Tmobile has to give you the unlock code. Go to tmobile store, get to unlocked and report back so we can know if LTE works
TMOBILE UNLOCKED and RUNNING ON ATT
I bought the Note 3 - TMOBILE version because I didn't want to deal with a locked Bootloader from ATT. After getting home, I purchased an unlock code online and within 10 minutes my phone was unlocked - I added the ATT APN and 4G LTE came thru just fine - did a SpeedTest.net speed test and had 34MBS down and 8MBS up - I am very happy,
It cost me $24 for the unlock code - I suppose I could have waited until someone figured out a way do it for free - but patience is not one of my better virtues.
I had to sign up for TMOBILE service to get this - but I Plan on cancelling my account later today. And will just keep the phone (which I paid for anyway)
So that's my story - I am happily running the NOTE 3 On ATT - and I don't have to worry about a locked Bootloader. But I did have to jump thru some hoops to make it all come together. I must be crazy.....lol

Thanks! Is there a way to flash the stock OS international and use on t-mobile? Asking because I hate the white dialer and white text messaging theme. Prefer the black and blue of international version.

I wouldn't flash the international version. Not much is known about the compatibility yet. I bet the dialer and the text theme will be ported over just need to give the devs some time. You might be able to grab the dialer.apk from the international version though and install it.
Do you guys think it won't be an optimal experience having a T-Mobile phone running on AT&T? Wasn't sure if AT&T includes anything on their phones to optimize it for their network? Maybe I am over thinking this..

I very much doubt it. But with as much dev support as the Tmobile version is going to have I bet it runs better.

Yes you need root since the dialer is a system app. I would start a thread in the tmobile q&a forum asking for what you want. The dialer and the text app. It is off topic here. Good luck!

Here is the URL where I purchased the SIM Unlock code - (cost $24.95) www.cellunlocker.net
Regarding TMOBILE LOCKED BOOTLOADER _ I read those threads I didn't see anything in them that indicated anyone knew that the TMOBILE Note3 had a locked Bootloader - in fact Chain Fire has already released CF AUTO ROOT for TMO Note 3 - don't think it would work if it had a locked Bootloader - and TWRP and CWM have both updated recoveries for TMO Note 3 - so I think your concerns are unwarranted.
I have not yet rooted my phone, only because I am at work and Plan to do it when I get home tonight. I will report back once I have successfully rooted.

And my phone is not rooted.
Is it possible to have by-pass check for a week?

Havent seen any nonroot tethering working, i know Verizon will let you for $1 a day if you call ahead.
Since the T-Mobile version is basically the same as a Developer Edition phone, can you enable WiFi hotspot on that one without additional fees?

With the Moto X, they seem to know that you're tethering... I as able to do this on my Nexus 4 running < 4.4 but once I upgraded, I wasn't able to anymore...
I haven't found a workaround right now.
My understanding is that there is no work around under 4.4 without root.

Just root and get it. rooting this device was pretty easy. if you do not have the developer edition it will void your warranty though.

what about the moto X and 4.3? Were you able to tether with t-mobile without a tethering plan before the kitkat upgrade? Thanks.
I'm on the $30 T-Mobile plan. Tethering worked before 4.4.
Anyone else experience issues with motorola Id not connecting? I tried to clear the data on some of the moto apps and no luck, it immediately goes to this "unable to connect" as if it didn't even try to.
Same issue here. Are you using it on T-Mobile by any chance or are you on Verizon. Either way its very annoying

I don't imagine it would be either but on T-Mobile and having the same issue
What happens if it dosn't connect? I was thinking of removing it altogether, I'm pretty sure it in no way exists for my benefit.
Krab, the issue is that I want to use connect, it's the only way to use the stock watch faces on my moto 360 and be able to customize the stock ones. Connect also allows you to reply to text messages from your computer on chrome through the extension.
Ok, so it does have a use then, thanks. I think I'm going to freeze it and see what happens if anything, I don't use chrome nor have any wear devices.
Ya its annoying to say the least but I'm going to activate it on Verizon prepaid when the kit gets here for it and do a factory reset to see if that's the issue. I'll go back to T-Mobile after I get a fix for it
I have the og sim from vzw, which you gave me an idea. I wonder if it'll work if I use that and wifi to activate connect then put the tmobile sim back in
Update : no luck, I'm beginning to think it's not the network as why would an app that is universal be network dependent? It uses the same motorola id, which logs in fine on my moto g and connect logs in fine on my moto g too.
That's a bummer. Ya it works fine on my moto x and my wife's moto x and my aunts moto g. Shame it won't connect...
The other thing I don't understand is, connect is used for the moto 360 as well, so it'll work on the G, but the G doesn't support the chrome extension. Which at the least it should work for the turbo...
I troubleshooted with moto care today and they had me register my device on the site and then wait a bit before attempting to reconnect it. I'll report back if it works

Your subject line indicates that yours is an AT&T N6. It is carrier locked to AT&T. You will have to get an unlock code, either directly from AT&T or from a third party. Can only be unlocked if you bought it outright, without subsidy. Do a Google search, there are plenty of articles on how to do this.

Yes. But you'll have to get a SIM card from an already activated phone. You won't be able to just walk into a VZW store. The IMEI number won't show up on their list. Go over in General section, there's a thread that explains how this works.

When from Retail Rooted Note 3 to N6. They had to dummy a phone on my line that required a nano to get the nano then removed the phone but left thet nano activated. I then popped nano in N6 and good to go. Only downside you CAN NOT use data the same time as making a call. Everything else works great. Extended network, 3G...etc

As far as I know, activation on Sprint should be as easy as getting their Sim card and putting it in. Once the device is freed from the AT&T lock of course.
Read this post and the next few after. Sprint may even have this sorted out by now too.

Hi,
From what i've seen it sounds like Verizon no longer locks their LTE phones. So am I correct in believing that if I got a nexus 6 through verizon, I would be able to just plug in a t-mobile SIM and use it without issue?
Would wiping completely and flashing all the stock google images remove any verizon bloat/bootscreen?
THanks

Yeah, I know from my ATT days. However as far as I can tell, I believe Verizon doesn't follow this tactic.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/aboutus/commitment/safety-security/device-unlocking-policy.html
Device Unlocking Policy
Postpay Device Unlocking Policy:
We do not lock most phones or tablets that are activated with our postpay service, either during or after the term of your service contract or Edge installment sales agreement.
We do not lock our 4G LTE devices, and no code is needed to program them for use with another carrier.

Be careful about this assumption. The Droid Turbo boot loader is still locked an there is no root, while the Droid Moto Maxx (International Turbo version is unlocked) . Most verizon phones can go from Carrier to carrier if they are a global phone so from that perspective they are not locked and can be used on other carriers but it doesn't guarantee the boot loader is unlocked and root is available.

I got a Verizon Nexus 6 activated on Sprint yesterday. They just dropped the last digit of the IMEI and it activated with no issue. No SIM lock either. Store was very reluctant to try but 1 guy there had a Nexus himself and wanted to see if it worked.
