I'm running Saurom KK4 and use the kitchen all the time.
Works fine for me.
You may need to pull the modified files out of the UOT.zip file and manually place them in the correct locations on your phone.
For me the modded files don't always get updated when flashing the UOT.zip file from recovery.
That's probably the problem then, thanks for the input!

[Problem] Unable to change wifi scan interval

Ok, i need to have my wifi on all the time, which in return sucks most of the battery. Culdnt find in stock or any custom rom so I tried to add this line at the end of build.prop "wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180" (without the inverted commas ofcourse) but all i get is a bootloop. The only time it worked for me was in androidscream rom in which this line was already added in build.prop
My question is that can i, at all, add this line manually in build.prop of stock or custom rom? If yes then how exactly? Or does the compiler of custom rom has to add this at time of compiling if he finds it appropriate.
Also is there any other way to increase wifi scanning interval? Or any script which may help me achieve wt i want? Thanx in advance

U can edit it on d fone using root explorer or make an flashable .zip file. Better idea is to open d rom .zip file with 7z & edit d build.prop file. Another option, make nandroid backup & extract system.rfs wit 7z den edit build.prop.

Using Root Explorer & Nandroid Backup option didn't worked for me but change in build.prop in rom.zip file did the trick. Thanx again domnic79 :good:
UPDATE: Also Successfully modified build.prop on stock rom (Unrooted) by flashing custom build.prop zipfile using cwm recovery
It seems there is no
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=
option in this rom build.prop, for some reason my wifi is not finding my SSID onlt when turning off the WiFi and then back on.

[Q] theme chooser to install alloy ui theme for V30b

I've been searching for the theme chooser for hours, and I can't find it any where to install alloy UI theme. I saw that gawbreakz has installed it on his phone, so anybody can plz help me to do this ? Thanks in advance !
That is used in cyanogenmod only. Theme choosers are not available in stock roms. The only way to do that is to decompile the theme apk and put the themed files into the framework res and system ui. This is very tedious and you require to be well known in apktool
Thanks for your information ! I've read a post of UniversalSS say that the toggle of garbreakz )) can be downloaded on google plays. So if anybody can make a flashable zip, I will be very appriciate
I am including it in my next rom, I even modified the brightness toggle so numbers would appear normally: )

Thank you very much !!! But I wonder if your rom can inject cwm ? I think you should borrow No0by's rom for the pureness

how decompile system.ext4.img

How i can decompile system.ext4.img on windows? and how I can recompile?
I dont know for sure, it has something to do with a file called uyaffs if i remember correctly on windows. U can unpack it but if u want to do things about android it is best to use a linux os. It is much easier.

I'm on linux and use this to decompile : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Seems it works on windows + cygwin
Just put img files in the good folder and this tool will create meta-inf and system folders with everything inside
To recompile you may try this method :
- flash the compiled rom with cwm
- make a backup and you'll get an img file
Btw, dsixda's kitchen can deodex the rom too
Hope it'll help
Thanks

you find it?
download an app called ext2explore
That will enable you to view the image and then extract it if you want.

Changing stock Gingerbread (JW4) icons for stock S3 icons

Hi guys, I was wondering if it would be possible to change the icons from stock gingerbread to the icons of the S3, using something like APK tool or root explorer? Is it just a case of finding the PNG's in the stock firmware, deleting them, then pasting the new S3 PNG's in their place?
try searching for this keyname in search box SGS IV- theme V3.zip its theme for GB full with all u wanted, i only got da zip file and i cant upload it.

One way of doing this is to either flash in MesoRom or Saurom and then flash in the SIII mod made for those roms.
Or if you don't want to flash in a new rom, Ninjamorph on the Play Store lets you do the same thing- but bear in mind you need te pngs at the right size and everything beforehand, plus everthing is manual.
