I got the same problem here. I backed it up so now i'm starting again. Just one question. What's full wipe ? i mean, its the wipe data/factory reset or wipe cache partition from CWM???

You did not update the BASEBAND to v15 that is the reason you are unable to run it.
You must update the baseband before you install any custom rom.

DON`T TOUCH REPARTITON ONLY AUTOREBOOT AND F.RESET.TIME SHOULD BE CHECKED. You don`have to flash GB first, just flash the ICS rom with Odin 1.85 and reboot. Yoy can also flash the rom with Mobile Odin Pro from you`re phone, then you`ll keep root. If you have a safe kernel, first do a data/factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache, format system, cache and data. Than pull and after 15 seconds reinsert the battery and boot in downloadmode and flasht he rom.
I will try that thank u so much but I heard about people having a super brick while going back to gb using Odin pc

Pc Odin will not brick your phone, only wipes with some kernels that are not safe.
What kernel do you have now?
stock kernal

Thought you were on ICS rooted .
If you`re back on GB then you can wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache, flash the ICS rom with Odin. Only autoreboot and f.reset.time should be checked (not Re-partition !)

Mod Edit - removal of potentially dangerous procedure - do not advise anyone to wipe anything until the issue has been resolved.
It seems you are on stock ROM, here you need is wipe cache and data, but that is dangerous from situation you are having.
Wipe can be dangerous on stock ROM
Simply download and flash this kernel with PC odin for PDA tab
http://hecubus.com/xda/kernel/GL_NOTECORE_v12-5_STD.tar
then from recovery wipe cache, delvic cache and data
Remember this will raise your flash counter, and you have to reset using triangle away. If you are not aware of flashing and other thing, I advise to go to samsung service centre.

Where does he saids he's on stock?
Auto update is als o in other roms.
And if you're phone fails without different recovery or costum rom he would have probably send it to samsung right away.
My steps won't work at all on stock recoveries.
If he w2ants to do it without samsung.
Flash new kernel trough odin first rthen follow my steps
@OP
You dont have option to backup before Booting/Rooting
Simplest step i have mentioned in post#5
1.Flash said kernel with PC Odin (with PDA)
2.If your device reboot, then you will have option to backup
3.If failed to boot aftre flashing kernel, simply enter to recovery and wipe cache, wipe delvic cache
If successfully boots, then still you will have data intact
4.If no booting then go to recovey wipe data
Hope fully everything shud be fine, and just use triangle away to reset counter.

Hi there,
Are you still able to go CWM? if you are still able to, make a Nandroid backup, wipe dalvik cache and cache partition and reboot recovery and system and check if your phone's able to bypass the Samsung log after. Give it a time as well to wait.. perhaps 10 mins or so.
By the way I'm just curious, what did you do to make your phone stuck to it's samsung logo in the first place?
still same prob
Thanks for the quick reply yes im still able to go to cwm 1. wiped dalvik 2. wiped cache partition 3. rebooted recovery and system
still phone's unable to bypass the Samsung logo
i just flashed call recorder zip from cwm after that im facing this problem pls help me

Try installing the main rom you had without doing "wipe data/factory reset", but with dalvik cache and cache wipe.
ok, I am not pro enought to figure out what's happening in zip.
Id recommend factory reset on safe kernel, or reflashing rom, then reflash safe kernel.
Considering I have no clue on zip, a clean install might be called for. On safe kernel and safe kernel recovery a format system/data might be needed to fully clean this stuff out. But I am not sure about that.
Why do you need call recording anyway?
edit: all at own risk ofc

Just flash a stock rom thru odin
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda premium
1: flash a Philz kernel for ur rom and reboot into CWM and do a facotry reset.
OR
2: flash a GB rom from the same thread and reboot into recovery and do a factory reset
ppl will have their backup data in a nandroid backup.. so its very unlikely that someone will post it.. more over a stockrom backup is about 1 GB

Did you do the 3 wipes in recovery ?
If ODIN passed then all is good, it should be booting.
try the above method of going back to GB and then 3x wipes and watch it come alive
Then start the whole procedure again to get back to where you want to be :good:

P970 doesn't have a locked bootloader. All custom ROM can be flashed doesn't matter what official software you phone came with. You have to have your phone rooted with a custom recovery installed though. For instructions check NOOBY's HOW TO it's a sticky.

Yes. P970 doesn't have locked bootloader. You need to remember Wipe data, cache and dalvik after you flash a ROM. To get into recovery again use adb
Why cm7.2 might I ask. Were almost at a stable CM10?

Before you flash. Most ROMs will be fine wiping after install, but some ROMs add stuff to data and wiping will clear it. Doesn't matter how you go into recovery as long as you get there.
CWM is the recovery you can't goto recovery from there your already there.

Before you flash. Most ROMs will be fine wiping after install, but some ROMs add stuff to data and wiping will clear it. Doesn't matter how you go into recovery as long as you get there.
CWM is the recovery you can't goto recovery from there your already there.
