Make your BMP image, at the right size for you phone

I try to make a boot screen from the attachment below and i used a howto.
But that does not succeed. Can sombody help me with this boot screen.
Can somebody make it so that I can boot into recovery
png files and gif files are there as attachments
Thanks for helping my,
mattijsier
ps: i have froyo 2.2(fusion rom6.1.1) and a htc hero
I love the POST-inspired one, looking forward to this being finished. Wish I could help you!
I am at school atm but I can make it for you and then explain how. But you will have to clarify what you mean boot into recovery. If you flash a custom rom you have generally or always installed a recovery menu. This can be accessed by pressing "Home + End Call(boot) button" before the phone starts.
Made it start but for some odd reason it misses the post. Got a lesson now so will try later.

Thanks for Helping me. I do not want to copy into the bootscreen folder(sytem/media/bootscreen) so what you say i want.
nobody else can help me more??
nobody can't help me??
Your new animation have to be almost (but not quite entirely unlike) the same filesize as the old one <- this is important for the system to recognize the splash screen.
Please help!
I am currently using cm7.1, and I want to change my boot screen. I tried all possible links. I want to change the screen before the bootanimation. I want to see a custom picture instead of the samsung screen or the black screen with the ANDROID written in old font style. Please let me know the steps to change it, either using root explorer or any other easy methods.
that is not boot animation... that is bootloader screen... you cannot change that
you should contact cyanogen and request him to change it and you can use smartboot kernel by squadzone it will change the second wallpaper which appears when booting phone
But I've seen different bootloader in some custom roms other than cyanogenmod 7.1.
I know how to change the bootanimation, I want to know how to change the bootloader, the first wallpaper that appears when the phone is switched on.
There's a file in your root folder named "TASS.rle". Try googling on how to modify it.

Dear all,
After reading countless threads over the last couple of days, I'm lost so looks like I have to post.
My questions is how can I change this:
1) Which is the Splash screen and which is the boot screen? Is the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and the boot screen the one with the animated Samsung logo?
2) Which method is used to replace the Splash screen? Is it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136699&highlight=boot+splash+screen&pp=50 or this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435766&highlight=stock+boot
3) Can be screen with the Samsung logo be replaced? From my research I take it there is no way to edit or create a QMG file except by replacing it with another QMG file. Is this correct?
4) Also to use any bootanimation.zip, I will have to flash a custom kernel that allows the usage of this file. It does not work on the stock kernel. Is this correct?
I'm running Rooted ICS 4.0.3 stock rom, kernel and recovery.
Thanks guys.
Anyone? Or does no one understand what I mean?
Salut

Yes, the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and
the boot screen is the one with the animated Samsung logo.
Use the method from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...h+screen&pp=50
to replace the splash screen.
Yes, the Samsung logo can be replaced by another QMG file.
Yes, you need custom rom to use bootanimation.zip.
Since you have a rooted SGN you can verify for yourself by replacing those files in the system/media folder.

you have to flash a boot animation, it depend of you're ROM
U on any custom rom?
If my post helped, don't mind hitting THANKS
find the appropriate boot animation for your rom and flash it with cwm.
Absolute system tools had a great toil for doing this with about 200 different boot animations to install
Hi guy's...
I need you help please.
So I have this phone for a while and sort of got bored with the same look everyday and thought I should change the rom... Was looking for the most compatible one for this phone and I had to do some steps before flashing the new rom. I got to the point where I need it to flash the custom recovery and there I got in trouble.
I was using SP Flash Tool v5.1628... but after the flashing I was thinking let me quick turn the phone on to check something, and I see that the phone won't turn on ... and there I got mad... my fault of course but tried to flash all stock roms for this only model... Starting with: 0PM1100_A32MG_DUG_K44_SENSE53_htc_europe_1.01.401.8_Radio_MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V62_P4_Release
Then:
0PM1100_A32MG_DUG_K44_SENSE53_htc_asia_1.03.707.1_Radio_MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V62_P4_Release
After:
0PM1100_A32MG_DUG_K44_SENSE53_htc_europe_1.06.401.1_Radio_MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V62_P4_Release
And the last:
0PM1100_A32MG_DUG_K44_SENSE53_htc_europe_1.07.401.1_Radio_MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V62_P4_Release_2_4
Nothing happened but all worked till the HTC logo loop with the message at the bottom : Tool DL Image Fail.
The phone is rebooting itself all the time and can't turn it off except if I format the phone with SP Flash Tool.
Can someone please help me I trully need this phone and don't want any custom rom anymore just the stock and a working phone.
Thank's a lot...
