Well look, you updated your android version.
To rom a phone? More like to install a custom ROM. Those are better than stock because they may have fixes or extra options and stuff like that.
There are no Custom ROMs out for S+ except Cranium RC3.
I do not think it is worth it now but in the future...
As for downgrading your phone, I do not know. On Symbian phones it was impossible. I think you can on Android but don`t take my word for it!!!
Oh thank you.
But how I delete the name DELL and GINGERBIRD

The kernel name is not equal to the rom name. Thats so in every stock rom as far as i know. Gingerbread is the name of android version 2.3

Hi!

It's have been flashed with "CyanogenMOD 7.2.0"
I want to go back to stock, but i cant find my firmware.
This is the information from the "about" section in settings :
*Model number: GT-S5570

*Baseband Version: S5570XWKS2
*Mod version: CyanogenMOD-7.1.0-GalaxyMini-KANG

I have tried in here: http://samfirmware.com/
And i cant find the firmware that match to my phone.

http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/05/samsung-galaxy-mini-s5570-original.html
No sign to my ROM too.
someone can tell me what to download?
thanks .
You need XWKS2, should be availabe at sammobile.
I know,but i cant find it...
Its just not there.
Question : Why you need XWKS2 specifically ? I guess any SGM ROMS found in sammobile could be flashed through Odin. Its as simple as that.
Anyways here's your firmware (XWKS2) :

I'm not sure about 3G or Maps and Navigation and all, because I've not used it. But all other things such as Wifi/2G etc. works perfectly. I myself was using European GB stock firmware for long time.
HI guys
im new to the galaxy, been using the g2x for a while. i read all the guides here and on another forum and i still need some help. i want to root my phone, its with a stock rom:
2.3.3
baseband: I9000JHJV9
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000JHJVG-CL788779
[email protected]#2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.JHJVG
i know i need to replace the kernel with a modified one. could not find anything suitable since the build and baseband are too new (HJV9!?)
will this kernel do?

That should do it. In case anything goes wrong always have a stock rom on your PC and remember to read on how to flash with Odin (Samsung tool to flash roms and kernel's)
Once u start flashing there is no turning back...it's that much fun
