[Q] Extend Battery Life?? - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I want to know if there is a script or something some trick to extend battery life??...i don't want programs or anything else...

1. Stay on 2G. Data activity using 3G/HSDPA drains battery the fastest.
2. Minimum brightness
3. No vibration if possible
4. Use custom kernels with governors such as smartassV2 or lazy or SavagedZen implementing deep sleep.
5. Don't sync too often (Facebook, Twitter, 4square etc.) Keep 'em syncing every 2 hours or so.

thanks man

try set cpu or any application that can pro-long battery, but it can cause your mobile to lag sometimes..

this topic may help you to improve your battery life

Or get an extended battery from my favorite Mugen Power for 1400mAh which has OEM size and adds 17% more capacity.

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904280 or flash this slim rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956127

Max battery saving
Use a light rom like the Cyanogenmod 7 for Galaxy Mini and switch off every transition animation possible. Switch off auto-rotate if not using. Underclock to about 400 Mhz. and set ondemand as the governor. Lower screen brightness. After that, DANCE and shake your butt.

overclock question

i am kinda looking to use an overclock app or widget to obviously overclock my phone, is there an app most people would recommend, or prefer, and how much i should overclock to a safe percentage?
Idk others, but i like to use SetCPU...and i have it set to Max=512 and Min=384.
Overclock widget is free and gets the job done.
If you don't care much for battery life then set both max/min to 528. If not, then go 528/384.
Overclock widget has an option for a different frequency when phone is on sleep/standby. Be careful, if you set it too low, phone might crash, or slow to wake up from calls and messages.
My settings..
528/528 phone on
384/128 sleep/standby
Check auto start on boot, suppress notification, and update interval to 5-10seconds.

SetCPU questions

I decided to get the setCPU app and check it out for the first time. I think I have a good handle on how to set it up and a good basic setup, but I have a few questions.
I am using the newest CyanogenMod ROM, CM 6 RC1
"Userspace" governor, the website lists it as "A method for controlling the CPU speed that isn't currently used by SetCPU" I am assuming this is some custom settings/tweaks included in the kernel by cyanogen/one of the dev's, but I am not sure. I have not enabled it yet until I know more about it, so some info here would be great. (the setCPU website says that all the governor profiles listed as available are based on the individual kernel, that is what made me think that the userspace is custom settings built in for cyanogenMod)
What would be a good "fail safe" temp setting to set up as a profile to prevent over heating in case something odd happens or I am outside on a hot day? I have it set to the default 50*C ATM.
Under advanced there is "powersave bias", defaults at 0%, anyone with a good setting to use for that?
Currently set it to over clock to 1113MHz, and I am looking for a good cross of extra speed/power with minimum battery impact or even some gain. (compared to stock) I have set up a screen off profile as well, with a 422MHz max to help battery life.
I did a search here on XDA and in google and didn't find much on this; I think a good "How To" sticky for setCPU would be great. Maybe give settings based on needs; performance, battery savings, or a good balance. (maybe break down the balanced option into battery biased and performance biased)
Anyone?...

[Q] Battery Life

Ok so I tried all of the following battery life tweaks:
collin_ph Battery Tweak
DecaMOD Battery Tweak
SetCPU
Overclock Widget

collin_ph Battery Tweak didn't seem to work, I guess.
DecaMOD Battery Tweak didn't seem to work either.
SetCPU freezes my phone whenever I overclock it.
Overclock Widget works, but it doesn't seem to be working now.
One night my battery was ay 92%, I had Overclock widget on and had the Screen Off preferences set to as low as possible. I woke up the next morning and it was still at 92%. I thought it was really awesome, but I removed it to try SetCPU, SCPU froze, so then I reverted to OC Widget and it doesn't seem to be working D:
Any tips - tricks for SetCPU or OC Widget?
Collin's and DecaMOD are both "passive" apps, so you wouldn't really notice a difference, depending on use. At least in my experience. Did you enable profiles and set some up when you were using SetCPU?
You aren't using a bat tweak AND set cpu/overclock widget are you? If so, there is your problem. Never have more than one thing controlling your clock speed. One tweak or one app. No more

+1. No no no. Use one only
ah i have colin battery tweak and overclock but i get at least 11 hrs with both of em on. So to stop overclock just kill the app with task killer? or don't grant it superuser?
I just flashed colin battery tweak to see what it had to offer

You can just uninstall one of them. Look for 16 - 24 hrs of battery life. That's about avg. I would say. I get about 16 on fairly heavy use.

SetCPU settings for double battery life

Hey guys can someone share what's the best profile and configuration to double the battery life in our devices using setCPU..
Thanks in Advance!
Sent from my CSL-MI410 using XDA App
Hi there,
I think, it depends on how is your settings now. You can try 500 mhz and disable mobile data first.
hmm.. okay.. will 500Mhz double the life and also give a decent performance??
i'm more concern on the voltage control.
can everyone share their fine profile for voltage?
btw, my setcpu setting were recommended by CacingKalung.
25mhz and 1125mhz with smartassv2.

The following works for me all the time
Main Profile - MAX - Dont set it all the way to OC if you are using any of the modded kernels, keep it just above 1Ghz, i set at 1200.
MIN - around 600. Use SmartassV2, if unavailable use Performance.
Turn on Profiles and set 2 important profile
Screen Off - MAX & MIN - 122Mhz. Priority 90%, Set governer Conservative
In Call - MAX - Around <=500, MIN = Around 300, Priority - 100, Set governer Performance. This is to avoid any lags when call comes in
With this I am able to stretch the battery easily to 1.5 days. I have observed the performance to be uniform whether on CM7 or MIUI.
Additionally I also configure Adv Task Killer Pro - Always on, Kill Task when screen off, and dont forget to set Ignore for - SetCPU.
This combo of SetCPU and Task Killer works for me ! Try and see if it meets your expectations
How are you able to set exact values of 122 MHz or 300/500 MHz?
On stock ROM, SetCPU only allows for a slider to control the frequency which doesn't allow for precision setting since after about 368 MHz the slider only goes to around 700+ MHz skipping all the frequencies possible in between.

Sandy
Im using SET CPU and the ondemand governer gives very good battery life. I keep the min speed to 122 MHZ and Max to 1024 MHZ.
Made three profiles for screen off, temp >40deg and In call. Screen off profile kept to 122MHZ, certainly improved my battery by leaps and bounds.

wake up phone quickly

hello guys I want to know in iphone when you click power button the screen turns on immediately but in Zeus 6.33Bn (also all roms I have tested contains stock rom ) it opens after 2/3 seconds some times if there is a lot of apps are working it take 5-15 seconds to open
any solutions ??
Why not using task killer ?

what??
will it affect ??!!!
He mean: Why dont you close some unnecessary app?
and I don't see a big difference between 2/3s and immediately to wake up the phone ^^

I agree!
But using auto task killer will speed up a bit your phone.
If you want you phone even better, use supercharger script.

To my mind, it changes nothing or nearly nothing i use advanced task killer and im using it seldom, after charging only, or when i want to play some demanding game...
But, sticking to the topic, i would advice changing processor governor, what were you using? Are you using custom lockscreen like go launcher or widget locker?

I'm using zeus and it has the default ginger bread lockscreen and I'm on smartass2
Its quite weird, because smartass2 is rather aggressive governor. However, this long-time waiting (5-15sec) comes from lowering CPU frequency to really low, deep sleep numbers.
If its a real problem for you, you can easily increase lowest CPU freq and see if it changes anything. And second thing which comes to my mind, check in build.prop line "pm.sleep_mode=1". It causes device to get into deep sleep.
But, of course these changes will affect battery life... quite strongly :/
