Please help!
I am currently using cm7.1, and I want to change my boot screen. I tried all possible links. I want to change the screen before the bootanimation. I want to see a custom picture instead of the samsung screen or the black screen with the ANDROID written in old font style. Please let me know the steps to change it, either using root explorer or any other easy methods.
that is not boot animation... that is bootloader screen... you cannot change that
you should contact cyanogen and request him to change it and you can use smartboot kernel by squadzone it will change the second wallpaper which appears when booting phone
But I've seen different bootloader in some custom roms other than cyanogenmod 7.1.
I know how to change the bootanimation, I want to know how to change the bootloader, the first wallpaper that appears when the phone is switched on.
There's a file in your root folder named "TASS.rle". Try googling on how to modify it.

Does anyone know how to change the splash screen on the Incredible S?
This might help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=956434
Seems to be a tool for flashing the splash
there is another tool that will help as well, but i cant remember what it is called
Thanks NikonElite, it worked like a charm
Or
Why dont you just use Android Flasher for the PC
Make your BMP image, at the right size for you phone
Then select Splash in Android Flasher
Select image
Flash done
I look for some lock screen and I tried a one from general themes forum.
Maybe the resolution is not ok for my Galaxy i9000 and now I cannot unlock my phone...
I use a Galaxy I9000 with last MIUI Mintberry 1.12.25 with Glitch Kernel
The lockscreen is Reveal V2 (find here)
I already tried:
all way to unlock the screen
pull everythings (lock, call and msg) but the walpaperscreen arrive at middle of screen and stop... then come back!
connect to pc but I cannot see the phone root...
format only system (I don't know why, just tried!) but I had boot loop
(before that I made a nandbackup and come back)
make a factory reset: ok but I lost all data (msg and other...)
My first question is: is there a system to delete the theme and restore to standard?
If not I have an idea:
make a factory reset
copy a MIUI theme flashable in cwm in phone root
make a restore of all in cwm
flash the theme from cwm
The second question is: is there a MIUI Theme flashable in cqm?
Thanks very much for your help!
I post here the solution, maby could be useful for other people!

You can unlock your screen manually pressing volume Up + back at the same time... unless you have a very old version in which this doesnt work, then you need to reinstall the rom wiping data/cache and all that stuff...

This worked for me, press volume up and back button, hold it and it unlocks allowing you to go into the themes and change it - pronto!
Dear all,
After reading countless threads over the last couple of days, I'm lost so looks like I have to post.
My questions is how can I change this:
1) Which is the Splash screen and which is the boot screen? Is the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and the boot screen the one with the animated Samsung logo?
2) Which method is used to replace the Splash screen? Is it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136699&highlight=boot+splash+screen&pp=50 or this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435766&highlight=stock+boot
3) Can be screen with the Samsung logo be replaced? From my research I take it there is no way to edit or create a QMG file except by replacing it with another QMG file. Is this correct?
4) Also to use any bootanimation.zip, I will have to flash a custom kernel that allows the usage of this file. It does not work on the stock kernel. Is this correct?
I'm running Rooted ICS 4.0.3 stock rom, kernel and recovery.
Thanks guys.
Anyone? Or does no one understand what I mean?
Salut

Yes, the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and
the boot screen is the one with the animated Samsung logo.
Use the method from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...h+screen&pp=50
to replace the splash screen.
Yes, the Samsung logo can be replaced by another QMG file.
Yes, you need custom rom to use bootanimation.zip.
Since you have a rooted SGN you can verify for yourself by replacing those files in the system/media folder.

you have to flash a boot animation, it depend of you're ROM
U on any custom rom?
If my post helped, don't mind hitting THANKS
find the appropriate boot animation for your rom and flash it with cwm.
Absolute system tools had a great toil for doing this with about 200 different boot animations to install
