Anyway to increase the sound volume of the Vivid? It's no where near as loud as my Skyrocket...

Yes. Place your ear closer to the speaker. Works for me.

Might try an app called Volume+ on Android market for possible.system wide.volume boost (all but earpiece and incall). Volume+ might or might not work. And for incall, click settings / call and enable hearing aids if your running a variation on the stock rom. That really gives a boost to incall volume. That's all I know. I'm running WC's 3.6 ICS rom and don't have any problems, however it has the Sony extraloud baked into it. Hope that helps!

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you know of an app that could increase the volume when your listening to music with your headphones. Seems by default android phones have a lower audio output, I dont understand why. For the record iPhones don't seem to suffer from this.

Not sure about an app but I can tell you try a different set of headphones. I had the same issue than I went and got new headphones and they are quite a bit louder than the generic skull candies I was using by a lot actually.
Equalizer from the Market works well.

I actually have a pair of good buds. The monster "Miles Davis" trumpet headphones to be exact, but even with that it still sounds low in comparison.

Thanks I will try that app.

You can try poweramp to listen to your music

Volume +
It's amazing.

I'm using the app Volume+ (Sound Boost), and it made it slightly louder than my friend's 3rd Gen iPod Touch running iOS 5. I used these settings:
Speaker Modifications: Enabled
Virtual Room Effect: Enabled
EQ Settings: Flat or Beats Emulation
Volume Level: +11
Bass Enhance: 7
Virtual Room: 6
Speaker Modifications: Disabled
By far as i know that my phone's speaker is not loud. Is there a way to increase the volume above its peak?

Use poweramp and select "loud (phone speaker) " from equalizer presets. Also try searching the forums before asking questions as I've seen this answered about 20 times.
I think i try Psyloid's method.

You should try with poweramp as insturcted above. It'll definitely give you improved performance.

The speaker on the HTC one is ok but it could be a bit louder, also I thought some devs would have developed some type of sound mod by now.

Try viper4android. I love it. Like for it in the android software and game development forum.

PureXAudio for HTC One
I suggest version 3 (link in post #420) as many other have suggested in the thread.....and with beats off for a boost in sound and quality.

I've tried that mod and I think it does absolutely nothing to increase the sound quality IMHO. V4A is the way to go and also edit your build.prop change lpa decode true to false and the mod works with stock HTC player

True, but that is only required for the stock player. No build.prop editing is required if you are just using Google music, spotify, or any other number of 3rd pay music players.

Some developers have included sound mods. Maybe you are only looking at roms. The kernel I'm running has sound mods built in

I know Viper v1.1.0 comes with Beats Audio but I was wondering if there is a link to a version of CyangenMod that has Beats Audio included or just Beats Audio zip you could flash or something?
Thanks for any help any one can provide.

You can only use a sound mod like Purexaudio but you can suggest it in the themes and apps section. But I feel that the one is already quite loud.
