Hello,
since yesterday I got the V6 Supercharger script on my Ace and the installation ran fine, so I got no errors or something like this. I rebooted and I don´t realy know if the script works now. Because I have just 75-95MB free RAM. Maybe the A2SDGui by Darktremor is messing up with this script! What do you think?
GerasVille
U mean u have dta2sd script & v6 installed on 1 fone?
Sent from Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 using Grif's Cyanogenmod & allinone ram script.
Dont jus say thanks, use d 'THANKS' button. [XDA RULE]
Yes. Why u are asking so especially for it?
Hey @GerasVille...
You have the V6 script installed & all went well yes...?
To find out if the script has stuck, run script manager again & when you get to the menu (where it ask's to you choose an option from 1-17) look above & you should see 2 lines of text that read as follows : "Current minfrees = *,*,**,**,**,**" & below it the line should read "Prior V6 minfrees = *,*,**,**,**,**" (the stars represent numbers, single & double)... Now if both lines of numbers match then the script is running, if they differ then there is a problem. To double check all is well go below & choose No.1 from the options & the manager will run through the script & report if your launcher is "Hard to Kill" or "Bulletproof". If you get the message that your launcher is weak, then you must have your "home launcher locked to memory" (the script does not like this). If this is the case then find the option in your rom setup menu & un-check it, then run the whole script again as you did when you first installed it. when done, Reboot, Re-run script manager via widget on home screen, check again current minfrees against previous minfrees to see if they match & choose option no.1 again to check that your launcher is indeed now "Hard to Kill" or "Bulletproof".
Finally, if the script is indeed working as it should then you should experience a significant increase in scrolling speed/smoothness, faster app execution, smoother gaming & your phone will feel a hell of a lot snappier when you ask it to do something...
If I have Helped you please be kind enough to hit the thanks button as on XDA the Button is "WORD"...hehe
Stay Breezy n Be Lucky Dude...
Peace...
FYI : I have SD Booster (faster SD access/read/write speed), "Darktremor" a2sd, Link2sd (for apps that a2sd cannot move), V6 script & V8 CM7.2 fixed script running without issue...
My Rom is : Icecream Sunday 2 by Jusada CM7.2.0-RC0-GalaxyAce-Kang-BareBones + @[email protected] #4 2.6.35.7-perf-CL562111 OC Kernel @921mhz stable...
I have 23 apps & 39 games installed... memory is 278mb total with 115mb available after app/game installation (all apps/games/data moved to sd where possible, Dalvik is kept in phone memory for faster read/write access by system...
My phone runs like a cat with a rocket up it's arse. Seriously fast, no force closes, no random reboots. For gaming I use ChainFire 3d + Qualcomm, PowerVR & Nvidia plugin drivers...(invaluable & essential for smooth & compatible gaming)...

Kandros, he said fastest optimize: Games running fast, Internet loading fast, Battery draining fast...
I'd suggest to raise the min cpu value to max.
Try AutoKiller Memory Optimizer... You can find it on Market.
Your phone must be rooted to use this application.

10. GPS tweaks
11. Change your DNS settings
12. Apply custom /etc/hosts to block some ads in apps
13. Upgrade to Gingerbread
14. Install Script Manager to run init.d scripts in boot time.
15. Or modify the ramdisk from your boot.img file to enable root + busybox + init.d scripts

You can't compare both man. They are completely different scripts...
V6 - is a memory management script. It fixes LMK and OOM values so that apps don't run in background. Soon ultimately this may increase the overall battery.
Slaid - its a better script as it has many different features like smoothness, lag fix, battery tweaks, fast boot, etc. So if u want overall increase in performance... Go for this.
Adrenaline shot - similar to slaid but with some changes in code. Its here in dev section if not, go to Ace dev section and ask the Guy who wrote this to make changes for our mini.
Hope it helped you

Hello to all.
I'm here again
STOP! THIS MOD IS ONLY FOR SAMMY JB AND ICS BASED ROM! IT DOESEN'T WORK ON CM10, ASOP, AOKP, MIUI OR OTHER ROM!
THE PROBLEM
Our gs3 has a very bad memory managment. Ram decrease, lags, memory leak and a lot of problem with multitasking are present on this wonderful device. We have a very important hardware but 1gb of ram and a bad software optimization make our gs3 not give a good feeling in heavy usage.
THE SOLUTION
bestMultiTaskingFix is a set of tweaks that allows to solve bugs management of memory and no possibility of mulitasking the galaxy s3.
Through this zip you can solve these problems and eliminate lags and manage a very large number of applications at the same time without having problems of slowness of poor memory.
In addition app phone, contacts and camera are locked in memory to make these faster to run.
I can play 2games togheter and navigate on internet with firefox and send messages with gosms without lags. Of course more apps are opened more is the risk of lags and leak of memory so be carefull.
FIRST OF ALL, do a Nandroid backup, as well as a backup of your sd-card content !
You're doing this at your very own risk, I'm not to be held responsible if something goes wrong
There is a very small risk of damage your internal memory since the continued operations of I/O of swap but is a very small risk.

What do you need
Galaxy s3 , root and custom recovery
Kernel with swap support
If you have Supercharger disable it!!
If you have Zram enabled, disable it!!
If you have HardSwap enabled disable it!!
Donwload the zip attached
Buil prop editor installed (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor)
Remove all memory app, task killer with oom or minfree settings like AutoKiller Memory Optimizer, System turner, rom toolbox or similar. You can use these but not for set up memory stuffs!!!
THE GUIDE
Download latest bestMultiTaskingFix
1)Edit your build.prop file
Open Built prop editor and change these value:
- davilk.vm.heapsize must be setted to 192m
- davilk.vm.heapstartsize must be setted to 8m
- davilk.vm.heapgrowthlimit must be setted to 64m
Then reboot
2)Go into recovery and flash file
a) Flash bestMultiTaskingFix.zip
b) Reboot your phone
Notes
Not use any memory app, task killer with oom or minfree settings like AutoKiller Memory Optimizer, System turner, rom toolbox or similar. You can use these but not for set up memory stuffs!!!
Not use supercharger!!
You can check if swap is working installing terminal emulator and writing free. If values of space in Swap line are different from 0 value, you are ok.
If you have lags, kill all process with a task killer like advanced task manager(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.taskmanager)

Hi i have a couple of questions
1. What does your solution do exactly, can u explain in layman terms?
2. Why remove V6 supercharger? Because it conflicts with your solution or because it doesn't work as it should?
3. This is more of an unrelated question. If I already have supercharger installed default in my rom, using Autokiller together with it is ok or not?

It's interesting to see how much free RAM you have on your screenshots. I always seem to be stuck at ~100mb. Might give this a try!
Hi guys, I've just installed miniCM 4.0.2 on my friend's x8: this is great, you've made this old 2.2 crap run like hell! I really want to thank all devs for this great job. And I have 4 questions:
- In future releases will kernel be updated via MiniCM Updater or there'll always need to flash tft via flastool?
- Is there a way to flash new kernels with cwm and/or without a PC/mac?
- Reboot issues on 4.0.2 stable can depend on kernel?
- Are these just ram/too many bkgrd procs issues that I can solve using a mount partition?
Kernels cant be flashed via our phone presently...(it might be possible in the future)

I tested minicm for a month now.
Best solution for me is:

2. KSM on
3.Purging assets on
4. Zram off (zram for some reason, lags and crashes my system)
5. Limit backround processes to 4
6. Force 2d rendering on
7.Disable HW overlays on
8. OC to 748 mhz with smartass 2
9. surface improvement ONLY color banding (without blur effect)
10. 16 bit transaprency
11. Entropy seeder
12. A2SD with dalvik cache on sd
13. Sd cache --> 512 kbs

Better to use swap partition (create via pc "minitool partition home edition")
-swap partition is faster than swap file(a little bit)
-swappiness above 40~60 can decrease sdcard life.
-if u use swap so disable compcache in cyanogen settings(speeds up & make phone responsible.
-overclock more than 729mhz can harm our chipset

Yes percentage
For kernel Swappiness 100 means : no difference between ram & swap partition , so whole system will slow down
For kernel Swappiness 0 means : swap partition should not be used at all!
#higher swappiness means more active swap( effects SD life)
#app swapper2 is a good option to controll swap!

Numbers 5,6 and 7 are in the Developers Settings or something called like that (in the System Settings). 5 and 7 you have to check after every reboot.
Number 13 You can use via third party apps (for example SD Speed Increase).
Number 11 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2009217.
Swap and a2sd are native functions of ROM/kernel (numbers 1 and 12).
MicroSD class 6 is absolutely minimum for Swap, but it should works.

Infromation About CrossBreeder-
- This is a new take at Android lag reduction. It's lightweight and won't consume battery. Users have reported drastic improvements in usability and even benchmark scores. It will show noticeable improvements - Android devices from Donut to Froyo to Gingerbread to Honeycomb to ICS and Jellybean.
- This is a combination of 5 different methodologies to reduce Android lag.
- Removal of DNS lag . A lot of the lag in a lot of apps, apart from the GUI lag, is due to slow DNS querying, specially on the mobile network.
- CrossBreeder now runs a caching, parallelising DNS client on the device. So now most of your DNS queries will be served from the cache and if not found, the query will be sent in in round robin fashion to multiple DNS servers including Google DNS, OpenDNS and your home router and the reply will be served to you, hot.
- This speeds up network access and networked apps, like Browsers of course, and Tapatalk, Gmail and thousands of others drastically. And removes a lot of the lag where it was due to DNS querying. This will not increase your network or download speed but pages will load much faster.
- This will future proof your devices as more and more apps start using HTML5 and/or reside completely as web pages or the like.-
I Just thought, there are some great developers in our forum, with great tweaks, geared for their own specific purpose, and i thank them. I HAVE asked for permission to use these tweaks, to make a pack of the best, from the best taking a few of those great tweaks and putting them in one lightweight package. Now , I did NOT create any tweak in this pack. That is why introductions and thanks are in order.
ALL THANKS TO THESE GUYS

Without these guys we wouldnt be where we are now, as a forum, or a community.
Gentlemen- On behalf of the users of this tweak , and every E4GT owner out there.... *BOWS* I thank you....
I am in no way responsible for your equipment, flash at your own risk
Download ComaDose version you prefer, from the downloads section, and put on root of phone
Boot into custom recovery
Flash ComaDose
Reboot to rom (flash stock kernel) or reboot system etc.
This is a .zip file, can be flashed with CWM recovery, put on root of phones storage, boot into recovery & flash.
Issues with repack and new Custom Recovery kernels-
Now Ive heard it works for some people on repacks, and ive heard of battery drain, and GPS taking along time to lock on others. But the best results i get, are out of the "stock" Leak kernels.
Conflicting issues with new Custom Recovery modded and released updated version

Test Init.d With The "21 Test-init.d" script
-THINGS YOU NEED-
Rom Toolbox (free or pro)
Root Access (superuser access) for Rom Toolbox
ComaDose Already Flashed
-Steps-
After ComaDose flash, if you want to check if your init.d is functioning properly you can check it with the 21 test init.d script...
After flash the test init.d script has already ran (on startup) now thwe sole purpose of this script is to show whether or not init.d
is properly functioning.
When this script is ran (executed) as all scripts in init.d are upon startup, it creates a file in the /data folder.
so why dont we take a look for it?
Using Rom Toolbox, go to the "root browser" tab (upon first startup youll be prompted to SuperUser permissions, Allow this)
Once in Root Browser youll be in the root of your device by default. ( / )
Click on the "Data" folder..
In the /Data folder, were looking for "Exit Only Init.d" file
if you see this file, your init.d is working and all scripts are running ...
If you dont see this file after reboot (post flash) you can execute the "21 test Init " script manually...
back out to the root of the phone, go into "system", then into "etc" then into the "init.d" folder and locate the "21_testinit.d" script, press on it , bringing up this menu.
press the "open as" tab, bringing up this menu...
then press the "script file" option..
Then you want to press the "execute Script" option, making sure the "execute as root option is checked, as shown below.
which will then execute the script using init.d support to do so.. looking like this
after its executed, go back into /data and find the "Exit Only Init.d" file if its there your init.d is working.....
Awesome!

This Mod is NOT Kernel specific. its init.d scripts, a few extras like gps.conf files , this is great on battery makes phone sleep like a baby, (depending on what you have running , obviously) now with the added Crossbreeder it give it a nice snappy response aswell

I would uninstall the current Cbreeder , then reflash ComaDose, better to start fresh. that way nothing being conflicted, or written over.. etc.
So I take it stock mf9 kernel wouldn't actually work where it doesn't support initd or does this add that ability

this pushes init.d support my friend.
If your unsure if your devices Init.d support is functioning there is a script in the /etc /init.d folder called 21_testinitd after flash, go to /data look for a FILE not folder, exit_only-initd. if its there your init.d - busy box is working...
:good: :good:
