Following are the instructions to change/update/replace a faulty bootloader on the Omnia 7.
1. Download 3 things. Samsung USB Drivers, WP7 Downloader and a Custom ROM for Omnia 7. All of these are available for download from Samfirmware.com or as posted in Casey's guide.
2. Follow all the instructions (you will need a jig at least once) as per Casey_boy, but do not select anything for PDA and CSC in the WP7 Downloader.
3. Plug in your phone while it is in download mode, and then once the WP7 downloader detects the device on the port, just hit start.
4. The whole process takes less than a minute. Once it is finished just check to go into dowbload mode, and this time you wont need a jig as the three button combo (Camera+Vol Up then power) will surely work. The great thing is that your OS will not change and you can retain your ROM as well.
anyone wants USB jig in Pakistan contact me

both Galaxy s and Omnia 7 working with my JIG
thank-you so much , i had bootloader 4.10.1.9 , i folowed your instructions (casy_boy's too ), and now no MORE need for usb jig because i have bootloader 4.11.0.3
I CAN ENTER DOWNLOAD MODE WITH THREE BUTTONS COMINATION
I faced a unique problem today...
1. Got a notification to update Super Su
2. After updating, went to the app and it asked for updating binary...clicked Ok
3. Asked which method to use- Normal or CWM/TWRP...clicked CWM/TWRP
And all hell broke loose...the phone rebooted and kept stuck at Samsung GT-N7000 screen
Tried booting into recovery using the Vol Up+Menu+Power Button but failed to boot into recovery and always booted in the same GT N7000 screen
In short my custom recovery was messed up...
The above may not be a huge problem for people frequenting these forums and having basic google search finesse, but still it took me more than 3 hours to un-brick my phone after trying several combinations and permutations, so to the benefit of other members here's my simple solution:
1. Check if you can get into download mode by using Volume Down+Menu+Power Button
2. If not, your problem might be more serious and you should keep searching for a solution...best of luck!
3. If you can get into download mode, fine ...lets continue...
4. Prepare your PC for flashing a custom recovery via PC Odin:
a. Download PC Odin: I used Odin 3 V 1.85
b. Download a custom recovery: I used Philz 5.03
c. Uninstall Kies and Samsung Drivers from your PC (do it, it worked for me!)
d. Install latest Samsung Drivers afresh
e. Eject and physically remove all USB connected devices from your PC
f. Disable any antivirus software
5. Now get to download mode on your handset- after Volume Down+Menu+Power Button- on the next screen press Vol Up key to enable download mode. Do not connect phone to PC yet.
6. Run Odin as administrator. Let the app window come up on your screen.
7. Connect the original Samsung USB cable to the USB port at the back of your PC- this is to ensure it gets connected to the motherboard USB slot directly- please do this- critically important- at least in my case. For a laptop, I guess any port will do.
8. Connect your phone to the PC using USB cable
9. The ID:COM indicator on the PC ODIN window should turn yellow in a few minutes
10. Do not click on any buttons on ODIN Window- Auto-Reboot and F.Reset Timer should be checked and everything else should be left unchecked.
11. Click on PDA tab on ODIN and browse to the custom recovery tar file, select it- it should now appear under PDA tab.
12. Click on start and let ODIN do its thing...
13. Disconnect the phone after successful reboot.
The above steps helped me recover my soft-bricked phone.
I understand you should follow the steps verbatim to use this method...believe me I have tried several iterations- using front USB port, trying without disconnecting all other devices from USB port, without uninstalling Kies, et al...and failed everytime.
I hope this helps you.

Okay so i did something dumb and I'm wondering if there is a way out. I just got my second Note 5 because I dropped my first one and the screen went black. It was gonna be cheaper and easier to just buy a new device than actually repairing all the damage.
I installed TWRP through Odin. Stupidly, I did a complete wipe, including internal storage, and now I can't get the device to see the USB/OTG. I have a new cable on the way that's going to get here tomorrow. I can't think of what else it could be? Any ideas would be much appreciated. It doesn't have an OS so I'm thinking I may have wasted 250$.
It's not turbo charging either so could It be the charging port that's causing it to not be picking up the OTG?
Does Odin recognize it at least in download mode?
Have you tried mount on as usb in twrp?
press install>select storage then there will be two option
Internal storage and USB storage. Click on USB and the value will change from 0 to the amount of gb your otg have, then you can flash via otg

Step 3 from the other guy's post above you. That's what I was gonna help you with because you wiped the internal storage. Odin will still recognize it but in Download mode and she won't work again unless you flash the stock firmware specifically for your phone from the link above.
Fixed
I reOdined and same problem so I went back and looked at the instructions. I saw that you had to have MM flashed onto the device so I tried that and it worked. I just figured updating the phone would give me enough but it didn't. Thanks for all the help guys!

http://developer.samsung.com/common/download/check.do?actId=698
2. Download odin. https://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.12.3.zip

4. Open odin. select AP then select the firmware you want to flash. wait sometimes.
5. After adding firmware to odin go to option tab and tick "Nand Erase" . then power off your phone. boot to download mode by pressing volume down+home+power button.
