[HELP] "Unknown baseband" after flashing to Darky ROM (sc-02b galaxy s) - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI to everyone..i Hope you can help my in my problem. After flashing my phone which is (sc-02b, japan version of galaxy s) i lost my signal and can't seen to get it work. It says "Unknown baseband" in the settings. I tried to flashed other modem with clockwork mod recovery but with no luck. Any ideas?
Plus If I flashed back to stock firmware there's an error during installation in recovery mode 3e.

checkout darkyrom forum somone there might be able to help u

Actually I have had the same problem when flashing with one of the ICS port. I don't believe it's ROM dependant. From what I've read this far, you got to replace your EFS folder with the content of the backup you (hopefully) have done: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17580166&postcount=2

same problem here
i want the ics rom too.. but there is no signal after i flashed my sc-02b docomo galaxy S

[Q] random reboots and no service on ics i9000

hello,
I'm trying to flash ics on my friend's sgs i9000(2.3.3), but some probs occured.
I flashed the rc3.1 aosc icssgs rom (tried cm9 teamhacksung too) and it worked great for about 30 mins and then a random reboot occured. since then they occured randomly when i turned off screen, turned it on, or even just on idle...
I also had no service which i didn't know how to fix (tried different modem it worked but not for long). i'm in israel.
Eventually I odin flashed the stock orange rom back and semaphore 2.1.1 gb kernel in order to to do a nandroid restore.
well I wanted to ask if any of these might happen on the doc's master ics rom v3.1.
and how do I restore the service (on my defy i have the defy baseband switcher) as the service menues don't apear to work on these ics build(is there any way of preserving the baseband/modem from the stock rom?)
Hi,your SGS has the original IMEI?
Try flashing this Stock rom I9000XXJVU 2.3.6 with Odin.
The Guide:w.w.w.theandroidsoul(.)com/xxjvu/
and flash this kernel. Here is the guide for this.
w.w.w.theandroidsoul(.)com/root-xxjvu-firmware/
After this go to recovery and flash the RC3.1 or the newer RC4.1.

[Q] i9000 tried to flash CM9...kinda fsck'ed

[email protected],
after successfully flashing CM9 to my Defy I convinced my friend to go to ICS as well...so far so good/bad!
I followed the guide to install CMW recovery and did a backup of the stock ROM.
After this I copied CM9 nightly and the google apps package to the internal memory...apperantely the zip package of the google apps was bad, so i tried to boot into CM9..it took a damn long time, so I removed the battery (OK, bad move...but so be it don't bit*h about it!)..CM9 booted but said someting about "encryption of the storage failed..please do a factory wipe"......I did so, using CWM recovery...which ended me up in a boot loop without having access to CMW recvry.
So I thought, flashing the zImage again with heimdall will have the bootloader rewritten (maybe the 2nd bad move this day) so I can access recovery again...I imagined zImage was kinda like a BIOS of a PC...apparently it is NOT
After some google-f00 I found out I have to flash an official FW from samsung, with repartitioning, using odin, am I right?
But the probel is, that they tell me to do a *#7465625# to find out details about the stock firmware...but this is not bossible because the phone hangs at the galaxy s boot logo.
So my question is...what can I do to access either recovery or the stock firmware with a phone stuck at boot logo (i can boot into download mode) and having only a nandroid backup of the stock rom?
Can anybody tell me what to do without spending 200 coins to obtain another SGS for my friend (Yeah, I told him that the risk is to brick the SGS, but I have a kind of guilty conscience.
Hope someone can help...
Thanks a lot!
Odin doesnt care about whats currently on your phone . Just go to samfirmware. Com, find a nice stock rom (2.3.3) for i9000, and flash it with odin. If you dont know how to use odin: use the search button in the i9000 section ''how to use odin''. keep us updated / or if you have any other questions

hey
when i screwed my sgs, odin + darky ressurection rom helped
i can't post a link , google "Darkys_v9.2_Resurrection_Edition.zip" ,though i can't remember if i used that version. some got removed, try to look for a sourceforge link. That still works
and see the reply above how to use odin
Hey,
There are also lots of tutorials on youtube, and other sites to show how to flash an original rom. I also screwed up my install of CM9. And then I followed this guide to get the original rom running again.
w w w.theandroidsoul.com/download-install-xxjvs-firmware-update-galaxy-s-i9000-to-android-2-3-5/
After that, use this link for rooting + CWM:
w w w.theandroidsoul.com/root-xxjvs/
Greets from Holland !
PS: can't link -_- so you have to copy and paste the URL.

hmmm... i read from another site there are some custom rom that requires the phone to be in a rooted stock rom or another custom rom...
example:
to install Galaxy S GT I9000 with Orange Amestris v7.3 ROM Custom Firmware you need to be on stock XWJW1 or XXJVU Firmware since the baseband of "amestris" would be on xwjw1 or xxjvu or custom rom with the same baseband...
what stock rom/firmware the phone was in anyway?im guessing gingerbread stock rom? you still got a chance to update it right since you can access download mode...
from what i can remember, i updated my boyfrnd's s2 from gingerbread to official ics from "sammobile".com (remove quote)
then updated it to a custom rom...
well this might be irrelevant but this is how i updated my galaxy s:
well on my galaxy s i updated it from gingerbread stock rom rooted to gingerbread miui then to ics miui andy's version, since im on ics i have successfully tried different ics custom rom like darknight, slimics, elite etc...
hope this kinda help =]
Thanks a lot...I flashed the original firmware (it didn't start properly, but I don't care) and with this was able to flash the zImage again...then I was able to access bootloader and reinstall CM9

Galaxy note screen, nothing else

Hi guys, so I tried flashing Paranoid Android onto my phone using cwm 5.5, the phone was on stock ICS, now that Ive flashed it i simply cannot get past the "galaxy note" screen it does nothing, I have tried erasing all data een with superwipe, and tried a flash of stock gingerbread, stock ics and other roms to no avail.
Anyone who can help me?
I think you have not read the forums thoroughly, Never flash CM9 based roms from a Stock ICS kernels, you will be superbricked, try pc odin to get back to GB rom if it hangs at particular point then you have emmc bad partitions, send it to Samsung service or try to revive you gnote with altered pit file.
Damn, I have not read the warnings because I have rooted and rommed so many phones that I just treated this as a normal phone and did not know about problems like that.
I tried flashing stock Gingerbread and stock ICS by ODIN this has got the samsung screen now but no further.
It has reset the binary, do you think Samsung will repair for free?

Wrong Stock-ROM + Root to flash CM10?

Hi...
i flashed the stock rom 2.3.6 "I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA" and root "CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS".
But if i flash another rom, like CM7, CM9 or CM10, i stuck in boot-loops all the time.
I think, i have the wrong base to flash any rom.
Can anyone show me a 100% working german stock rom + root to flash another roms like CM10?
I used this site to flash:
www . Androit Pit . de » Android Forum » Samsung Android Devices » Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) Forum » Root / Custom Roms / Modding für Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) » Der Ultimative Samsung Galaxy S (Flash) Guide - Erklärungen, Tipps und Tricks! (Stand 23.07.)
Sorry my english...
Hey
Upgrade to 2.3.6 (link given below) then root it (same link)..then while flashing roms make full wipes (data ,cache, etc) before and after flashing the roms...that should solve it..

Stock rom before flashing CM10 nightly
Hello,
I tried flashing CM10 20120820 and 20120824 nightly after rooting the Indian stock rom DDJV9. I am not getting network signal at all.. Tried searching a lot of threats and couldnt find anything. COuld someone please tell me which stock rom should i be on.
I have flashed only CM10 nightly and gapps. Should i flash any other kernel and radio. If yes, could someone please provide me the link for it.
Thanks in advance for the help!
try tchindalia's advice maybe it gives you a different modem and go into recovery, wipe all and then flash your desired rom.
If you're not getting a signal, you could have a problem with your IMEI number (common problem when flashing these later roms). You should have a backup EFS folder under (/backup/efs). Copy the entire EFS folder into the root directory of your device (/) and REBOOT. So one of the files should now be /EFS. (Make sure you overwrite the files I'm the current /EFS folder.)
If you don't have a backup EFS folder you will need to Starr from scratch (I.e. Odin back to stock rom, root it, backup your EFS, and flash a custom rom).
Good luck.

hey, my phone is flashing while odin stops responding and my phone stucks there.......
Help please
Try re-flashing the CWM you flashed first when you rooted your phone . If you used mb-14's method , which I think you did because I had the same problem , this will fix it .
I hope you didn't try flashing other firmware after the problem occoured . If you did , you might need to reflash your stock firmware .
