Hey guys I was wondering if any of you know of an app that could increase the volume when your listening to music with your headphones. Seems by default android phones have a lower audio output, I dont understand why. For the record iPhones don't seem to suffer from this.

Not sure about an app but I can tell you try a different set of headphones. I had the same issue than I went and got new headphones and they are quite a bit louder than the generic skull candies I was using by a lot actually.
Equalizer from the Market works well.

I actually have a pair of good buds. The monster "Miles Davis" trumpet headphones to be exact, but even with that it still sounds low in comparison.

Thanks I will try that app.

I'm using the app Volume+ (Sound Boost), and it made it slightly louder than my friend's 3rd Gen iPod Touch running iOS 5. I used these settings:
Speaker Modifications: Enabled
Virtual Room Effect: Enabled
EQ Settings: Flat or Beats Emulation
Volume Level: +11
Bass Enhance: 7
Virtual Room: 6
Speaker Modifications: Disabled

If your rooted you can use "volume+". It has settings for both the speakers & headset.

Well if its for making music louder.. Poweramp a music App actually has a "preamp" in its equalizer to boost the overall sound output. And on top of that I just like it better than androids music player more shuffleing and options.

Anyway to increase the sound volume of the Vivid? It's no where near as loud as my Skyrocket...

Yes. Place your ear closer to the speaker. Works for me.

Might try an app called Volume+ on Android market for possible.system wide.volume boost (all but earpiece and incall). Volume+ might or might not work. And for incall, click settings / call and enable hearing aids if your running a variation on the stock rom. That really gives a boost to incall volume. That's all I know. I'm running WC's 3.6 ICS rom and don't have any problems, however it has the Sony extraloud baked into it. Hope that helps!
At first, there was bunch of people, who complained about the sound quality of the N4. I find the equalizer on Google Play Music to be extremely useful. Play around with it and you can get awesome sound quality. These are my settings, what's yours?
Allot depends on what is outputting the music and what the user's taste is. Me, my headphones have their own bass adjustment as well built in eq settings... So I run it flat mostly.

I have a slight crackling sound and occasional pop when I use the phone. Nothing when playing music or videos. Just when there is supposed to be no noise.

I just received the A200 and BoomSound is not allowed. Does anybody no why? It just doesn't make any sense to block it.
Is there any rom that allows BoomSound to always be active no matter what?

Boom Sound is a feature of the M8's internal headphone amp.
If you are not using a wired headphone you can not use the amp.
Boom Sound is more than just an EQ setting.
