Hi guys, if anyone has a 7300 3G model running HC 3.2 with the stock kernel, please post the following file from your device:
/proc/config.gz
This will help me confirm the kernel options this model was built with at the factory. It doesn't matter if you run the stock 3.2 or the Overcome 3.2...just make sure it is the stock kernel.
Thanks!
this file right?
i'm running overcome 2.0.0 7300
can't wait for 7300 OC

For who own the SHW-M380S Korean Tab 10.1 3G, I already found out the 3.2 stock rom for it (it takes me longtime) and I would share with you. The link download is below:
HOME_SHW-M380S.EJ10.1756_CL559721_REV00_user_ship.zip
This device actually is able to be upgraded with the CWM p7500 roms and its stock kernel. I'm using Overcome 2.1 rom with only one issue regarding the brightness level cannot adjust. The CWM recovery for this device (thank pershoot) and its stock kernel are attached.
I am not good at hex and linux coding, so I appreciate if any developers could help me (and people own this device) to fix my stock kernel to make it is suitable with CWM roms and able to be overclocked. Thanks alot in advance.
Is there anyone can help me??
300 viewers but no one reply...
Korean Tab 10.1
Having the same model and having problems flashing roms too. Hope we have a solution for this.
why? I mean you can completely turn your device into P7500 model by flashing the given bootloader in pershoot's CWM thread, if u worry about the scrolling screen issue when using CWM recovery, flash the P7500 bootloader will surely fix that, I have an SHW-M380K, the 3g model and did these above, ran ICS nightly smooth like hell, and any other rom with any kennel.
Correct me if im wrong but i think these devices have the same hardware set, just the bootloader make them think they're different.
hi,
i have stock Galaxy s i9000 with 2.3.4 XXJVP.. i want to install Semaphore kernel... hoping it will improve overall performance and give even better performance with games like asphalt 6,,..
all i want to know is that can flash it over my stock with SGS kernel flasher??? or are there any other pre requirements for it???
or is there any better kernel for playing games lag free??
THX
Ny reply??? :-(

You can install this Kernel via Odin easily, and YES it will improve your overall performance
Ps.:Flash Gingerbread 2.3.6 its really good
Remember to disable lagfix.
The best kernels for playing games on gingerbread roms are the Semaphore Bigmem kernels. But if you really want lag-free and super smooth gaming, you should consider using froyo 2.2.1 roms.
Oh, and to answer your question, yes you can flash the kernel using the kernel flasher app, but it's probably safer to use Odin.
Thx fr the replies...
I would want to know which version of semaphore to download..??? Thrre are two versions.. 2.1 & a bm version ...

How do you do this?
you should download the RIGHT kernel, if you have JVP download the kernel for JVP ,not the kernel for JVZ.
for gaming and performance TalonDEV kernel is the best
Semaphore kernels link
Hey can someone give me the link to semaphore jvt 1.9.2 kernel?
TIA

If you dont know, you probably dont have to. My guess is you have never used lagfix or ext4. if you think you might have, go to cwm recovery - shut down phone, hit the 3 button combo (power + home + volume up) until samsung galaxy boot screen appears and leave the buttons immediately. in the recovery mode, go to advanced and see if theres any option for Lagfix or Ext4.
Can i flash latest semaphore JVZ on stock rooted 2.3.4 XXJVP?? It wont brick right?? or i need to have a jbz rom???

No you should not do that. Use a kernal that is meant for your firmaware. If you want to flash semaphore 2.1.1, first upgrade your firware to JVZ using Odin. The are plenty of links to this firware under General.
This could be a silly question
As per the SamMobile.com the JVZ released on November 2011

Hey sorry have been away. Well you should be able to flash a kernel but there arent many out there and i am a little wary of flashing a kernel as they are all in a very experimental stage. Moreover, i find teamhacksung's (pawitp's) build to be more stable and the aries kernel was a whole lot more better. hated glitch the moment i flashed it.
Happy flashing...
Hello!
I'm looking to overclock my Galaxy Note which is currently running the latest CM9 nightly. I tried Tegrak Overclock but I got an error when trying to run load the module. Would I be right in assuming that it requires a custom kernel, rather than the provided CM9 kernel? If so, do any custom CM9 kernels exist yet? (from what I can tell from looking through the Development forum, there doesn't seem to be)
Thanks in advance!~

Yes, your assumption would be right, stock CM9 kernel cannot be o'clocked.

Hi.
I flashed the franco kernel v3.0.15 r5 to my galaxy note international. Now I'm looking for the stock kernel in case I wanna change, but I don't know how to find the exact right stock kernel for my galaxy note.
Its baseband version is N7000DXLP5 , build number IML74K.DXLP9 , ICS 4.0.3 and I bought it from Malaysia.
I would be really thankful if someone could guide me through it.
thanks.
Search in XDA for the stock ICS rom file used to update from GB to ICS, corresponding to your phone. Extract from that file until you found zimage, that is your stock kernel.
CH SGnote using XDA premium

Just use cf root 5.6 its a safe stock kernel with root and CMW.
As above said you can use CF which is almost Stock + CWM
still you want complete stock then put request here if someone update it separately or you can download full ROM from here, extract it two time and get zImage file, and flash it using mobile Odin. (you will lose root)
I have found the stable version....

Android V/ 4.0.4
Baseband V/ I9000UGKG3
Kernel V 3.0.8-g2311908/[email protected] #1
Cyanogenmod V/9-20120819-nightly-captivatemid
I want to put on the Devil3 kernel and CM10. I have downloaded these files
cm-10-20121118-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd.zip
kernel_V10_4_2_15.zip
are these the correct files to use to go to jean bean?
The instruction I found said:
coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash gapps
How can I find out if I have gingerbread bootloaders?
Thanks for any help you give you.

If you're on CM9 then you already have the GB bootloaders.
Also, I'm not so sure about the file names but a nightly version isn't what you would call a stable version, it's for testing purpose. I would suggest getting a daily version of it (if there is of course).
Thank you for your response. I have not been able to find CM10 download link anywhere except for the nightly's on their site. Do you know where I can get a more stable version or another one that will be stable?

I looked over on the CM10 thread and you're right, there's only nightlies atm. Like I said, it's mainly for test purpose, it is most likely fine to run but expect some bugs here and there. If you wish for a stable build, stay on CM9 but if you feel a bit more adventurous and a couple bugs don't scare you then go ahead and flash the build you linked in the OP.
