To those of you annoyed that the Rom and CyanogenMod MIUI memories are mounted differently than the stock rom based? well, with this patch you will not have worries after her recovery, you will find the flash memory under mnt / sdcard and external sd mounted under mnt / sdcard / _externalsd just like the stock rom!
the patch has been tested by me on build 195,196,197,198 and did not have any problem
changelog:
v1.0
made 100% compatible with any build cm7 and MIUI
v0.2
improved compatibility
v0.1
initial relase
Download v1.0

how to install the patch? simple, just flash with ClockworkMod!!
Before flashing make sure the patch folder /mnt/sdcard is present _ExternalSD
If there is not create it

Works like it should. Thanx.
Just to point out the usual stuff, stacked mounts are not good and could result in data lost etc

;D true hehe
The patch that I designed with the intention of playing as memories of mounting in the stock rom.
reading here on the forum I noticed that there is a debate which was attributed to each build a patch with the buil.prop different, then I have tried to create a patch instead of replacing the build.prop only changes in the present Rom, so there is a universal patch that works on old builds and builds future, think about the loss of data that the risk is comparable to that of the stock rom almost non-existent or very low, otherwise it would be so even on stocks
Mine is clearly a point of view, but I can not say for sure having never lost any data
and no matter what I think the end is better than a patch Universal already seen is not universal
Greetings to all
sorry for my bad English but it's not my mother tongue
Now i am too scared using this patch...Is it safe? There was the similar ones, but it says that it brings the media data lost.

That u say it's not possible. This zip can't delete files, nor partitions.
Try give us more info about your situation
Did you create the _ExternalSD folder in /mnt/sdcard before using this zip?
If not, reflash the cyanogenmod rom, create that folder and flash again the Oiza's zip.
It is possible, doing this may result in data loss, I mentioned it earlier.

Everything's possible, but what i wanna understand is "how is it possible to have a datalost in an operation where there is only a changing of mounting point?
In these cases there is often a way back to original situation.
I wonder if data can be deleted by this operation but I'd be very grateful if you could give me some 'of your time to explain this or tell me about some good links.
I don`t know how,but my images and videos on sdcard were deleted after flashing this zip.
Works briliant, thanks man!

Hi all,
I've patched MediaScanner and services.jar in Gingerbread to support mounting Internal Storage.
This will allow apps to utilize Internal Storage including Music apps and any other apps which use the MediaScanner database.
What this doesn't fix is mounting Internal Storage over USB (I couldn't get anything mounted over USB on any ROM's I've tried.. in the hour I spent playing with it).
Anyway, here is the fix. It's a flashable zip. Remember to backup before trying this.

Damn n_i_x
You rock man thx!
Is there any chance you can apply this to the Desire ROM (preferably mine since the services has already been modified with other things)
Or atleast give us the details of the fix.
Just in case I have attached the 2 files in a zip for the Desire
Thanks
Nils
It works! Thanks a million for this n_i_x! Glad to see you working on Gingerbread. GB is now my daily thanks to you!

Flashed the fix and now I'm keeping this rom as my daily driver. Thank you guys so much. Can't wait til GPS and camcorder bugs are also taken care of. Screeny!

You need to let it finish scanning your media. The MediaProvider database gets wiped out after it gets replaced so it can take around 15 minutes or so to scan the entire device depending on how much media is on the system. This fix scans music, images, and everything else MediaProvider supports.

3. This is highly experimental and can brick your phone.

it's ok.. im also excited for the ICS porting
Maybe someone can try it by nvflash.
I wonder if lox has made any progress since he dropped this.

there is link for ICS for 17 different phones. i downloaded ICS for my Optimus 2X Star and it works fine.
Full wipe and done ^^ try it out and post some taughts!
Edit.
Now that i check some of the options and "about Phone" section i noticed that this rom don't know my real SD card size...
It is 32Gb and it only shows 5.50Gb :S thats odd.
What seems to be a problem :S
And of course Backup first

But this is not stock ICS, right? It is a MIUI ROM with ICS as base?!
Yeah thats right but well it's start you know
Please enlight me more by testing it.
What you think?^^
I believe I saw a thread about this MIUI ICS-like ROM on a czech android board and guy who tried that mentioned that it's just 2.3.7 base with edited build.prop
It's not ICS, its just MIUI with ICS theme and build.prop edited to display 4.0. Fake!
Well it works like 10x faster than v20L official Gb release from LG or MCR release so it's enought to me
For now!
And they got auto updates straight to the phone

Dunno if this is real only fake - Galnet said he integrated the ICS framework into MIUI that's all...maybe reverse engineered from SDK, maybe not, but I have a good performance, stability and fast internet access, that's what I'm caring about
Why should he do reverse engineering?
The sources are on AOSP since some days...

There is probably a guide for this already, but if there is, it is deep, deep down
What we will need:
Some way to connect the SD Card to the PC (using the phone USB with storage mode on is fine)
Minitool partition wizard - http://partitionwizard.com - the home edition is fine for this.
The steps:
Connect the SD card to the computer
Launch minitool

Select your SD Card MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SELECT YOUR HARD DRIVE!
On the left, there will be an option to Resize the drive. Select this and resize as necessary (If you have a 6GB drive, and want a 1GB ext2, resize it to 5GB).
Do the same again for a swap partition.
Check the operations on the left bar, to make sure you are happy with them and click 'Apply'.
Wait for it to complete. DONE! Eject you sdcard, and put it back into your phone. You can now download an app like link2sd to use it, or use swap
NOTE: I am in no way responsible if your data goes missing!
NOTE2: Not all ROM's have swap support. Most (if not all) CM rom's now do, however, you may need the 07swapon script. Please check my post to get that

I think you or anyone could make a tutorial about how to build up a system (not a kernel, but just a e.g. cm7, cm9, aokp, aosp), in order to make our developer thread much more colorful. Just an idea...

So how is link2sd and clockwormod recovery backup?
When I have ext2/3/4 secondary partition and create backup, than do files and linked stuff go to sd-ext? After restore will there be working linking during boot? And what happens when the secondary partition is fat32?

When you backup with CWM, as long as the ROM you are using mounts the /sd-ext.
When the backup file is made, the sd-ext file contains all the symlinks, so yes, backups work (I have made it loads of times).
This rom is not developed by me!!

BUGS on Flyme OS 4.1.1R KK 4.4.4:
*External sd card formated as EXT-FAT not work, [we need help to try fix it]
*Other formats like FAT32, as recognized but only accessed via file manager, applications in that Rom not works with SD card
because the Meizu phone not have sdcard, and apps like music, photos, and others not read the info from sd only from internal memory.
Thanks kealy, for share the Lollipop version with us!

Tried this out but the ROM file wouldn't copy across to the internal drive when it got to a couple of the files it cancelled. Happened twice. I still tried to install but TWRP couldn't find the folder. Which folder should the ROM file go?
Also what is the significance of putting the numbered new folder in TWRP, i couldn't see that as necessary.
