I currently have a custom rom and i want to flash back to stock
I have created a gold card on 2 different sd cards and loaded the RUU on to them and when i try fastboot a blue bar loads up the top right hand side fully but then i get :
Model ID incorrect!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot.
Now im possive i have followed the steps perfectly in tutorials on how to create the gold card and ive also tried the gold card tool.
my bootloader screen reads as follows:
VIVO PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.13.0000
RADIO-3805.06.03.03_M
eMMC-boot
Am i possibly trying to run the wrong rom from bootloader
this is the one i tried to flash
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.30.405.1_Radio_20.2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M_release_199308_signed
if so could someone point me in the right direction as to which RUU I should be trying to boot
Im living in Ireland so Im looking for a debranded E.U rom
also i should point out my usb wont connect to the computer from the phone so i cant just run the RUU exe. files
so i am loading PGIMG32.zips from the card
Any help would be greatly appreciated i am being driven insane here as I've only recently swapped somebody for this phone and it isnt functioning properly

Ok, so you took the WWE 2.30.405.1 RUU and extracted the ROM.zip and copied it to your SD card and renamed it PG32IMG.zip, right? That should be the correct ROM to flash for a S710E IncS (European), so I'm not sure why you are getting the wrong Model Id, especially since you are S-OFF.
Y cant u use other rom which is related to ur region?
Did you s-off via revolutionary method?
Ye i did exactly as you mentioned tbpklake its baffling me aswell
The phone was s-off when I recieved it with revolution hd flashed on it
If anyone can help is really be delighted all the sensors on the phone aren't working and the usb slot isn't functioning properly can only charge from it my heads wrecked

OK, it is a fully rooted version of the stock ROM you are trying to flash. Why don't you try it.

give me the android-info.txt file of your rom you are flashing.
rewrite the model id of ur rom. make new txt file, rename to android-info.txt, and rewrite it
how?
fastboot usb
cmd : fastboot getvar all
then copy down modelid, cidnum, and mainver
format:
modelid:
cidnum:
mainver:
then paste it into your rom. try and see if it works ( it did for me)
edit: pasting into your rom means, unzip your rom.zip, then repack them into PG32IMG.zip using winrar or whatever

should work. i was going to do the same thing but he didn't respond
aplogies for only resonding now i have only recently got back online ive downloaded RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.08.405.3_Radio_20.480 2.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_227170_signed.exe
and i'm having the exact same error as before which i mentioned in my first post
i can only flash via sd card since my usb is only letting me charge my phone and not connect it to the computer error 43 occurs
i cant fastboot usb because my usb wont connect to my phone wont connect to my computer is there any other way i can get those values you mentioned
S-on your phone first then try flashing again..
And download the gold card helper from market and double check the reverse cid number before you make gold card this time..
Gold card doesn't work once you format your sdcard so you have to make gold card again after formatting..

This method alone won't give s-on.. after doing this you have to extract hboot.img from the Rom you just flashed and push it to device via fastboot command and for that we need USB working if I am not wrong..
Fastboot flash hboot <hboot file name.img>

Hi guys, Once again this guide thread comes from the mixture of everyone suggestions and ideas to make your phone S-ON with shipped ROM for warranty!
Collected the following info from the thread, Not my own idea!
First install the ADB and SDK tools and folders, mainly install the Fastboot!
If u dont have fastboot enabled see this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Fastboot and this http://dottech.org/tipsntricks/21534/how-to-install-adb-and-fastboot-on-your-windows-computer-for-use-with-your-android-phone/
First Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922 and install the shipped ROM which u had before .
Use this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18079795&postcount=1 to install the ROM, But this alone wont get you s-on when you do the process from the above link, Your phone will be Physically S-On but in the bootloader it will still show you s-off!
To change the bootloader to s-on then you need to follow the steps below,
1 . Now download this file from http://alpharev.nl/vivo_downgrade.img
2 . You should enable USB debugging mode, Turn your phone into FastBoot by unchecking the fastboot option in power settings
3 . Now your device will be switched off Remove your battery and insert it again.
4 . Now press (VOL DOWN + POWER Button) You will go into bootloader menu.
5 . When you boot into HBOOT, The first option is FASTBOOT. You select the menu options using the Volume Up/Down key. Once you select FASTBOOT menu, press the Power Button and it will take you to the FASTBOOT menu.
6 . Plug your USB cable in and the screen should change to FASTBOOT USB. Then on your PC, open a CMD window and change to the directory where you have installed the Android SDK tools, such adb.exe, fastboot.exe, etc. In the CMD window you would type the command:
fastboot flash hboot vivo_downgrade.img
7 . Wait for sometime, Then you would type the next command:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
8 . Now this is a tricky step, You should Select and open the ROM package you downloaded (But dont install) go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and at last folder find rom.zip
9 . You need to open the ROM.zip file and extract the file HBOOT.img from it and copy it to the same directory as the vivo_downgrade.img. Then you would type the command
fastboot flash hboot HBOOT.img
10 . Now again, wait for sometime type the next command:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
That's it you are back to s-on with stock !!!
You may check this by booting your device into BOOTLOADER , If it shows S-on, that's all You Performed the steps correctly!
If you are stuck at SECURITY WARNING BOOTLOADER because of missing some steps, Go to this following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18706124&postcount=6
If you have a faulty USB port shake the usb cable it should definitely work at some angel, worked for me!

if u revert back to s-on to update the latest OTA you cannot s-off ur device again because it comes with a newer bootloader.. To know which RUU you should install, then check with fastboot getvar all to know your mainver
Read my full thread and also this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16684717&postcount=38

The error 155 usually means that you are attempting to run a RUU on an unlocked HBOOT. You must relock the unlock boot loader and then you will be able to run the RUU. You may also need to create a goldcard to flash a WWE ROM on a Twaiwan IncS.
Ok how can i flash this goldcard?

There is a process that turns your SD card into a goldcard so that you can flash RUUs from different regions. Once you make a goldcard, you can continue to use it as a normal SD card. Search xda for the procedure.
It's resolved! Thank you!
The thanks button is good for situations like these.

It is really strange that you have a PG3213000 but your CID is BM_0001 but a goldcard should allow you to flash the WWE RUU.
And another stupid question

Yes a goldcard is not specific to the phone it was created on. It is a special signature on the SD card that HTC is able to read.

What procedure did you use to create the goldcard? It appears that the goldcard did not work.
You are trying to flash the 3.08.405.2 RUU, correct?
No, flashed this rom WWE_3.08.405.3, (3.08.405.2).
1. Inserted sdcard to htc derise hd
2. Unmounted from system
3. With GoldCardTool_0.0.5 readed card CID
4. From webpage with cid generated goldcard.img
5. And finaly with button [Load GoldCard.img] finished job
Cheked with DxH Hexeditor goldcard.img and SdCard first 170 lines the same.
another strange detail, nn the other side my phone model writed PG32120 but connsole said PG3213000

OK, that is making more sense now. I was wondering how you had CID of BM_0001 with a PG321300 model. You need to flash this RUU:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0a...5AU_3805.04.03.27_M_release_199657_signed.exe
On a side note, since you created it on a HTC Desire HD, did you use the right MMC value? You need to use MMC1 not MMC0.
Thanks a lot, my error was MMC0 value.
Now i maked right GoldCard.
Tried flash RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_BM_2.28.666.3_Radio_20.2805.30.085AU_3805.04.03.27_M_ elease_199657_signed but after ZIP check, phone didn't done anything.
Second time flashed

One prob, wifi not working. Wifi wasn't worked and with others roms before brick.
Now in my settings showing Wifi mac address Unavailable
Do I missing wifi driver? I was told that wifi micro chip is new. (The man who writed a bootloader said to me)
Hi,
I need to get my phone back to stock for warranty before my USB port completely dies (not it works only at certain angles).
I read few threads regarding getting the phone back to stock but I am missing few infos I am asking for your help on this.
The data that I got and believe that is needed:
mainver: 2.32.1010.1
RADIO: 3822.01.08.14_M
HBOOT: 6.13.1002
and I bough phone in Switzerland and have: HTC_GER version (102)
I believe that following the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1359555 is the way to go.
Which RUU do I use due to my mainver ang HTC_GER?
Will vivo_downgrade.img from mentioned thread work for me; basically should the procedure and links on mentioned thread work for my phone?
Thank you very much!

Yes you have found the correct procedure to follow:
At this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922
I noticed that they have the 2.32.1010.1 RUU that you should use given the current mainver you have.
Thank you but I do have a question regarding the radio.
Will I have a problem flashing mainver RUU since I upgraded the radio or will everything work ok?

The RUU should work
I checked on http://www.filefactory.com/f/e45d6fe3dcf51228/ for ROM for mainver: 2.32.1010.1 nad it is KT_KR (honestly I do not know what it stands for) but I figured out that my phone is suppose to have HTC_GER version (102).
How will that work for warranty - which ROM to use?

Then you will need to use the 3.08.405.3 version because the 2.30.405.1 version is lower than the mainver that your phone is reporting. You only option is to use a RUU with a higher version. You should be able to use 3.08.405.3 for your region.
Now I am stuck at splash screen.
What I did is download RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.08.405.3_Radio_20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_227170_signed.exe
got out the rom.zip file, renamed it to PG32...zip and rebooted my phone to update (go back to stock ROM). Later my intentions were to use the vivodowngrade to get back to S-ON.
After the update I am stuck at HTC logo. What to do?

Just follow this guide.
I managed to somehow get it to the next state:
I installed a rom.zip form (RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_KT_KR_2.32.1010.1_Radio_20.2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16_M_release_199684_signe.exe) since it has the same maiver as I had it by renaming it to PG32IMG.zip and placing it to the SD.
After "flashing" it wrote me that it is a wrong version. The result:
If I turn it off it turns on again by it self (I can't turn it off unless i bull the battery) and it displays (no ROM is started):

It looks like it is S-ON - is this correct? (I might have done something wright )
Can I now try to install a RUU (RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.08.405.3_Radio_20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_227170_signed.exe) ? or do I have to get rom.zip and the procedure on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1359555 ?
Thank you!

Since you are S-OFF, there is a work around, but it is not very noob friendly.
You should look at ARHD v3.0 since it is pretty close to the stock ROM.

If you have a SD card reader, then you can flash BlackRose 2.02.0002 via the PG32IMG.zip method. And then you should be able to copy the ROM to the sd card and install it from recovery mode.

What's in your "install.zip"?
If you are trying to install the BlackRose bootloader just use the file I linked to above.
If you are attempting to upgrade to the 4.10.405.1 RUU via SD-Card then you must extract the rom.zip from the RUU then copy it to your SD-Card and install the upgrade via CWM or 4EXT recovery.
If you have stock recovery & your phone has either a WWE CIDnum or SuperCID then rename the rom.zip file to update.zip to install that way.
If you want to install rom.zip via goldcard then rename it to PG32IMG.zip on your gold card & boot away to upgrade!
Good luck.
P.S.
I know it's been said many-a-time but, to extract the actual ROM-File from the Rom Update Utility (RUU) these are the steps!
In Windows:
Run the RUU<-*->.exe file
When it's done extracting the setup files to your Windows drive, it will pause for user input (like accepting agreements & a "NEXT" button)
Don't give it ANY input but, since the setup window insists on being always-on-top, move it to the edge of your screen to get it out of the way.
With "Windows Explorer" (or similar) navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\"current user you're logged in as"\Local Settings\Temp
Now, make sure you're in Folder/File "Details" view with "Date Created" as one of the details (View->Choose Details...etc.)
Click "Date Created" & scroll down to the 2 most recently created folders (the folders names will be meaningless in this)
Slowly mouse over each of these folders. One will reveal it contains slightly more data than the other (for example 356MB vs 348MB)
Open the larger folder which contains another folder which will contain yet another folder!!
In the last folder of this tree scroll down until you find "rom.zip", THIS IS YOUR UPDATE ZIP FILE!!!
COPY "rom.zip" somewhere else (like the Desktop) as it will disappear when you cancel the RUU Installer.
Now simply move the RUU window onto the screen again so you can cancel it.
THAT'S IT - YOU'RE DONE! You have now extracted the rom.zip from the RUU Installer & can put it to work.
If you're wanting to do this in Linux look out for this tool/file OpenRUU-Xtract-beta2.zip
I think it has a binary for *cough*cough*puke* mac in there too.
I am constantly bewildered why Linux(for computer Genii) is psychologically paired up with mac(for rich hex-illiterate morons) simply because they are both non-Windows!!
@n1cnak I'm very interested in the Virgin and Optus Sense 3.0 RUU's that you made mention of in the OP. If you could provide download links it would be very much appreciated.

You need to update your Revolutionary HBOOT 6.13.1002 to the BlackRose 2.02.0002 HBOOT and then your phone should boot correctly.
The BlackRose thread can be found in the Development section.

OK then it sounds like you need to create a PG32IMG.zip file that contains the BlackRose HBOOT image and copy that to your SD card and flash it that way.
The BlackRose installer relies on adb debugging being enabled, but if your phone won't boot, then that is why the installer stalls at "Waiting for Device".
I tried to flash a RUU in order to get back to stock but what ended up happening was that after the installation the phone would continue to boot up on the HTC screen and continue in that manner.
When I go into Hboot mode this is the information that comes up:

I know other people have had this problem and some of the solutions recommended were getting the rom.zip file from the RUU and renaming it to PG32IMG.zip and putting that on the root of the sdcard. I would like to know which RUU would be best for doing this as the one I previously used doesn't work.

Since you are S-OFF with the Revolutionary HBOOT, you can not simply flash a RUU to return to stock because the Revolutionary HBOOT prevents itself from being overwritten.
Also the RUU you are attempting to flash is an old Froyo ROM and if you have run any Gingerbread based ROMs, this RUU would have caused you to radio brick your phone. In fact you may have already radio bricked it and that is why it won't boot past the HTC screen.
You need to search this forum for the correct way to remove the Revolutionary S-OFF and return to stock.
I tried using this method to get rid of S-OFF but whenever I attempt 2c I get this: error: cannot load 'vivo_downgrade.img'
