I am using DOCS2GO
Where is my G Nexus?

Ics built-in document viewer does the job for me. I don't think you need any reader for PDF

Agree, I've been able to open all of the PDFs I download using the built in document reader.

anyone can post the apk? thanks

agreed, not sure what apk is handling it, but if you are running ICS, just open a pdf and it should either launch it automatically or let you pick it and set default. Just shows as Document Viewer. its actually quicker than other pdf viewers i've used on gb.

Google Docs

Any word on a Google docs app? Trying to take notes on the browser version was not ideal last night. I don't know why Google hasn't invested more into Google docs on android...
Just wondering if there was any news on development of this app for honeycomb.

You can try GDocs app, it allows you create, edit, view, import, export and send documents as well sync documents with your Google Docs account.
I'd imagine that Google will give us a Docs tablet version, like the gmail app...but when? Who knows.
Until something solid comes, the Docs Mobile website is working for me, but it ain't pretty.

I purchased Documents To Go and PrintShare Pro. Now I can edit, create and share my Google Docs AND Print them from work or home. I just wish there was a way for DTG to put printing as an option. It would have saved me some $$$.
Documents to go works well on xoom? Or should I wait for quick office?

It works great for me too!
DocumentsToGo works great for word docs, but spreadsheets don't work. The spreadsheet will pull up, but as soon as you enter text into a cell it will randomly copy that text to other cells in the spreadsheet. Additionally, if you attempt to open a spreadsheet you'll see that the data from a group of cells is randomly copied to other cells. Spreadsheets in DocumentsToGo on honeycomb are essentially useless.
I paid for Docs to Go, and quite frankly, I hate it. Google Docs (desktop version) is awesome, and strangely works horribly on our browsers. Google really needs to put more of an effort into getting all their services available and ready when they release a "Google Experience Device" of this caliber, especially one people will buy with the intent of being able to do some real mobile office/school work. I am really hoping they have a Gmail-like Google Docs app in the works for their new Honeycomb users...

Can you provide an example spreadsheet? Better yet send one to the d2g developer. I have not dealt with any complicated spreadsheets but sure have not seen anything like what you describe.

there was a fix in the market for docs 2 go today...it said something about spreadsheets...did u get it?

Powerpoint editing

Hey folks I made a powerpoint slide at work and emailed to myself to edit on xoom thinking that documents to go app would be able to but I cannot edit powerpoint or excel docs. Only word docs and yes I have purchased the key to unlock app. Any thoughts?
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
I don't know anything about this app, but it does say that it supports both .ppt and .pptx on the market page, so try to contact the developer about it. If it doesn't work, they must refund you.
Password protected?
Note: Office 2007/2008 password protected documents are not currently supported and cannot be opened with Documents To Go.

No it is not password protected.
I was able to edit a .pptx file from work with no problems other than that it was hard to see where the cursor is. This slide had graphics but no animation. I hope you find a solution soon.

FYI I'm able to edit spreadsheets with no problem on my Xoom. App is capable of completing task, I would start with the format of the file and email you are sending yourself.
I would get quick office HD. Love it so far editing documents. Haven't tried powerpoints yet.

What app can read and edit openoffice.org files

I use openoffice.org on the laptop and would like to use the files on the GT w/o converting them to microsoft office formats. Any one know of a free office app that will read openoffice.org formats?
I use OpenDocument Reader.

Google is your friend. To make it even easier I have included the actual hyperlink used to search.

Thank you I appreciate you all think I'm an idiot that has not done this search. But this only shows "readers" ..I was asking the community about an app that you can EDIT the openoffice.org docs not just read them
Not trying to be offensive... if you already searched for it you should mention that... too many people don't use Google at all
All I can find as well is a reader. You could try Google docs, IIRC it does open office and I think the latest version's pretty good... other than that I think you're out luck...

Try to convert the docs using an app in android and then edit them with something like quick office or kingsoft office
I JUST installed this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.tomtasche.reader
and, yes, they say you can't alter the docs, but maybe that will happen eventually. Anyway, I figured you might just want to know about it

We can finally use our own PDFs and EPUBs within the Google Play Books app

One of my favourite things to come from the IO, since the Play Books reader is the smoothest I've used. Just upload your files here and they'll be pushed to your device.
I just get
"500. That’s an error.
There was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know."
I get straight 404
Try this https://play.google.com/books/uploads
OP's was messed up.

Well that's odd, working fine for me. Awesome to finally get this feature!
Those with 404's, have you updated the app first? Maybe the url only becomes available to your Google account then...

Well something funky must be going on with the tablet version, you could try going to the site on your desktop and upload what you need, then see if it shows up on your 7.
yup, uploads fine on desktop here, yet 404 on n7
Can you try some PDF reading with it ?
Because I plan to buy the N7 but when I tried to read some PDF with others apps in a store this was laggy... :'(

For epub its ok, but its not better than any stand alone reader app. For pdf file, its suck. Adobe reader with local files give you much better experience

I use repligo for pdf reading. By far the best I have used so far. Stupid that they don't support larger than 50mb. I have an epub book that is almost 300. I'm using Aldiko which reads it fine but is really slow. Thought about buying it agan for the kindle app which is much faster but in the end I don't want to waste the money. Was hoping play books would be able to handle it.
Works great for me! Thanks for the share.

Alreader and sync

I am using a truly excellent ebook reader (free on the appstore) called Alreader.
The best of the bunch IMHO.
Just one thing I cannot get to work is the option to sync book position across devices (i have Alreader on my nook touch as well as nookhd).
If anyone can work out how to do it please let us know. The manual is currently in Russian only.

Just a guess that you need to sign-in with the app so that it can sync across devices. If its the companies own account or google account I don't know, but sign-in should be from the app on both devices.
Or in other words the information has to be stored in the cloud somewhere. Device A syncs to the cloud after a change is recorded and device B hears the change so syncs with the cloud to get that change.
