Which is the best rom {Performance & Free Ram}
Hi there,
For me it has to be Xperience v5.0 deodexed with nAa 11 kernel..
For performance use a class 10 sd card.. Nothing else comes remotely close..
RAM is different, everyone will be different.. Same phones with same rom and kernel wont give the same ram free..
Antutu 2.6 score of 2038 @ 748Mhz.. (Pretty damn good)
ALWAYS start your install with a formatted sd card.. Keep your backups on the computer!
Have fun,
CtrlAltDel
I use a 16GB Class 10 card (overkill if you ask me). CM-based ROMs seem to hold the keys (a balance of most good stuff) and miniCM ROMs kick ass. They don't have the best of eye-candy however.
Try linuxperia or Xperience or GingerJh
with alfs or naA kernal

How to Increase your Internal Memory Size?
I see some Tutorials from Galaxy Mini Section but im wondering if it will work safe here in Y DUOS...
Can you please make or Verify this one.
By The Way.....
this is the Link from what is see the [TUT] [HACK] Increase Internal Memory Size to Whatever You Want!
That hack works similar to A2SD but with a twist
it completely replaces your internal memory partition with the 2nd partition of your sdcard from the kernel level.

a kernel level modification is not mandatory. basicly we only need a kernel with init.d support and a good sdcard. this method is a lil bit outdated, slow, n buggy. now i'm using akuro. if you want to test it i have the guide in my sig

Overclocking increases the frequency of the cpu, it has nothing to do with the ram

I know that.
I just suggested to overclock your phone.
Also you may swap your sd card for better performance.

Ram managers are pointless, instead disable or freeze processes and apps you don't use frequently. Beyond that there's not much you can do really

Stock kernel, right?
At the first step remove your task killer! Cause its also a task!
Android can natively stop background tasks to runa task which has more priority!
Remember : our device has 185 MB of ram, 60-70 MB is used by kernel & 20-30 MB is taken by your ROM which can't be stopped!!!
-so u can't free more than 80-90 MB on stock kernel (100 MB is possible but for a few seconds)
*My advice :
- use swap(unlocked BL & use custom kernels)
- freeze or remove rom apps like "dsp manager" or "gtalk (these tasks never stop.(if u don't need them)
Good luck

Swap partition

Swap partition is a little faster.
Swap file is less harmful for sdcard life

What's dc2sd? I never heard that!
Anyways ,I prefer Android's native app2sd (move app to fat partition @android_secure folder)
Cause when you create 2nd ext 2 or ext 3 or even ext 4 partition ,Android use it for cache too so your device will slow down when working with it.(internal memory is faster than a class 10 memory card!)(setting ext partition is hard & takes time)
I will never use ext partition!!!!

122 to 748 cpu freq

swapiness 100

Oh s**t!!!
U set swapiness to 100??????????
Reduce it to under 60 percent!!!!
SD card is really slower than RAM memory so if you are not on ics or jb don't use swap (except for gaming times)
Don't use dc2sd,we don't need it (just an advice)
Don't over clock more than 729 (decreases x8's life)
This is my CPU frequency on minicm9:
UnderVolted min19mhz Max600mhz
Use tweaks like seeder lag nullifier or supercharger v06

As I said even a class 10 memory card is slower than RAM
Swapiness 100 mean kernel will use swap
Just like ram memory (ex.70mb ram + 40mb swap is used but 100 mb of ram is free)
Swapiness 0-50 means kernel will use swap when ram memory is full.
Swapiness 0 means kernel will not use swap
I just explained them simple, search android Swapiness on Google for advanced information
