It's still too early for phones , as the only device supported experimentally is the Galaxy Tab 7"
absolutely awesome it would be...
not an experiment if someone could produce a blueprint or a circuit diagram of galaxy ace, that would be easy now.

what's stopping you from trying that? You're a developer after all, otherwise you wouldn't be here.

first of all this is oldie thread may be my 2nd post or something like on xda..
second it requires good amount of chipset knowledge and UART things.. and most important thing adamoutler created it for hummingbird chipsets so sga chipset may not support the hack
Update?
So did anyone have any success in applying unbrickable mod on samsung s5830?

One general rule is to never request things (unless its like a mod for a ROM). Its cuz building such takes time and patching bugs takes even more time. And the dev might not have that much time to do such a thing... plus ubuntu is still in its developer stages...

I don't think so that the forum stops anyone from posting requests.. if everyone was a developer, then we would be having a million ROMs.. as users, we can post ideas.. if the dev team thinks it can be picked up, it is fine.. else it remains an idea...

No i didnt mean Forum rule. I just meant general rule of respect. Like how you shouldnt ask for things, u should just be happy with what u have
hey man i was merely saying that we should do something for ubuntu support and by "we" i meant every one of us who can contribute with this and this is only a thread to gather ideas not to request any thing
Useless. Ubuntu hasn't full functionality at the time. You even can't connect WiFi. Wait till its released.

Hey, Asalam, Yasir.
Nice to meet you here. You've wrong something that you wrote on petition. Please check back now
Why did you say that a Mini "i" have a fully open sourced? You have said wrote as you do it, check it below:
-And galaxy mini s5570i Already Got Stable Jeally bean and kitkat stable as they qualcom based(fully open sourced)
So that's they will be confused if they see what you have do it. You misunderstood right here. Edit it? Ohh ok.
So they will understand and realized to know about our problems. Broadcom will take time so long to do this all. Maybe this will be release by next year or something that will release before new year on November and December.
Well good luck on that, I dont think Broadcom will release Audio source which is related to ALSA and SAMSUNG just like the camera. Broadcom is making the CPU and GPU with wifi and BT chipsets.

I have contacted samsung and they are going in negative way so we are trying to prove to them that many people wait their support find my post
Herein posts by outhers and u can support us
Guys, i think you are just wasting your time in these petitions. Nor samsung, nor broadcom will ever support us. Let's be realistic! Those drivers you are requesting, i think will be available on broadcom's 3rd anniversary. As you've seen they shared a part of they source on their anniversary day. Maybe next year there will be more sources.
I appreciate @bieltv.3 and his team members for their incredible work done of lots of hours. I think they are doing their maximum so we better just sit there and wait for some news from them and not from broadcom as they are the only hope we have. Not broadcom or samsung. But BroadcomCM.
Try to convince yourselves that BroadcomCM is the only hope we have. Then you will get rid of these petitions once for all.
Regards,
Teddy
Yes
I Quiet all of that iam bored
Hello everyone,
I've been pondering over some project to divert my time on and well recently I've begun to notice the somewhat unorganized mess XDA has become. So I thought of the fabulous idea of creating a new website made strictly for ROMs, Kernels, Rooting, & Unlocking Bootloaders. The website would have separate sections for each device, then differing versions of the device, then for android version, and then finally for type of development. For example AT&T Galaxy S3 CM12 rom would be found under Galaxy S3>AT&T>Lollipop>Roms>Cyanogenmod 12.
Get it? Super organized, super easy to find things.
What do you guys think? Is this something worth investing my time in? Or should I just give u on this little project? Be brutally honest please. After all there is no point on building a website that nobody will ever use.
More steps but easier finds. Nice.
Sounds good, especially if you can get support from xda.
CyanogenMod 11 listed under jellybean ROMs?
Your biggest issue is people dont really leave xda. Developer wise most are keen to stay here because support and friends are here i imagine. Also logistically trying to support even half the phones xda does and have it so organised into just what the phones are compatible with, along with paired Q&A + general threads would be immensely time consuming and would require more than a few people to keep up with the flow. Not even considering user mistakes with roms added in the wrong forum. While it would be a good idea i wouldnt attempt it. The mods are always willing to listen to new ideas to help keep the forums tidy though. Maybe try help out closer to home?

Just got my Note 2. Heard rumour you could do more with the phone. Being Linux, I'm like bump anything but Android now. I'm researching to solve / debunk and I see XDA. I hop in..read a bit. I jump back like Harry and Lloyd when they found out and said NOOOOO.
It worked.
So Imma Nerd. I get handed all kinds of phones. I research...XDA. Worked again.
Ok. I'm Retired Sr. Technical Analyst. Seeing the website now and how XDA has grown made join.
My goal is to make a Magazine App with Media on Android Studio 2.2.3. I'm hoping someone in here can point me in the right direction.
Peace.

Hi,
A good start to gaining your post count could include participating in help discussions in your device's Q&A thread. You don't necessarily have to provide solutions, as long as it gives some form of helpful information, you are good to go.
Once you've gained enough posts, you will be able to post links as long as it follows the XDA guidelines for trustworthy links.
I hope this helped
Saber
