Hi all,
I bought T-mobile Mda III ph20b, but there is one problem: OS is german (2003se) I preffer english. So I went to this forum, readed chef tony´s guide and:
1. Installed Active sync 4.5 on pc with windows xp sp3
2. Removed sim
3. Putted BA in Bootloader mode, appears serial 2.05
4. Connected craddle with Ba to pc, USB appears
5. Killed wcesomm.exe (there was no wcsemgr.exe)
6. Launched Ma_Upgrade, after start screen he did not show rom version of my ba
Any suggestions?
Ave you put the rom files in the same dir of MA_Upgrade ?
Yes. I follow instructions exactly as they are. Installation folder keep files:
EnterBl.exe
GetDeviceData.exe
MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
ms_.nbf
radio_.nbf
nk.nbf
RUU.conf
RUU.dll
Also I found log file in C:\
[msg] : Config Info : [000000],[0],[0].
[err] : Image Radio Checksum Error.
msg] : Update Image. CE : [0], MSystem : [0], Radio : [0]
Tryed without radio rom file:
[msg] : Config Info : [000000],[0],[0].
[msg] : RadioFile Not Exist !
[err] : Image MSystem Checksum Error.
[msg] : Update Image. CE : [0], MSystem : [0], Radio : [0]
Any suggestions? :/
Guys, I have just tried D-two's RUU and and 6.1 win mobile and it worked!

YES, I READ EVERYTHING ON WIKI
Unfortunately the wiki dev is now outdated; I successfully applied the official ROM update from siemens, and have tried just about every freaking variation in order to apply the 1.06.02 radio upgrade, but to no avail. Can someone who has done this please please please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Got radio 1.06.02 to install on SX66 with this file
I was trying to upgrade the radio stack and had a heel of a time doing it. But I finally got it working. This is where I started:
I have siemens sx66 Cingular
It was:
Rom: 1.20.10
Date: 10/08/04
Radio 1.02.10
Protocol 1337.35
ExtRom 1.20.115
I installed the latest patch from siemens and then it was:
Rom: 1.33.10 WWE
Date: 1/21/05
Radio 1.02.10
Protocol 1337.35
ExtRom 1.33.110
It turns out you need to use the BaUpgradeUt.exe file from the source upgrade, the sx66 wont work with other radio stacks. It just gives you checksum errors. I got it working, and I'm attaching a radio stack update rar file. To install the radio stack on a sx66 with v1.33 just run the BaUpgradeUt.exe program in this rar file and follow direction on the screen.
This is what I tried before I got it working:
I am trying to install the radio rom and I'm getting errors. On the BA_FRA_BelDT_12202_558_10602_Ship version of 1.06.02 radio stack I get a checksum error. The operator and checksum fields are both blank when I run fix.bat. Here is the output of them. I added -v to get more info.

I thought the password looks like a date, so I changed the password the the create date of the file, that didn't work. I then decided to try a different radio rom. I grabbed the radio rom out of:
BA_WWE_BP_12200_169_10602_SHIP and tried it with that one. On that one I get a wrong password.
I tried searching for sx66 radio password on the search enging found nothing.
I tried BA_ITA_DT_12204_168_10602_ship radio stack same problem.
I'm beginning to think the checksum creation is different.
That's when I decided to use the source's version of BaUpgradeUt.exe . It complained because the HTCRUU.conf and HTCRUU.dll weren't there, I coppied those from the source as well, and VOILA!!! it worked like a charm!
HAPPY UPGRADING SX66ERS!!!!!!!

Can you tell me where you are getting this file and where this .rar file is?
During the updating of WM5 the Model ID Error is visualized and with GetDevice Data there are strange and illegible characters. How can I resolve the problem?
Thanks
this is my DeviceData.txt:
Code:
ò„ó Ÿï€zj_Ÿ
ÿ@ð@ÿ¯÷@ÿ ?û ô ¿øü`ßEò„û"?ÿüû0ß W W E AT%CID? 5 . 0 3 . 0 2 5.03.02 1.12.00 % 4
1. download attachment, unrar it
2. copy the rom file nk.nbf to that unrar folder
3. run setoperator.bat
4. run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe (sometimes it help to take out SD card)

thanks
I have followed your suggestion and has been all right everything

I have iMate PDA2k. I forgot what operator ID it had before. Can anyone help....
Is it
CDL__001 or
CDL___001 or
other?????????
Hi all. This is my first post here and I'm sure i need your help.
I write from Poland - I work as a clerk in one of warsaw hotels. Few months ago we had few groups coming
(mostly from US), and someone left a HTC Breeze in hotel lobby. Few months passed, nobody asked for it... and I recieved it as a finder.
I have only main unit - no battery charger, memory card, headphones etc. I can charge it trough miniDisc USB cable, and ActveSync works trough it perfectly.
Problem begins when I try to update ROM on this device.
Menu Start / Settings / About shows this:
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14928.2.2.0)
Radio Version 0
RIL Version 2.002
Operator/Manufacturer/Microsoft/Language/File System: 5.1.195.14928
Menu Start / Settings / System Information shows this:
ROM version: 0.94.00 ENG
Model No.: BREE100
Protocol version: 32.23.50W
Radio version: 0.92.00.00
ActiveSync connects without any problems. In Menu Start i have DEBUG folder and inside Regeditor, so application unlock is possible and very easy. I downloaded 2 ROM updates:
-1- dopod 1.15.707.3 WWE
-2- i-mate SP JAS 1.15.301.0
When i try to flash device with any of them it finds my device, restart it in 3-color screen. After that i see information on host PC that operation will take around 25 minutes, screen on smartphone changes to "0% Upgrade Image Completed" and host PC show "262 Update Error"... thats all i can get.
After that i can restart smartphone (battery out) and it will restart in 3-color mode. Now I can either:
-1- run RUU once again and it makes same progress and stops again with "262 Update Error"
-2- or disable ActiveSync, run mtty.exe and type first USB command, then "set 14 0" and device will restart back to windows mobile like it was before running RUU.
Thats what i found in ruu.log on c:\ partition:

First i think this is US preproduction unit - it was in our Lost and Found office few months, and Mteor is shipped to europe right now so i believe it have to be this version.
Second - I was trying to update CID on it with SPV-services, but it gives me error "Invalid Storage Manager header" and thats all i can get.

Hi
My xda2i displays no gsm on boot.... I have tried:-
Updating the roms (various - all give 114 error)
The only way i can update (get the pda operational) is to run the update without the radio ROM.
Ive updated by starting the boot loader (and without)
could it be that the device is locked ? or a hardware fault (& how can i check) or has one of you genius types out there have a fix ?
Had a good look around - and it seems that a few people have had the same issue but no definitive fix.... Any Ideas ????
Please help me the nk.nbf and ms.nbf files are upgrading but radio stack upgrade stucks
Please help me
