what rom your phone wearing rite now?
use SEUS or PCC
and you have to root again and start over
from a-z again
i usig flesh tool , fleshing some full stock rom X8_Shakira_E15i_2.1.1.A.0.6_generic.ftf
, go superoneclick instal and xrecovery too , when i instal rom from xrecover , and tap rebot phone , my phone restarts servial time at bootanimacion ,same problem witch all roms (

U should wait up to 5miniutes..
if nothing good or same problem..
try reinstall whatever_rom.zip the don't forget to full wipe..
if still cannot U have to try this
use another sdcard..
format the sdcard to fat32 (dont quick format)
move the whatever_rom.zip to sdcard..
try install again

hi yal , i think i just bricked my w8 ... i never bricked a phone before so i am not sure ...so it started lat night when i decided to try froyopro pro ...so i use gingerdx and clicked the reboot ...when i see the SE sign i tried to enter xrecovery (knowing my xrecovery has problems i just decided to try my luck) so nothing happened and as usual i hanged at the SE page...so i removed the battery and tried to go cmw , when i saw the SE page i clicked the screen quickly ...oddly thou nothing happen ..so i decided to try installing froyopro next time ...so i remove the battery and reboot the phone...but still i stuck at the same page...starting to panic i keep on removing the battery ...and the sd card and sim but nothing is helping ! imma stuck at the SE page! i think this is called a brick yes? i tried to wait for the battery to drain finish and recharge it hoping it will bbe okay ...but now the SE paage is gone and its only the backlight! help!!
i dunno what really happened ...i just wanted to go to xrecoverery/cwm to install froyopro ..now this happened =(
That's a soft-brick, no need to panic ... your phone still works.
See here about how to recover the device and be sure to follow steps to the letter.

will my link2sd also work? my phone seems to be formatted =( and without a rom i ant enter cmw and imma scared to enter xrecovery

If you followed the instructions I linked above ... did you miss the steps on how to root the phone and about how to inject xRecovery through Flashtool?
Once root and xRecovery is done ... copy the FroyoPro ZIP onto your phone's SD card (USB storage mode will work just fine as it's already running Stock 2.1.1 again), reboot into xRecovery, Flash FroyoPro from your SD card, Full-Wipe, Reboot.
If you get a boot-loop during the boot you forgot to full-wipe.

Why would you want to use Link2SD when Froyo and Gingerbread can move apps to the SD themselves?
Oh, and "without a ROM" can't be ... without a ROM your phone would be a brick.
i used the pc companion way ...and now my phone is back to square 1 without xrecovery / cwm / rom link2sd ...man should had followed your step just now...too rush >.< ...so does this mean i have to reroot rexrecovery and do everything from the starrt?

No ... just get Flashtool ...
Turn on "Unknown Sources" and "USB-Debugging" in your phone's settings, launch Flashtool, connect the phone, and then follow the steps from "rooting" onwards to xRecovery.
Once that's done I already documented how to continue with flashing FroyoPro
flashtool is a downloaded software right? imma go dl it and look for a guide later ...so what your're saying is i don't have to reroot or reanything my phone just use flashtool? i think i will do it tonight since this is not my comp =P

hey, ok so now i dont know how to start but i will just say that i rooted my phone and i get to enter the Xrecovery. after that i tried to install custom rom and it installed well. then i turned of the phone and its just stuck on the white SE word. it gave me vibrate and its just stopped on SE!!!!! i left it for 3 min like that and its still!!!!! i cant get into recovery again and i cant do anything in the phone more than taking out the battery and putting it back again then power it on again and do that over and over ( because it doesnt pass the SE word)
HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

1) flash .ftf files using flashtool!
2) use wotan client !

hello xda i have a x8 and i can flash it with flash tool and i did flash it with stock but it vibrate when i turn it on and the back light of the screen get on then restart ... without any thing on screen !!!
the flash tool detect it .. but it keeps on restarting .. the led is working also green when in flash mood and red as its charging !!
what do u think the problem is and is there any way posted here to solve this ?

well open pc companion and choose update phone, it will bring the phone to its original firm. on 2.1, after that start all over again root, flash...

I try to update my xperia x8 with the pc companiom and gave me error, now the phone will not start, I try to fix it with FlashTool, companiom SEUS and pc and I get the same result with error ... the phone does not start .. the flash mode if it works yet .. is a hardbrick? ..
observations: I did install recovery and root .. but I could never change the baseband to 015 .. flashing aborted or something ..
I have hopes of repairing it? .. excuse my writing .. I'm using google translator .. I'm from Argentina ..

have you tried flashing stock FTF file?
if not try it and check if kernel is booting up or not

Does your phone goes to flash-mode?(((or also it reacts to pressing power button? -like vibration or Sony logo?)))
Take out the battery and replace it ,Press "back" button and plug the USB!
+ reinstall drivers by opening golden gate app(or something like that, I don't remember! ) (from c:/flashtools/drivers )
+ make sure that your battery is working fine
+ upload flash tools log file here

Hello , this morning i want to flash a rom , marvel rom , with aroma instaler , when i do that , the image at the begin wah figed , when 1 hours he load a picture , the boot image i think , and now i cant go in CWM or anything , and I want to use SmartTool or other but i'm not admin on my computer , pleese i need help , thanks to help me
