Try clearing dalvik-cache in Recovery. If it doesn't help, wipe data/factory reset using Recovery.

1. remove the battery, sim card and sdcard from the phone
2. press the vol-buton and put your usb cable into the pc
On the screen must see Download mode.
3. Open the KDZ Upgrader (first start windows enabler and do not forget to start both programs as Administrator if you are using Windows 7)
4. Maximize KDZ Upgrader on the whole screen
5. In left menu choose 3GQCT
6. In right menu CS_Emergency
7. If everything with drivers is ok - Start flashing your phone. After the process complete see on the screen sign to put the battery in the phone.
I hope that this is your question about
Sorry for my bad english!

Wrong forum.
Supposed to be in general to keep this forum clean.

I've put myself in a bit of a hassle. I think I accidentally flashed the wrong ROM through Odin into my i9000 when being very stressed out, since I couldn't be reached while at work because of a boot loop.
Luckily I got saved by the fact that the OS still boots, thus allowing me to enter recovery or download mode using ADB.
But, I can't enter recovery or download mode using the three button combo anymore, seeing as my current ROM is performing too bad I'm now afraid to flash a new one. If I get stuck in a boot loop now I wouldn't know at all what to do.
TL;DR: What can I flash into my phone using Odin to make the three-button-combo functional again?
EDIT: Would "[ODIN] DarkyROM 10.2 Resurrection GT-I9000" work for me?
Cheers

My phone is already rooted and temporarily using CM9, but will flashing these files provide me with the correct firmware? And by firmware I mean which ever software is on a level low enough to handle key presses before boot.
Thanks
EDIT: From what I've read, it appears as the reason I can't enter download mode probably is because I don't have a primary bootloader. I'll try to flash the version with bootloader included.

I ran into another issue. I can't reboot to Download mode because I can't connect via ADB. I have USB debugging checked but it still won't show up in ADB. "su, reboot download" in Terminal Emulator doesn't do anything either. I have no clue what to try next.

I managed to start the download mode by pressing both volume buttons, and while having done so for about 1s I connected the USB. This brought up a message telling me to press VolUp to get to download mode and VolDown to reboot again. I was stumped by this seeing as nothing happened as I pressed VolUp, I then decided to press VolDown which got me to Download Mode.
I'll try to install XXJVK now. Cheers!
TL;DR: VolUp+VolDown -> Insert USB after about 1s -> Press VolDown even though it tells you to press VolUp

odin and download mode problems
hi there
i'm not just a Noob, i'm also very far from being a pro', so all the professional terms mean nothing to me. this is why the forum is very confusing for me...
I got my galaxy S Hebrew OS on it, wich turned out to be a troublemaker. i'ts a phone I bought in china, so it sill has strange chinees notifications no one can understand... and no facebook access, and I can't download skype (it says "skype is not available in your country", even when I had an israeli sim and israeli wifi).
I want to upgrade to Gingerbread (2.3.4), assuming it will erase any sign of the hebrew os, plus improve my phone generally.
I have a guide, odin3 and all the necessary files. when the phone is on download mode, the odin won't recognize the connection. I don't have kies, and when the phone in on ordinary mode there are no connection problems (i'm on "mass storage" in the usb options). I tried it with an israeli sim in, a chinees sim in, and without any sim at all. nothing works. everytime the computer reacts with sound and everything (this sad sound of "i know there's something there and can't connect it"). it's a new laptop with windows 7. I don't have another computer, but I can go to a friend's house if there's a chance win xp would work... should I? are there any other known solutions for this problem?
in addition- do you know (or does anybody know) how can I fix the chinees problems (blocks?) with facebook, skype etc.?
*** i'd be glad to receive answers by mail instead of filling the forum with my stupid questions
thank you anyway

Android is an os, gingerbread is a version of the android os and jvk is a rom, if that makes sense, like I am using Android (os) Version 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich and my rom is dark Knight 5.5
So what u are flashing is a rom

Now connect your phone to computer using Samsung Usb cable.
A button in the left upper corner turns it to yellow. It means your device is connected and recognized by Odin.
Now select the downloaded file under PDA tab.
Don't change any settings.
Start Flash. When the process is completed your phone will restart.
When Started you can remove the cable.

Make sure that the custom rom you have use a kernel where the MMC_CAP_ERASE command is blocked. And if it wasnt blocked and you had done a factory reset or a wipe in the recovery then you might end up stuck in the odin when downgrading back to GB.
If its blocked then you can go ahead with the steps by sahil above.

You have to wipe data in case you face so issues. But as I was not aware of the process that ODIN flashed it successfully i can't advise you to wipe as ICS kernels are unsafe and can brick your device. Way to Go!!!

It was already on the GB kernel. I was at the setup screen when the problems happened. Sorry, I forgot to add that. I knew that you can't wipe data on an ICS kernel, when I flashed ROMs I would always flash abyss kernel and then wipe data, cache and dalvik cache, I just didn't know that it was this easy to go back to stock and unroot. Thank you so much for your help.
Wouldn't hold my breath for a stock ICS XSA (Australian) ROM, though.
ICS ROMs have been out for many regions since May, however still no sign of an Aussie one - I've been waiting as well.....

unbrick/Revert back to stock rom no matter what painlessly!!

Download the files before reading if ur interested
Found out many strainous guides on this section and really its a big pain to the neck reading everything here.Buff!!Anyway this is a stock froyo rom based on the originally shipped rom with root an a super easy installation. To do this u need nvidia drivers for mobile devices on ur pc.
-If ur on ics/jellybean download this first then continue
-Get the nvidia drivers from here.Unrar them to any folder.
-Now put off ur device.
-Take off the battery.
-Hold the vol up and down keys together.Keep holding and after about 3-4 secs connect to ur pc.
-Ur pc should detect the device but wont be able to install the drivers.U have to do that manually in device manager and i believe if ur n the xda u can do so except u want.(Come on its easy to manually install drivers on windows.Open device manager, see flagged driver with yellow sign, right click and choose update blahblah....)
-After installing unplug the phone, remove the battery, put it back and reboot ur device.
-After it boots up put it off and repeat steps 1-5.If the pc detects ur device the get this unzip and open FlashFirmware.bat an leave it do its thing.{For ics/jellybean users first run the flash.bat in downloaded file(which u should have extracted) and repeat steps 1-5 for the 3rd time and now do the flashfirmware.bat part}
Once u see the LG logo (and only then)on ur device then its ok.
When U boot there are 3 languages chinese, korean and english.
downloads, 1 & 2
Everything here is stock!!!
Hit thanks below if u benefited from this.

[SOLVED][ERROR] Device stuck on boot! Error: Boot Image Signature

Guys,
I'm relatively new to flashing recovery and ROMs..
So, sorry if this is a noob question..
I really need urgent help!
I am on V20a (ESA-XXX) and have successfully rooted my phone.
I tried installing CWM using this method..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180138
I used the unsecure boot provided by gordon0001
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39918805&highlight=unsecure#post39918805
After i restarted my phone, it got stuck at boot!!
Its gives the following error and turns of in 5 seconds..
[LG-Security] Error: Boot Image Signature!
The phone doesn't start and does not go into recovery either..
The phone is not even recognised by my PC.. keeps restarting (to error screen) if i connect to pc..
Please, someone help me.. I'm really scared.. I don't want to lose my phone.. :crying:
I read a similar prob, but no solution found..

PLEASE HELP!!
SOLUTION:
Reflash .kdz via Software Upgrade Mode (hold Power button and Volume - )
Dude, reflashing your phone should work. As long as SW mode is still accessible, your phone isn't dead yet. Follow the instructions on this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35971349 Be freaking sure all necessary drivers are properly installed.
Or you can put your phone in recovery mode (power + vol +) and reinstall the stock rom using recovery LG tools providing your Internet connection is fast and stable
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk 2
hey dude, i have flashed 7 times exactly since this morning only. and i have gotten that error 3 times of those 7. so it should not be a problem
Thanks!
After a few attempts, was able to go to the s/w upgrade mode.. (power + vol(-) )
Reflashed .kdz and it's all good.. (had to root again)
Actually, i was freaked out more coz it's my new phone and i didn't find others with the problem..
I hope that this thread would help if anyone faces a similar problem in the future..

Guys,
I'm relatively new to flashing recovery and ROMs..
So, sorry if this is a noob question..

:crying:

You needed to unlock bootloader first, either "adb reboot oem-unlock" or download terminal emulator, root the phone and type:
su
echo 40000000c8 > /sys/firmware/fuse/odm_reserved
Sent from my rooted P880
I solved the problem flashing back to stock rom.
From this page http://lg-phone-firmware.com/ you may download your original stock rom.
WARNING: IF YOU FLASHED YOUR PHONE WITH A CUSTOM ROM, NEVER TRY TO FLASH BACK TO AN ORIGINAL STOCK ROM.

And once again:
flashing stock is not at all dangerous. it will not brick your device or something else.
Sometimes you even have to re-stock your phone.
Stock is safe!

you installed cwm without unlocking bootloader. re-flash 20a/20b (jellybean 4.1.2) kdz, then unlock your bootloader, then install any custom recovery you want/need
Have i go bak to JB anytime?

Bootloader unlocking is only available if you're on JB. If your boot image is faulty you need to revert back to official JB.

German here too
So if I understood you right, you tried to install CWM without unlocking your boot loader? So now you got a boot image error? I'd suggest to try LG Mobile Support Tool and flash V20A/V20B and then unlock Boot loader. Even if you're on "official JB" as of now, installing CWM without unlocked bootloader screwed your boot image and there's no way to do anything without flashing back a kdz.

LG Mobil Support Tool doesn't work

I have tried to do the Update to the Firmware by LG Mobile Support Tool but there is a Error every try. I have tried it about ten times but the Update fails every time. What can I do now? :/
There is no Error Code or something.

Or should i falsh the Original Recovery with the All-in-One toolkit?

Could be due to wrong drivers. Reinstall them and try again.

The problem is that I can not connect the phone so I cannot flash the KDZ, do you have a good tutorial how I can flash it?
Have you already got CWM installed on your phone? If you have you need to do power on and volume up, not volume down so put a ROM on the SD card first, full wipe and flash a new ROM and gapps.. If that doesn't work then you need to try get adb access, and run commands such as adb reboot recovery etc, otherwise you need to reflash the .kdz of stock, if you search you'll find it!

Hey Bionic, do you know a good tutorial how I can get adb acces onto my phone?
@bionicsquirell It is volume DOWN + Power button don't spread misinfos.
@memo357 did you try holding Volume down while plugging into the PC? See if it will light up and show new devices on PC, then start searching here and you'll figure it out. If nothing happens, you're in too deep I'm afraid..

Volume UP still works to boot to recovery, just tried it now, its not misinfo ^.^
If your bootlooping maybe you could use adb to reboot to recovery!
I had this problem. I had to flash the stock boot loader on. Google search should have an lg exe for it. And instructions. I found it pretty easy and once back it should work. You will have to root again and just make sure you unlock your bootloader before applying a custom recover. The exe is called LG mobile support tool, the exe to restore the bootloader.
