Found my X1 sitting in the back of the drawer last week. Did a quick search and found out there is now a NAND build of android for it in the work already, great stuff!!
Last time I checked (a good while ago), sd card version of froyo was still very buggy and development seems to have put on hold. But now I noticed it is very lively here! Thanks XDA members.
My question is, has anyone ported the Xperia mini launcher (or the nand droid backup) into our X1? I tried searching, but did not see any roms build with said launcher. I think for the size of our screen, a port of a Xperia mini's rom would work wonders!
For Xperia launcher port there was ARCDroid which having Xperia Arc launcher and lots of Xperia Arc stuff in the build.. it was using SD card method to boot android..

The size of screen is ok, but the resolution (480x800=WVGA) will make mini launcher to look a bit choppy (designed for 320x480=HVGA)
Till now, the best choice and the only one is ArcDroid by Jerrytan.
But I suggest jerrytan to make a NAND ROM for us.

One & Only Xperia Z
I saw this back when I had my arc S in 2011 (it was an old version), I didn't really like it that much.
But thanks for the share anyway, I completely forgot about this.

I had the Ambient Time launcher on my X10 with this wallpaper. It worked fine but when the X10 got the 2.3 update I never used this again.

LoL! yeah, the same here!
Really laggy on stock launcher...but I have to admit that almost every Live Wallpaper have lags on the stock launcher, except PAPERLAND...
The problem isn't regarded to the raw power of the phone...but in the far from good stock launcher's optimization...

Stock LWP Cosmic Flow is better and I don't feel like it drain battery too much.
Hi All,
I've been switching roms since I got my Z (bundled with a BE Proximus contract for 1€, yeay) but so far I keep reverting back to the stock ROM.
There are still some issues with most CM based ROMS (eg. audio bug when switching to speakerphone) and I really like the Sony camera app for it's image quality and speedy burst mode.
On the other hand: the DPI size of the UI is terrible, the app icons are soo huge and there's no way to customize how big you want things to appear on this amazing 1920x1080 screen. I tried with the xposed framework to set custom dpi's as seen in the Paranoid rom / PAC rom, but the original launcher can't handle this properly: it sticks to 4 column grid and positions things completely wrong. Also the lockscreen sliders are not scaled as well, the Phone app looks messed up, in short, it looks terrible as soon as you want any of the Sony apps to be using a different dpi. You can adjust other apps like Gmail or the Play store though.
Since Sony released an AOSP project for the Xperia Tablet Z as well, I wonder if it would be possible to use the official firmware for the Xperia Tablet Z on the Xperia Z.
Has anyone any ideas how to investigate this? I'm definitely willing to spend some time on this one, I'd love to see my phone's amazing screen being used as a Tablet Z whilst still using the same camera and other Sony optimizations.
Kind regards,
Erik
Xperia Z has it's own official AOSP project http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297927
Lots if things don't work though due to closed source proprietary drivers and there's not really much Sony can do about that.
Ok, I understand that the AOSP projects are far from finished. So my question should be then: is it possible to install a FTF file for the Xperia Tablet Z on the Xperia Z? So we could have the Xperia Tablet Z features on the Xperia Z?
Kind regards,
Erik
No, if flashtool allows flashing it at best it wouldn't boot, at worst it would brick your XZ. Which features specifically do you want from the XTZ?
anyone can tell me or give me a guide link
Pretty much everything's here.

resolution matters not the hardware. for example i can port roms from xperia neo to one v because same resolution 400x800 but i can't port roms from sony xperia live walkman. although both xperia neo and live walkman have snapdragon s2 processor. And for porting roms require BASE rom first then you can port. porting will have some nor the other issue. you can try porting from nexus 4. but you might have issues like camera, wifi, bluetooth. but sometimes you can be successful too..

oh..thx
Actually resolution doesn't matter in some cases. It all depends on how the ROM and its app handle different resolutions. ROM like CM should support different resolution nicely already. And some Xperia apps like phone app runs fine in both Z (1080p) and ZR (720p). But some system apps are designed to run on a specific resolution only, like most HTC apps, then you must choose those of exact resolution to use.

......I tested the framework mod from XZ..its works properly

I'm very keen to look into this too as I would love to see Paranoid Android on this phone, hope someone is already porting it. I just started reading on how to port so am not sure my success rate. *cross fingers*
better to start with ZL roms
there is some tutorial about this on xda, search
I'm getting tired of the stock lock screen on the SP, so just wondering what are your favorite lock screen apps to use? I've tried widgetlocker before but not my type of thing.
I really loved the lockscreen of Gingerbread and ICS Xperia devices (If anyone knows how to get these lockscreens on Xperia SP please share!)
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

Android 4.2.2 Lockscreen with widgets, like Dash Clock, the best looking and useful widget for 4.2.2 :good:
cm10.1 lockscreen is the best.
I agree, Vanilla Android lockscreen is one of the best after having a Galaxy Nexus for a while, but I've gotten bored of that lol.
