[Q] Best deal on a Vivid

I have been searching online and it appears the regular upgrade price is $199-00 from ATT and others with Costco being $10 cheaper and they include some accessories plus a favorable return policy.
Anyone know of any better deals out there?
I missed out on Fry's $60 ($90 with tax) deal.

The best deal I could find was $600 at AT&T.

I thought the upgrade price through att was $99.00. That is what I paid for it.

I got mine for $199.00 but two weeks later the black Friday price was $99.00. I got the $100.00 refund of course but I haven't seen it for $99.00 since then.

Good spot, well done. I find it unusual though that they charge you tax on the full retail amount bringing the total somewhere near $120. They also have a lousy 13 day return policy. Makes you wonder if the saving is really worth it.

Not worth it for me considering I would have to drive from Memphis to Duluth or Milton Georgia to partake of the offer.

This is in Canada so i don't know if its the same in the US. Just go into a Best Buy store and see if they got the promo. Plus they should be able to price match with others including carries plus 10% off.

It shows black, but its for the white. I just went to the Fry's in Duluth, GA and picked up 2. One for me and one for the wife. Way better than paying 200! Well worth the 16 hour round trip drive. All I have seen is the black model and never saw the white until yesterday, and I gotta say is, it is a sexy beast! Black looks good, but white looks better. Anyone in the Atlanta area goes to partake of the offer, they only have one more white left. The blacks are being sold at 130.

If you happen to work for AT&T they are offering a $199 discount for this phone if you are upgrading.

I picked mine up for $17 Canadian.
Hardware upgrade price was supposed to be either $99 or $149, I don't remember, but it rang up at $59.99 (at a Rogers store), and while I was signing the paperwork the woman told me 'Don't forget to log into your Rogers account to redeem the $50 mail-in rebate.' I thought it was too good to be true, but sure enough, when I got home, I logged in, and a few minutes later received an email stating that a $50 credit had been applied to my account.
So $10 for the phone, plus $7 (the taxes on $60).
Two days later, a friend picked one up and was charged $150. When she mentioned my deal, the guy at the store said 'Oh, that's not right. But there's nothing we can do about it now.'

Got mine for 99 and my upgrade was not but until march. I called cs and asked if icould get an early upgrade they talked to a supervisor and they offered it and the sgs 2 for 99. Never been happier.

I tried getting the local ATT store to price match and was again turned down. They told me to call retentions at ATT.
Got on the phone with them and they saw me right!!
Phone is on the way to me. I reckon I should see somewhat of a difference between it and my TP2!

Lets Talk orders delayed and cases not till Mid May...

I just galled in to get an update on my order status as it is no longer able to be checked via the lets talk website. I was going to find out when it would arrive and then see if I could get a phone locally and cancel my pre-order. The recording when you call says there are now further delays with the 32gb and 64gb developer editions, didn't say anything about carrier specific models and I didn't get through to anyone.
The message also said the double dip free cases are on backorder until mid may as well so you will not have something to protect your phone for the first few weeks if you get one from them.
Just a heads up.

If you need something just for the time being, I shared a link to a clear tpu case from handheld items dot com for $0.99 it just came yesterday. Shipped within 5 days. It doesn't seem half bad but hard to tell without a phone inside it. Later today I'll share pics and more details.

I actually got a hold of someone and my order is scheduled to be received on Monday as scheduled. She didnt say anything about the case so I guess we will see when I get the confirmation on the shipment.

I just cancelled my order and went into my local best buy, they had lots of silver and black ones available and in stock so I just picked one up and will order a case online from Amazon.

From what I seen, its $199.99 with contract and $699.99 w/o. I also did not see that they had any black versions out and from what I know, noone will for some time.

It was the 199.99 for me with upgrade and was 699 without.
I had them open a black and a silver so I could hold the real phones next to each other and see which I liked more. Not sure why I feel this way but, the black just looks too much like other phones on the market so I wanted to go with the Silver.

Galaxy s4 was available at my local sprint store this morning

I reserved the Galaxy s4 at my local Sprint store on Monday. Walked in today and they had 8 available. So needless to say, you might want to check your local Sprint store to see if they had any shipments because mine did. By the way I returned the HTC One for this phone and I couldn't be happier.

Sprint won't be my carrier but if they have them in store I would stop by just to check out the phone in person, assuming they have one for display.

Our 2 local sprint stores and BB all got the Sprint S4's in today. I almost bought one, but they would not match the online price of $149 that I could get on sprint.com by adding a new line. So I came home and ordered one up instead. $100 is a $100. But it was nice to play with one in the store a bit before making the final decision.

Wait, what? I thought Sprint delayed all of the S4s. When I called BB about my pre-order yesterday to see if it was affected, all I got was that it wasn't in yet and they wouldn't get any sort of an ETA because of them using drop shipment to (supposedly) get it there faster. I may have to drop in today and see what's up with that. >.>
Edit: Just did so. According to the rep I spoke with, Samsung only shipped the ATT phones. All other carriers' S4s have yet to show up. Anyone else running into something similar?

We went into the Sprint store shortly after they opened on Saturday just to see if they might have received any. I'd heard the delayed rumors too, so was not shocked when they said no. Mgr said he'd got an email the night before saying they might try to scrape a few together and get them there, so check back later. Basically the same story at the BB store 2 blocks away. Called later in the day and the Sprint store had them in. So I went in and played with it for a while. When they could not price match the web price, we went over to BB. They had also received the phones but would not match the price either.
All were Sprint phones, both colors, 16gb. They are getting delivered for retail sales, at least in some areas. Guaranteed. You can call the Sprint or BB stores in Rogers and Bentonville Arkansas to confirm it, if you'd like. They may all be sold out by now as there were folks lined up to look at them, but they had them for a while yesterday, at the least. I had a black one in my hands and ready to buy until the ad match snafu came up.

Sprint stores in NJ had them...but the store by me only had 6, 3 white / 3 black...I walked in after 3hrs of them being opened and they still had 4.

Haha your first paragraph was just be way my several went at one of my local corporate store I reserved a handset at. But when I called a friend at another corporate location just a few towns south of me, she said she had a huge supply but we're running low rapidly. And even at 10:15am the store was PACKED! So in turn, I had a feeling that some stores may have some supply. Which was exactly what happened. Funny, cause the 2 BB stores in Mt area have the Samsung booths. Neither were displaying anything. Which I thought was unusual, cause even though there is a delay, I would have thought that they would at least wanna show Em off

I got mine! 4.2.2 is alot different. Menu's have more to it. Overall I am liking the GS4. Bigger screen, smoother and faster than my GS3. I cant wait until a solid root is out there and for Ktoons OC kernel to come out! I can see this thing rocking 2.5 GHZ with it's quad core! My Quadrant score is already 12,772 stock, so I'm thinking 18,000 is possible!

Spoke to a sprint employee on the 24th(after they stopped taking pre-orders) and was told they'd only get enough S4s to satisfy pre orders and then would have to wait for "a week or so" for a shipment of S4s for the general public. So I preordered from amazon and they said they'd ship the today and deliver May 1st. But yesterday I called local sprint stores and 3rd one I called said they had one left in white. Amazon preorder cancelled shortly their after . Any way what I took away from this fro any one still looking for S4s is that some sprint stores have general public stock but generally the bigger stores closer to downtown (I'm in Houston). The stores that only have pre order stock just don't know what the hell they are talking about .

I'm in Houston too and got mine from the Westpark store. They had plenty of them. Like 50 or so! Don't know about today though.....

I must have gotten lucky, because I ordered mine online from Sprint Saturday the 28th in the afternoon (pst), and received a shipping notification Sunday at 10AM and received my shipment Monday morning at 9:45 AM. Needless to say I was happily shocked

I was able to use Upgrade Now for $100 fee. They bought my cracked E4GT for $64. They said they had 13 white and 8 black.

I think it will be a few weeks until the colors get to sprint. Maybe around the April 11th time frame. The gun metal color is awesome IMO. The amber gold looks flat.

I'm getting it - but I'm wanting the silver color (like the OG One.) and Sprint charging $250 on upgrade is kind of ridiculous. I'll be getting mine likely at BestBuy or Radioshack in the next two weeks or so.
EDIT: Verizon's $199 on upgrade AND they have a bogo deal at the moment. Sprint's slapping us in the face.

The wife, little sister, and I all got our EVO 4G LTE around the same time and we're all due for an upgrade. The wife wants the gold one (or the rumored red one) but Best Buy's gold phone page seems to be down at the moment. There seemed to be some incentives last time around ($50 or $100 extra off through some promotions) but I don't see any of that now.
Really wanting the phone but I'd like to see what the big box retailers are gonna give with it.

Online it was $249.99 for an upgrade, but when I called in to Sprint Telesales (1-888-882-4030) there was an additional $50 mail-in rebate bringing it down to $199.99. They charge a shipping and activation fee bringing it back up to $247.99, but I was able to get a manager to price match the free shipping on the website to bring it back down to $235.99. All in all, between all the attempted upsells for TEP, screen protectors, cases, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, Sprint Buy Back, adding another line, etc, the manager intervention, and having to listen to the full terms and conditions the phone ordering process took 30 minutes (not including time on hold, which was minimal). I also let them talk me into an Otterbox (but I can return that to my local Sprint store if I don't like it).
If the website was waiving the activation fee it would've almost been a wash.

A few minutes prior to this post I got the shipping confirmation. I should have it by end of business on Thursday.
I'm upgrading from my M7, which I got via a third party. If I were staying true to my upgrade cycle, I'd technically be upgrading from the Evo 4G LTE.

Edge 64GB Pre-Order Delays?

I pre-ordered at my local BB at 10am on the 27th. Went into the store this morning despite not receiving an email to check on it. They informed me that all of the AT&T shipments were late compared to the other carriers and that they had no stock of the 64's yet. I called the three closest AT&T stores around me and the answer was the same -- 32 are in stock, but nobody has any 64.
Anybody else have a similar experience? Has anyone been able to pick up their 64 today?

I plan on doing this in a hour. Pacific time .
If they don't have my 64GB white for ATT that I preordered 3-31, I'll go to the ATT which is in the same parking lot lol.
If ATT doesn't have it, I'll just have to opt for a 128GB of that's available. If neither are available I'll settle for a 32GB....

Nobody had the 128s where I checked as well, but phone shipments certainly aren't equally distributed. If you live in a more suburban area than I do you're likely to have better luck.

Checked all the ATT in the area and none have the 64GB edge , but they do have the regular S6 in 64. Going to opt for the regular most likely...

oh boy I sense ATT getting heat if all the Platinum/Gold Pre-Orders that were said to be shipped out around the 24th which are now being shipped recieve there Edge before all the black ones who were promiced by the 10th. Kind of glad I ordered the platinum Gold one.

Aside from the shipment being late at my BB, their system couldn't do my trade-in/up on my old iPhone, it wouldn't accept the SKU. So eventually they call up AT&T, no go. I call AT&T and they proceed to tell me that Best Buy does not have the capability to do a trade-in.
That's right, AT&T claimed that Best Buy cannot do a @#$% trade-in.
So I fought with them some more, and they had me do the pay-up over the phone with them. Still, the sale wouldn't work. They call AT&T again, AT&T says "oh if you do trade-in it can take 24 hours for it to process".
Because, you know, NO ONE ever walks into a store to trade-in their phone and walk out with a new one.
Sensing some BS, I call them again. They then proceed to tell ME that, oh no, the payment processed just fine, it's that BEST BUY has a bad system but hey if you place your order with me and give me the sale I can do it right now and put it in the mail for ya this afternoon. No thanks, I just had Jason here struggle for about 95 minutes trying to make this order happen, I'm not letting you guys just throttle BB's ability to make sales just because you want to force people to buy directly through you.
It was really insane. AT&T seemed to just REFUSE to let Best Buy sell me the phone, their story repeatedly changed as to why it wasn't working, but I don't think they realized I was standing there with the sales reps and had actually seen other people do trade-ins. I eventually got it, but MAN it was a fight.

Wow. All for the commision.

I placed my pre-order on the 3rd of April, BB.com, and I received it in store on the 10th, AT&T black sapphire 64GB and got the free wireless charger pad.

No 64GB Edge models in SLC yet
Same issue here in Salt Lake City. I was told I was the first to pre-order the white Edge 64GB AT&T version. I also ordered a standard S6 32GB in black. I got the notification Friday morning on the black one, but nothing on mine. I waited until 4pm and then just went to the store. After waiting an hour to be helped, I was told I could not leave with the black one unactivated (it's for my nephew out of state and is a surprise graduation gift), and that no 64GB white Edge phones arrived at all. They had no idea when they might get them. So I left empty handed and extremely annoyed, even though the BB staff was apologetic and offered to hold the wireless charging pad for my nephew's phone even though I theoretically wouldn't pick it up for two months.
I checked a few AT&T stores, but they didn't get any 64GB Edge models at all either. I was told only those who preordered directly through AT&T online and had their phones shipped to them got the 64GB version, at least in my area. The AT&T stores could also not tell me when they might be in stock, but suggested I order online and could get one in as little as one business day. I do see they are shipping and just had a live chat with an AT&T rep online who told me white 64GB Edge models were ready to ship to customers.
I still haven't gotten any communication from Best Buy on my phone - not even the "sorry for the delay" email some are reporting. And yes, I've checked spam. I think I'll be ordering from AT&T online tonight.

I gave up on my Bestbuy preorder also. I preordered a white 64GB S6. Got an email on the 10th about a delay. I cancelled yesterday and ordered the 64GB Platinum / Gold S6 Edge from AT&T.

Ordered my 64GB Gold Platinum Edge yesterday, order status says it's "Preparing for shipment". I have the same 4/24-4/27 estimated ship date as well but the guy who helped me at my AT&T store said it'd be delivered in 3-5 Days. I've heard people getting theirs way sooner than the estimated ship date and I'm wondering if that's just applying to a certain model, or all of them.

Well that sucks, must be in bigger cities? I walked into a Best Buy just to look at one on 4/12 thinking I wasn't eligible for a few more weeks, ended up walking out with a 'black' 64gb edge. But it had problems, had a bunch of what looked like waves on the underside of the glass (mfg defect?). Went back in last Thursday and swapped for another one in stock (no issues).

We bought a white and black 64gb edge. My wife's black one had a bubble under the LCD. While I was having mine wrapped at Clear Coat we noticed it. We took it back to the store and had it swapped out only to see a line of waves under the screen. They wouldn't swap it for another one abs told us we had to contact Samsung directly .
