[REQ][BOOTSCREEN] Dedication to EMS workers

Hello all, I was wondering, if there was anyway our ill developers could possibly make us a boot screen for those of us that work in Emergency Medical Services. Any by that I mean on an Ambulance, not saying that the Firemedics don't deserve a thanks, which they most certainly do, but the unthanked heroes of the ambulance, I hate to sound like I am tooting a horn here but can someone hook a brother up?

If you are refering to a boot animation I am currently looking for some stock images.. thus far kinda light..

How do u do it jaekar... u got ur all extensive list of everything on AC that u keep up to date very well n a super impressive list of boots on here n now ur makin boot animations... very impressive my friend keep up the good work

I am no EMT but Jaekar99 that looks awesome. It amazing how you all can just take any image that someone wants and you turn it into something very cool. I am sure mrmidnight is happy someone stepped up to create exactly what he wanted.

Nothing against firemedics, I love you guys, just where I am the firemedics think they are a god and our ambulance medics get pushed to the side. I work in a city where ambulances are run by privately owned services

Bionic @ Best Buy - $229.99

Just a heads-up to anyone who may have purchased at Best Buy. I was there picking up The Lion King 3D yesterday morning (don't judge me!) and while waiting in line at customer service for them to apply my pre-order to my transaction, I noticed that the Bionic's tag listed $229.99. I immediately went to the girl working Best Buy Mobile and asked her to refund me the difference, which was done with no problem, as Best Buy offers 30 days for mobile hardware returns.
So if you snagged up your Bionic at Best Buy, get back there before your 30 days are up and get yourself some moolah back. My difference was $74.20! Hope this helps someone out.

Nope. She just pulled up my receipt (because I asked her if I had to run home to get it) and they did a return/resale and just refunded me the difference. Piece 'o cake.

I just went up to her and said, "I just noticed that the Bionic is considerably cheaper than when I bought it. Since there's a 30-day return policy on phone hardware, I can be refunded the difference, right?" She immediately confirmed. I can't promise they'll be nice enough to look up your receipt or not make you bring in your packaging and such (if they are, indeed, douches) but per policy, they can't tell you no, so long as it's within 30 days.

Yes, because best buy has a 30 day price match guarantee on just about everything they sell. This applies to their own changes in price and to "local businesses" pricing. So if walmart/radioshack lowered the bionic best buy will match the competitor price if you are in 30 days of your phone purchase.

Thanks for this. I hit day 30 today and still managed to get the refund. Good find.

A formal apology

I created this post as a way to extend a formal apology for my attitude here on XDA. I've been a member for several years without a single issue. In recent months, I've been dealing with a great deal of stress in my personal life, which was affecting my overall attitude and the way I was interacting with family, friends, and with people on XDA.
As a result, I recieved a ban on XDA for approx two weeks. I really love XDA, and spend a great deal of my spare time on here helping others in need. (needless to say, I was going crazy without my daily fix of XDA). My long-term goal was to work my way to becoming a MOD, and am hoping my ban didn't jeopordized my chances, and am willing to do whatever it takes. Either way, I would like to say I'm Sorry for the way I conducted myself here on XDA.
I really enjoy XDA, and the community behind it. Collectively, I consider this place as an extended part of my family, and look forward to many years to come. Thank you for taking the time to read this thread.

Hey my team (Warriors) were the first to sign him, but because they already have Monta Ellis and Steph Curry, he would have been relegated to a backup role. Plus they wanted to clear up cap space in the beginning of the season to try and sign DeAndre Jordan so they had to waive him. It's great that he has found a team and a system that works well for him, but we'll just have to wait and see when Stoudamire and Anthony come back and they want the ball ALL THE TIME, how will he be able to handle that? Hopefully they let Lin flourish because they're winning and beating teams like the Lakers or else they'll start losing games again.

I have to say I'm impressed, but I don't think he'll do this well for too long. Players just have to get over the initial shock of the situation haha.

It's great to see him put up such extraordinary numbers. Not trying to be a skeptic. Just being realistic here. There's no way he keeps this up. His stats are currently inflated by several factors:
No Carmelo Anthony
No Amare Stoudamire
No viable alternative at PG for the Knicks.
Once Stoudamire and Anthony returns to the lineup, Lin will have to give up a majority of his shot attempts. He still might hit for 10 pts (give or take). I'd expect his assists totals to hover at around 8 per game.
It would be really interesting to see what happens when Baron Davis is finally ready to hit the court.

Seriously though. I don't really care about basketball, but the only reason everyone goes crazy about Lin is because he is an Asian playing basketball. Same hype that was with Yao Ming. After a while nobody talks about you anymore. Which is why I like hockey. If you are white or black, if you are a good player we respect you, not because you just started playing ad scored a few points.

Please explain these terms to someone who isn't familiar with basketball terminology. Also that rant was due to me living in NYC, and all of a sudden everybody liking basketball.

I have to admit seeing him play, he is pretty pro. Makes some of the other players look bad.

I love it how the mainland and Taiwan are fighting over his heritage...most probably he'll say he's first and foremost American...and proudly

Everyone will have an s3 by then T-Mobile is already in talk about offering the s3 for 0 down with qualifying credit with its new financing program in last months sales meeting I can buy an refurbish s3 for around 149.00 but I'm sure the price will drop by then. For this phone I'm sure someone will figure it out but if not the s3 will be at an decent price.

First of all, KLP is probably 6 months away at least. There's been numerous sources and *ahem* confirmations (still not 100%, but enough evidence to be believed) that the next Android version to be released at I/O next week will indeed be 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Secondly, as long as camcory, smartguy, Tim, and the other geniuses are still around here, then yes, I do see the Exhibit running the next update. May take a while for various drivers (wifi, bt, gps, and camera come to mind), but I bet they'll be hard at work to get things going. It's the typical ongoing cycle non-Nexus phones always have to deal with. Speaking of which....

klp would be nice but like others i will more than likely have a different phone by then, but will keep this as a back up phone, all n all its been netter than my girls galaxy blaze

There was just a story on VR-Zone (June-12-2013) and they said that Google is optimizing KLP to run better on devices with 512MiB, and it's coming out in October. I'm sure i'll still have this phone by then, so hopefully somebody will be able to get it working.
