US IP addres..
yup changing the screen density to 160 worked like a charm. Thanks again guys
Those instuctions(pdf) worked for me.
You can also switch back to 161 after you get it to work. Market took up a lot of resources after time under 160. Also had a few problems with apps like the nook app. When switched back you will still have a working market
Skip everything I just said. It worked for a little bit but now it sucks again

As I have stated elsewhere, using 240 instead of 160 to fix market and it appears to work flawlessly ( no data clearing, no app problems etc). Going on over 3 days now without having to do a single thing with the market.
Dunno why this should be the case, but market really is more stable at 240 than 160.

I don't like my icons that big. I would rather go through the lame process of changing my dpi and clearing market every few days then to be stuck at such a large dpi. Maybe I will switch to 240 when I do it but it's not going to stay that way

Hi all. All of the sudden (or maybe I just noticed) hardly any apps are compatible with my device on the web market.
I had the latest apk with the +1 and yellow incompatability message so uninstalled it to try and resolve the issue as I was getting the message for most apps even ones like Skype which say in the description they are compatible!
I was on kratos when I first noticed it (full restock and flash as per guide). I have wiped cache, dalvik, fixed permissions, factory reset, re flashed, smashed my head against a wall etc etc you name it- nothing works.
I like my LCD density quite low at 175 and have heard this can cause issues but this problem seems to occur even at 240. I'm on 200 now and running an older market as I'm also now running cm7 because I was sick of this happening on overcome- it seems I'm the problem though, not the Tom, otherwise everyone would have this issue. WTF is going on?! What can I do?! On the older market a massive handful of apps don't show, and on the web market pretty much anything is incompatible.
I know this type of thing is discussed in variances across different threads but it is my hope that by starting this thread anyone else who might share my problem or get it in the future or already have solved it, will be able to come here for some answers.
Hope someone can help me!

This has just started happening for me too. I have a feeling its because I don't have a SIM card in it and I'm only using it with WIFI. I've seen similar issues with owners of the P1010 which is WIFI only. I can't be sure if that's the problem but it's driving me crazy.
Please help :|
Could also be the new version of the market? I tried uninstalling the update but it just reinstalled straight away and the 'market autoupdate' app doesn't show up in the market for me...
Hi I have also found the same just after installing LCD density and changing it to 200 I have a sim card installed so it is nothing to do with the sim. I manage to download the apk's from other sources and love the screen at the new LCD density setting so will not be uninstalling it.
I changed my density as well and have the same issue. The solution I have found is that the old version of the market works fine, so uninstall the update, then either delete or rename marketupdater.apk.
Your market should now function properly.

Where is the marketupdater.apk? I did a 'find / -name .apk | grep market' but nothing. Or do I need to uninstall the market updates first?
I use an app called systemapp Uninstaller, I found it in system apps

Thanks a lot. That did the trick. I used a free apparently called Remover.
Hopefully Google fix this soon. I liked the look of the new market

Hey dudes...
This solution worked for me and my viewpad7 w/ FlintFire ROM and screen rezised. The market was driving me crazy with "your device is not compatible with this application" message.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the input all, I'll give it a go. I know that I can reach market updater through t.backup. if it works I'm going down to 175 that's the perfect LCD density for me!!

Anyone else having trouble running the Nook Android App with CM7.1.0 stable with the default 160dpi setting? I just migrated my NC from 7.0.3 to 7.1.0 and I'm having issues with the magazines (they are all "on top" of one another when you try to expand the stack) and the informational windows are all the wring size. I tried clearing data from manage applications and also uninstalling and resinstalling the app. Nothing seems to fix it. It's kind of a pain.

It is a known issue and a problem with the app.
So, there is not a fix for it currently. What I end up doing is archiving all the magazines but the one I want to read and the archive it when I'm done and unarchive the new one. Its a long process but it works. I don't want to have to change my DPI every time I want to read. Maybe someone will decompile the API and see what they can do to it, just like the original Netflix APK.

Thanks for the info, guys. It seems ironic that the nook app would not work properly on the nook. I guess I will just do the archiving thing until B&N gets it straight.
B&N App
Download LCD density set it to 161 ,reboot and your nook App will work as it should .

That will screw up the market. You can use it to change the density for the session but I would not set it to remain on reboot.
A possible solution for you
I use Nook Odds and Ends from the Market. Set dpi to 150 and all works well for me. I am on Phiremod, but it is based on CM7 so should get same results.
160 actually cause more problem for me so i've switched back to the stock default 169.3333
161 also work
I'm running CM7.1 stable, and I'm noticing that the latest 6.x versions of Google Maps crash HARD. No idea why. Was able to revert to a backup of 5.9.0, which still runs pretty smoothly.

Updated to maps 6.x and it was unresponsive when the map displayed location. Reverted back to maps 5.x from Titanium Backup.
Okay. Glad it's not just me!

Start 6.0, it crashed and FC'ed all the times.
I updated to 6.0.1, to 6.0.3, still no go.
I guess, reverse back to v. 5.12 is the best.
Same here, reverted back to 5.11 from TB.

Exact same thing here, with CM7.1 and Maps 6.0. I found Maps 5.10 online, D/L/ed and installed it. All 's fine now.
I am running the MiRaGe CM7.2 on my NC, Maps 6.0.3 works fine. FYI.
CM7.1 and maps 6.x crash for me aswell
In my Viewpad 10S (3.2) is the same, the solution is uninstall the update to the lower one.
Don't update to 6.0
hmm does anyone know if the ownhere/brutall maps fc aswell?
I've encountered the same problem described here. Today I tried to change the LCD resolution setting from 160 DPI to 240 DPI and it seems the FC issue gets better. The new problem is the icons on the status bar is getting larger and occupying all the space. Therefore the clock could not be read anymore. Is there any trick to tweak the icon size on high DPI setting?
