Hello friends I have been here on xda reading and posting for a while. I feel that the people here are very helpful and kind. I feel we could help.each other with any thing. Cell phones. Girlfriends. Money. Advice. Anything is possible thanks to all of us. I made a utube video with my girlfriend last nite. And right before we got it on I was taping it with my waterproof defy. She made a comment that she didn't want me to take it cause it would end up on the internet. So I made a joke about not putting her face on it. It went over very well we had a good moment it was fun. So today I placed it on utube so she could she it on her phone. I also told her I was gonna get big hits because I was gonna send it to all my friends. And she laughed @ me a lil bit more then alot. So I sent it to every1 I knew. Apparently I only know 39 people including myself. So now jokes on me. Im hoping xda friends and reader can get me some more views to shut her up. If not take a look @ a pretty lady @ least. Please be nice and leave a funny comment or least thumb it up. Thanks for reading and looking. [Boot Animation] XDA Boot Animation

I was randomly looking through XDA this evening/morning considering it is 6am for me right now. Anywayz, I want to know if this will work for the Revo or not. I think it will but not 100% sure.

The 480x800 doesn't work. I just asked the OP of the post to make one for the Revo. We will see what happens with it. I like it a lot. Hoping that one will be made.

Unfortunately the Revo has 2 things going against it.
1) The images are stored in the boot.img, and there is limited space in there as there is not much space partitioned for the boot.img (only about 8.5mb)
2) They use rle image files which are larger than standard image files.
With that being said, the download size for that is 7mbs, converting them to rle will make it over 8mbs, add the rest of the ramdisk files, and 3.5mbs for the kernel and we far exceed the size allotted for the boot.img

Is that why we don't have a super cool "Join the Revoltution!" bootscreen yet?
As for this particular bootscreen, perhaps it could be compressed more than it is? It may be a bit bloated if most devices don't have the same restrictions as the Revo... But I'll admit I'm talking out my ass on this.

The bad part about the way our boot animations work is it is limited in size and so we can only put in what will fit. It also does not repeat itself, so once it runs out of images it stops on the last until it loads.

Sounds like me when Battlefield 3 released earlier this week. lol. But anyways. MT if you have this thing rooted and a ROM tonight you will forever be my hero lol. If a root comes out for it I'm going back to stock to check out everything they did to it and then rooting again and installing your ROM

I noticed it acting funny. I like to use the 'Brightness' app to change my screen brightness because it also allows me to get screen brightness even lower than built in tool.
the relevance to that is, is that I noticed if I switched the built-in brightness control to "Automatic", the home keys lights would then work properly and even if I switch the brightness with the "brightness" app.
So, try setting the brightness to 'Automatic' and see if that cures your issues.

Well I have an upgrade available in March that I will definitely be using. However, I'll still have my Revo and will still be pushing out themes for it after my upgrade.

I would never say screw you guys. You guys rock! And once I get the nexus all dialed in and stop changing kernels and/or roms every day trying out stuff, I'm sure I'll get back over here and start trying any/everything you and mt put out. I need one phone to be all stable and reliable though, and right now, it's the revo that's my goto for now.

How did you manage that? Been thinking about calling Verizon about the once-a-day random reboots I keep having, but I don't want them to try and give me a tbolt or charge.

Don't get me wrong, I love what MT has done with this phone and I've had a lot of fun working on the ICK theme. I'm just tired of my phone rebooting all the time.
If I were to get a new phone, I'd still hang around here

In the process of deodexing the system apps right now, then will get to the framework and upload them when they're done.
EDIT: Deodexing keeps stopping so I didn't get them all. If anyone deodex's these apps, please let me know so I can link to them here as well.

I was using xUltimate but I kept getting errors. Other than that I have no idea lol. Maybe the Android Kitchen can do it on Ubuntu. I'm gonna try that out tomorrow.

XDA admins explained to me once that they want to wait to see if there would be enough interest in a particular phone. If there is development for it, they will likely create a forum for it.

Probably the same thing that happened to the Prime. Shipped with HC and like 3 weeks later got ICS. They just want the phone out there to get buzz going and then they make everyone feel good and update it to ICS so it seems like they care a lot more than they do. Plus t gives them the 1 update to the newest firmware that most phones get.
