the question itself may have told some of you that i'm not too technical.
so here it is in plain language: will the galaxy tabs play vids larger than 4gb out of the box?
i'm planning to get the 7.7inch one. the tab to end all tabs it seems (ipad guys, DON'T!)
i ran across some workarounds for other devices, had something to do with fat32 and formating the sd etc. is there a solution for other devices like galaxy tab 7.7 and/or galaxy s2?
thanx in advance

So i got my galaxy tab from woot yesterday. One thing i noticed is that on the woot site, it said it was a 16gb model. is this supposed to mean internal memory? or do all tabs have the same 2gb's of internal memory and come with whatever size SD card they talk about?
I am thinking of picking up a Note. I was wondering if anybody had tried the new 64GB MicroSDXC cards with it. I know that the Galaxy II phones can read the card and I was hoping the note could as well.

I haven't tried one personally - I use a 32GB card. However there are reviews on the web that mention that the Note works fine with them, also others in forums here have used them.

Well, I wanted to know by curiosity if I can actually put a 64Gb sd card on the Samsung Galaxy Note n7000?
I know it can support up 32gb, but i wanted to know if people have put a 64 Gb sd card in their note!
Can you please tell me if there are issues such as lagging, freezing or the device becoming very slow?
thank you!
Apologies if this has been covered. The mini is specified to support 32gb only, has anyone tried a 64gb in it / know why 64 might not be supported?
I think it works. Maybe its some lagging.
It will only recognise it as a 32gb will it not?

I use a 64Gb Sandisk. Works fine.
Thanks all for your comments.
few people on this forum already confirmed that the 64GB are working fine, but all of them were using either SanDisk or Samsung 64GB microSD's...
so it works fine with those 2 brands, dont know about the other brands but im sure it will work fine with the major microSD producers outhere(Kingston,Verbatim etc)
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and it will only run 32Gb cards in Fat 32 format. So this prevents me from loading any movie files onto the tablet which are larger than 4GB. This is a sad limitation.
Anyway, I am thinking about buying a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tablet and I heard it will run 64Gb cards, but is it also limited to Fat 32 or can the Tab 3 8.0 run NTFS formatted cards so that it can also accommodate larger than 4Gb file sizes?
Cheers if anyone knows the answer to this. I can't seem to find this answer in any of the Samsung specs.
This forum is for tab 7" original P1000.

sorry dude but this is forum for Galaxy Tab 1 P1000
AFAIK: FAT32 should support Files up to 4GB's in size.
A better question is can we format the External SD to something more useful like EXT3 or EXT4?
More to a point why haven't we done this yet? If anything it would fook-up Microsoft's Patent Trolling of FAT32.
