Yeah. Stylish. Very nice.
Edit: Have you got the original wallpaper of this one?
Nevermind - I found it with Google Goggles on the DHD.
Cheers.

Thanks for sharing the collection btw.. some really neat ones in there!!!

The images are in the same order as the file names in each package so shouldn't be difficult in guessing what is what

uploaded few MU screen on the first thread..

I did not get to work...
Plugged in device; charge only.
Renamed "droid3.img" to "spash1.img" (no quotes of course).
Ran .bat file; phone rebooted to bootloader for about a second and rebooted.
Still the stock HTC splash screen....
Any suggestions?

Try this:
1. reboot into bootloader manually or give command from your PC -> adb reboot bootloader
2. once in bootloader give command (from the same folder of your splash screen) -> fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
you'll get something like this if it went fine:
sending 'splash1' (750 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.140s]
writing 'splash1'...
OKAY [ 0.250s]
finished. total time: 0.390s
3. then give command -> fastboot reboot

From searching this "Failed" error, I may need ENG S-OFF?
I do not have ENG S-OFF; I rooted the phone using attn1's Advanced Ace Hack Kit. Do you think that is why I get the "Failed" error?
Is there a way to flash without having ENG S-OFF?

ENG S-OFF is a must to flash img's like custom recovery or splash screen..
And having ENG S-OFF is not a harmful thing, rather it gives you more room to play with the device

Is there a way to flash this without using a PC and fastboot?
I've read in other forums and tried to rename the zip PD98IMO.ZIP and flash in automatically from HBOOT but I get an error because android-info.txt isn't correct for this phone.

THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED AND YOU MIGHT BRICK YOUR DEVICE, but you can save the .img file in your SD-Card and using a terminal application type:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/splash.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19
it should work, but I take no responsibility, you've been warned.
Anyway, here's my contribution (you can find it attached, unzip first) :

Hi Appache,
I'm pretty new in the Android platform so I do apologize for the silly question
I could not flash the image. I'm getting this:
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk-windows\tools>fastboot.exe flash spla
sh1 splash.img
sending 'splash1' (750 KB)... OKAY [ 0.186s]
writing 'splash1'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.187s
I have rebooted the phone (screenshot attached) - is that OK?
... and run the command as you adviced in the 1st post.
I have S-OFF (as you can see from the screenshot). I've rooted, unlocked the phone according you guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857444
Another question would be: Can I somehow replace the carrier logo in the phone? Is that splash2 or I'm completely wrong?
Thanks for all your effort man!

You need ENG-OFF to use ADB. You can put ENG-OFF over S-OFF.
You were absolutely right mate. Done eng s-off and it went like a charm. Nice one, thanks. Oh and about the orange logo I winged about in my question - that's sorted by a different ROM

HBOOT-2.00.0000
RADIO-3822.10.08.28_M
eMMC-boot
Nov 1 2011,20:33:03

Have you installed adb and fastboot on you Pc?
If yes, boot into fastboot usb, copy the attached file to the fastboot folder
open cmd in the folder with the adb and fastboot driver and write
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-vivo.img
boot than again into bootloader and select recovery
than toggle usb mount, copy this file downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip to you sd card
than disconnect, install zip from sd card and select the superuser zip file.
after that reboot and you're rooted
There would be enough tutorials, but today i'm really "nice"... unbelieveable.
Thanks for your help, and the files, i will try that tonight.
I had just started reading the tutorials and looking at apps like Gingerbreak etc, would have taken me a while to figure out the best option, so much appreciated, thanks again.

No, you should not need ENG S-OFF to flash a custom recovery. If you are using a Windows PC, besides the adb.exe and fastboot.exe have you installed the HTC drivers?
Yes i installed them all including the HTC Sync and then uninstalled HTC Sync as suggested, perhaps it did not leave the drivers when i did that, I will look into it.
Thanks, i was not sure if i needed ENG S-OFF.

On second thought, the reason the fastboot flash recovery command is failing is that even though you have S-OFF, the HBOOT is locked and some of the fastboot commands are disabled, thus the "remote: not allowed" message.
I have attached a PG32IMG.zip file that you can copy to your SD card (copy the file and rename it PG32IMG.zip) and then boot into HBOOT and it will flash CWM recovery from the zip file.
Then you can boot into CWM recovery and flash the su-3.0 zip file to gain root.

OK, thanks. Give the attached PG32IMG.zip file in my other post a shot. That should work and get CWM installed and then you can flash su-3.0.zip in recovery mode.
Unfortunately the file you attached is only 1kb when downloaded, even though it says 3.6mb? next to it, could you check it, i have tried a few times, thanks for your help.

Thanks again, i believe it worked, so i deleted the PG32IMG and have now copied su-3.0-efgh-signed to the sd card.
Now in HBOOT it has
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
HBOOT USB
IMAGE CRC
how do i go about running the 'su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip' do i do it from here?

Going back to the instructions listed above, select RECOVERY and that should put you in ClockworkMod Recovery. Use the Volume Up Down keys to select a menu item and push the Power button to select it.
First I would make a backup by selecting the 'backup and restore' menu.
Next you would choose the 'install zip from SDcard' and then 'choose zip file from SDcard' Select the SU-3.0....zip file
Then select the 'reboot system now'
Unfortunately i already did it, so did not get to backup , everything seems to have gone well, but now titanium backup and superuser do not seem to work, says no root access still, titanium said something about busybox?
Strange as everything seem to go well after your help.

What does the Superuser app do when you try to launch it?
It comes up with a white screen with apps and logs listed at the top under the superuser logo, the logs have a couple of items listed that were denied, like lucky patcher and titanium.

Do you have Terminal Emulator app? You could dowload that and then run it. On the terminal screen then type the command 'su' and hit the Return key. You should get a prompt from the Superuser app to allow and then the prompt in the terminal window should change to a #.

to get the md5 value, go back to the webpage where you have downloaded the file. then use winmd5 to calculate md5 value of the downloaded file. The value must be same exact thing as that one on the download page.
i.e If I download arhd 53 rom from this page:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
then I must check md5 of my downloaded file using WinMD5 and it must be DF9854F79C6E6928BEFD6EC43EC9F4A5
if not then its a bad download and the rom will not flash properly.
hope its clear for you

what are you trying to flash? that thread you linked shows RUUs... ruu's are flashed in ruu mode:
in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <name of file>.zip
fastboot flash zip <name of file>.zip <- yes TWICE!!
fastboot reboot-bootloader
though if you are S-On, then only an official signed package (same or higher version) will work, I don't know if those are signed or not.

ah then it seems it's a signed zip (since you said MD5 is correct), which you can flash with S-On... go for it, and copy/paste command prompt should you get an error.
remember the flash zip has to be done twice!!

well you can forget the 2.09.1403.1 ruu, since you're already on "os-2.25.1403.1"... that would be a downgrade, so wouldn't work unless S-Off
and can you post a "fastboot getvar all" (excluding IMEI, MEID, and s/n).... i'll try downloading the 4.21.1403.31 version and see what that looks like... but it'll take a few hours at least, so nothing before tomorrow probably

Before starting root procedure make sure that you have backup all installed apks, in order to avoid apk update after installing patched firmware, as it consume more bandwidth & time.
Steps to Root
1- Download the full version of firmware patch: new version folder 1.15.40.639.
https://mega.nz/#F!lodnzDhK!H5ChxausDTyko1qGlnF7dw!Fg9FwLoa
2- Descompress system.img.7z with 7zip program
3- Copy the boot.img / system.img / recovery.img to (adb/fastboot) folder.
4- Execute this commands in sequence:
-adb device
-adb reboot bootloader
-fastboot devices
-fastboot erase userdata
-fastboot erase cache
-fastboot flash boot boot.img
-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
-fastboot flash system system.img
It will take some time to finish approx 10 min, let it finish
-fastboot reboot
first time, it will take more time than usual, as it will build cache, if stuck more than 15 minute, remove battery & charging (if charging) & after insert battery after 2 min, go to recovery mode, wipe factory/data, erase cache, reboot system.
It will take some time to restart be patient.
now you do not need to install any super user it s already there.

Ok thnx.
Phone protected.....??
I downloaded these files and The CACHE and USERDATA got deleted,
but when I tried to flash the boot.img and recovery.img with fastboot, in both cases got the message:
FAILED (remote: Permission denied, phone is protected).
I did not even try to flash the system.img
Then when I did a fastboot reboot, I just got the ASUS screen with a spinning wheel during boot.
IDEAS?

If you only need to connect to it using ADB, you don't need to enter fastboot. Just enable USB Debugging in Developer Options and connect it to your computer using a USB cable. You must have ASUS USB drivers installed prior to doing this and just MAYBE you need to boot your Windows PC with TESTSIGNING on (I don't know if it works with it off. I always have it enabled).
Run the
Code:
adb devices
command and it should show.
Thanks for the inquiry, I'll be trying that later
