Bricked? Exclamation Point Between Phone + Computer

Hey guys,
Did I brick my phone or is there a way to fix this? I'm stuck on a screen with a small exclamation point between a phone and a computer. (It's not the download screen).
Can't get into DL mode with the three button method it seems.

Sorry a little off-the-model topic - Spica. But serious help needed here!
The computer had a blue screen mid-flash (god bless MS) and now the phone is nothing but a small orange icon which has a computer and a mobile connected by a yellow exclamation mark icon.
Is it like properly bricked?
What can I do?
I was reading this thread. Can I use the tools given here on a Spica? - Can I use this on the Spica? If at all, how? I can't even get into download mode!

i believe adb can be used on the galaxy spica. look in spica forums around the internet for instructions, i think it can be fixxed

Easy Solution
If ur mobile is still detected by odin then just flash a working kernel not the stock..u will be back to download mode in couple of seconds.Just flash using pda.Thanks

Hi all,
A question for you smarter people, Can we somehow use the Captivate rom in our machines? I'm thinking we need to mod somethings here and there but is it a good idea?

Have you flashed it yet? Don't it disable your front camera as captivate don't have it? And isn't Captivate a 850mhz/2100mhz 3g phone while we use 900mhz/2100mhz ?

yes i flashed it but theres no Phone Service!!!! I ty with JPK Kernel and tell you if it worked

You might want to try a JPK modem with it too as I have feeling that it would work. Maybe if we extract the PDA file from the archive we can use odin to do it.

i just flash mu euro samsung galaxy s with troyo official for captivate and guesss ??? work very well but dont know how to get into recovery mode

Could you get into recovery mode before the flash? (vol Up + Home + Power when phone is off) ??

no need to have root access
just plug your phone into the PC with debug mode ON (Settings->Applications->Development->USB Debugging) and run the script file (recovery.bat)
phone should restart in recovery mode

Kidding, kidding. Install GPS Test (if you're wifi is working). See how many satellites you can lock-in indoors and outdoors and how long it takes. But if you haven't done it before with the stock roms, not really sure if you would be able to assess comparatively.
What exactly is wrong with your phone, btw? What happens if you try download mode (VolumeDown + Power + home)?

hey sorry for ask that stupidness question i just cant test this right now
the official troyo just kill my battery in 30 minute i have 3 battery and all are empty
1 cant get in download mode
2 no recovery
3 if i plug the usb the phone restart mmmm

[Q] [i9001][RESOLVED]Odin stuck in flashing KQB

So a few hours ago, i tried to flash the value pack (XXKQB) ROM on my Galaxy S Plus,it started normally but sort of freezed on ˝setupconnection˝
The phone was still in download mode,and after about 20 minutes of siting there,restarted the phone since nothing was happening, and it´s safe (for now ).
It should look like this,right?(see attachment)

I have no idea what you are doing . How did you set up Odin? did it detect your phone? Have you closed all Kies applications? You could post a link to the thread you got the download from... (Did you ask the thread where you got the download from?) Why is there only one file? Is it meant to be like that? (I know some roms can be zipped/tarred so you only need one file but is this that sort of file?)
The list can go on and on. Please provide more information... What is the status of your phone now? Can you boot up to your home screen or are you stuck at soft-brick screen? I ask this because i don't understand what safe means. I would consider a soft brick safe because i know what to do when i have one... Re-flash!
So to that image. I am assuming this is how you set up odin BEFORE you connected your phone. I would suggest tick re-partition, this WILL factory reset your phone. A suggestions not always necessary, read the thread. If you are on GB already then i don't think you need to. Also usually you are still required to have a .pit file. (I haven't flashed via odin in a long time, so things may have changed) Check you don't need one.
Finally sometimes when i flash via odin, it get stuck i think at the same point you do. I have to unplug and take battery out. If i boot up i get two symbols with a line of some sort in the middle. In this case i go back to download mode and re-flash and it flashes correctly this time.
Sorry for the long message its just the more information the better and quicker people can help. Hope i helped, if not please provide as much information as possible

I just rebooted it normaly, it isn't bricked or anything like that...

Replace Odin, and install the files as in the screenshot, the debug mode on the phone, turn off your phone, enter in the flashing mode after 3 buttons.

ok then flash a stock Rom with odin get it from sammobile and hope it changes the status and these are the only 2 ways AFAIK

It wouldn't be bricked if he could flash a stock rom. Read the question. If you don't know don't answer.
To answer if you can't use the touch screen I think you're stuffed. I'm not aware if you can start apk manually ie triangle away via adb. Maybe someone more technical can help you.

well the OP mentioned odin and download mode so thought he can get to there it doesn't need touch just buttons to get to download mode and then flash a stock via PC odin
as for bricking there is something called soft bricking

But he can get into download mode. It doesn't sound like he's bricked to me. Bricked would mean you can't even get to download mode. Soft bricked sounds like where he is at and he can most likely ODIN back to stock.
OP is new here, I think he needs to read the stickies.

Yes I can flash all roms for 9305 still.my problem is I can't access main screen to triangle away so I can send for repairs,but strangething is I have bottom left and right touch screen and all buttons.As to adb triagle away havent tryed that if its possible.phone seems to be working behind screen I can receive calls messages box appears.oh welll either software glitch or new digitizer

so ur touchscreen does work but the screen is gone ?? did u drop it ?? same happened with my relative's S2 he dropped it the touch was working but screen was black had to replace the screen but u can use a program called moborobo one of it's features is it can show u the screen on a pc so u can see what ur doing and get that triangle away working

PHEW...Well guys managed to get it triangle d away and official Sammy firmware,BIG THANKYOU for advice about ADB without that never would of happened..Okay here is a brief explanation(remember when my dad used to say that 30 minutes later....)Right first off installed SDK ,next ADB controller 1.2 zip which you can find on xda just type ADB and the guys work is on first page..next Download THE GALAXY PROJECT ROM because USB and ADB are enabled by default,ran zip and the rest was history...warranty back off to repair centreXXx

if u bricked the touchscreen you can still plug an USB-on-the-go cable to the phone and then plug a mouse into the USB-OTG-cable.
then use the mouse instead of touchscreen inputs. For me it worked perfect

Agreed except had no usb mouse so did it way i explained..wich worked fine for me...Thanks hopefully phone should be okay now as returned back from repairs shall test tonight when back from work...again thaks everyone for usefull input especially ABOUT ADB GODSEND THAT PIECE OF SOFTWARE Xx

similar problem occurred to me right now. my I9300, running Glamour S4 rom, rooted, with Philz recovery. Everuthing was okay, but when Inpicked it up a few minutes ago, no screen!, onnly hard buttons work. It still works, receive phone calls, triggers alarms, but no screen. Any way out?

Hi guys, I've been waiting for a custom Rom for this device.
I recently installed C-ROM final ( and all the needed stuff ) onto it, but now, no USB connection to Windows Computer can be done.
The device seems to be no more recognized. So my question is, did I missed something ? Should I install another driver to get things back to normal ?

I would normally ask you to provide a log cat over adb but as you don't have usb you need to do it differently. Install Catlog from the playstore and see if it detects anything when you plug it into your PC.
Which kernel did you choose when you installed CROMi-X?

Ok I have done it. On the log I can see that "mUSBOnline" is always equal to = false...
Is there a way to definitely change these value to get USB available ?
From a kernel pov, I choosed the "modded stock" one!

No idea tbh - try switching usb debugging on in developer settings? See if that triggers it?
