Hi , guys , im sorry if there is another one thread like that , but i cant decide what the problem exactly is.
Ive ttrying to install new ROM but during the installation there was some fault , i dont know what is it and the installation couldnt go ahead and the phone didnt responding.
after that i try to restart the phone but the only thing he is doing is to load some tiny blue things, like its loading his bios , but not even more.
the display is staying like that and nothing happened
i think , i f****d up my phone but i hope there is still hope
any ideas whats wrong and how to fix that ?

I also had this but i fixed it!
first install the normal HardSPL, without changing any files.
after that install the rom again
It will work now

first, a big thanks to all the rom developers around. You transformed my Diamond in a usable and enjoyable tool.
What happened to me tonight is very frightening. In fact, I cannot believe what happened.
And this is the story: I was at a birthday party and later in the evening I checked my phone : it seemed to have frozen, so I rebooted it as I do sometimes when I have no other choice. But this time something strange happened : I got the following message "this concludes the beta test of this software release. thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers" - what the ... ? No way to make a call, the message is impossible to remove... completely blocked !!!
I don't remember exactly the rom I flashed last because I sometimes change. It might be a dutty's release (75%M sure) - anyway I was in a very bad situation because my wife wasn't feeling well and I couldn't call her without finally borrowing a phone from someone.
I will flash a new rom tomorrow and I hope that the message will disappear but I can tell you that it is a very strange feeling when suddenly your phone refuses to operate normally. It's a nightmare.
I hope that someone has an explanation for this because I don't want to go trough this situation ever again, it's just so annoying to have a phone which tells you "No you can't use me; your trial period has expired" when you need it he most.

Hard rest does not work - had to reflash back to branded (Telstra) ROM
i'm having the exact problem right now, what can i do to fix this? someone told me to reflash it but how? i'm VERY new to the diamond

I bought the phone from a person so it's second hand. The seller did mention he updated the ROM, I'm assuming this is the cause of the problem? help please

Sigh and since my computer will not sync, I cannot reflash it. Hard set is also a no go.
ya I cant sync it with my computer either... i'm searching other sections on this forum and I cant seem to find one that teaches you how to flash without syncing with the computer
OK i got it well kinda sorta. If you hard reset and just use the date taht dutty had then your phone will load. Do not correct the date and you should also change the date on your computer so that it wont sync. Then donwload his new rom or whatever rom you prefer and then flash it. Then change the dates back. It worked for me.

I had the same problem last night- expired beta software. If I do a hard reset I believe I will loose all the info on the phone, is that correct?
I was thinking that changing the date will work, is there another way to change the date without having to loose the info?
Someone has a reliable link to an instruction on how to flash the ROM?

!everyone! you can flash roms from bootloader. hold volume down and the little red reset button, keep holding vol down untill bootloader. at the tri color screen, run ruu from host pc. everything will be fine with this method. just like activesync.
ok i to change the time and stuff and it actually can sync using active sync.. however.. when tried to install HSPL 1.24 after the part where the phone will turn black.. i click on the DiamondCustomRUU as instructed
but it says this "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). CLick on OK to terminate the application"
Is there a way I can recover this without losing all that is on my phone?

if i do i the bootloader way, when i connect from the three colour screen it cant pick up the phone because it says i'm missing Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM

Im having this problem since I upgrade to Kid_DC Media OS (4.2) . (I dont know and Dont think its a rom problem )
So... what could be the problem , cuz then I upgrade to agent_47 Valkyrie_v1 rom , and I still had the problem .
ps : I ve been changing the rom since I have my xperia , but before I upgrade to kid_DC's rom I didnt have the soft reset problem . Now Im using touch it 9 ... and I STILL have the problem...
In xperia general forum told me to hard reset my device... But Now Ive done it like 10 times in a rode... And the soft reset problem is there!! ...

If it's still there then it seems to be a hardware problem and you should give it for repair.
First try to install the stockSPL and a stock ROM, maybe this is causing some problems (I never heard of something like this though).

1st instal stock rom and then stock SLP.....
if i were in ur plc i would hard spl again after installing stock spl to check if the problem was fixed...if not then go 2 repair

Well , I installed the stock rom first (obviously ) , and then the stock hard spl ... .
edit... One minute ago , my phone just got reset... Im very sad and dissapointed...
other suggestion?...
install Hard-SPL again.
do a hard reset not soft reset
install the stock rom again (refer latest R3A rom)

my x1i developed a similar soft-reset cycle after removing panelmanager directory from program files, on every boot phone hanged after about 1-2 minutes and then restarted.
i was on itjes touch-it9 rom and a hard reset solved it. but i think this cant be ur problem as u have already tried reinstalling roms. hope somebody solves the mystery.

try without sd card in for a while..
try without sim card in for a while.
are you installing anything extra?
if the problems still there then I guess you have to send it back for repair.
Hi all,
My xperia had the reboot problem. (after starting up windows mobile 6.1 it rebooted immediatly.
After that i installed the Ruu rom including SEX1 windows 6.5. My phone worked 4 about 2 weeks perfectly.
Now.. my phone starts rebooting again and i think a have to give it back to the shop for warranty (or does anybody else has other idea's?)
i have to install the stock ROM again ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431218 ) but first i have to install the original OS.
Where can i find this?
by the way.. i also cant get into the rainbow screen...
what can i do?!

6.5 is not final dude, anything is possible with software thats not final, also 3rd party apps can cause issues.... if u are having no probs with the stock rom why not stick to the stock rom, try other roms to be sure first, dont just send back a phone because its rebooting after u changed the rom...see what the cause may be first

That was my first thought also but if you read it well you see that he couldn't get into tri collor screen.
you have to explain why you can't get in the rainbow screen doe it reboots? or wouldn't it just get in there. did try to press the volume down button and the power button at the same time?

but if you want to flash it you really got to get in the rainbow screen thats the only way to flash it.
hey guys, few days back i strung the courage torgether to flash rom.
everything was going well till i noticed that my xperia was updating the rom and seemed to take forever to load the rom.
at present it switches itself on and off and says continuing to update rom and then a white screen with blue text says loading.
I need to find a solution to this as if i tell my dad that the device is cooked im in deep, and i also do not have insurance of which was a dull thing.
so please any suggestions and tips whould be much appriciated ty. x
I am no expert. But have you HardSPL your phone before flashing the ROM? That is a requirement.
For the current prob, I can imagine taking out your SDcard (if you are using card method) should stop it from reading the image. You prob have to hard reset the device for it to boot properly.

Iv tried removing the sd card but to no evail, when i do this the xperia is stuck at the bootload mode and says continuing to update rom, my battery has drained so i cnt switch the phone on, it has to be dne when on the charger.
and a hard rest does nt work.
Did you HardSPL? If not, you will need to do that first.

Just bought this rooted phone and dont know much but did alot of research before and after getting it.
Ok so i have jesusfreke v1.42 (says so in recovery state so im guessing thats what i got)
I decided to download a theme because when i bought the phone it had this ugly xbox theme on it and i wanted to change it. I looked up some themes and liked the blue star theme i found on this site. I downloaded it copied it to my sd card renamed it update and i restarted the phone in recovery mode. At first i didn't wipe the phone i just installed the update and waited about 20min nothing happened. The screen would load G1 then go to a blank screen. So i looked some stuff up and i tried again this time wiping the phone with alt w before i installed the update. Same thing.. I downloaded the rc33 jf v1.42 theme for the blue star i just dont know what to do as im new to this root thing. I did some more research and i came across someone saying to reflash the rom and try again. I dont know the process of reflashing the rom can i just download the file and name it update and install in recovery or do i need to wipe the phone? will i have to redo the hardspl thing ive been reading about? also why did the theme not work is it because im using a blank sd card that didn't come with the rooted phone. I know seems like alot of questions i dont know wtf im doing and i been searching for hours and trying different things but im scared i might brick the phone so i decided to register and just ask already. damn bro i laughed so hard at the jesus freke 1.42 cause tht was the first rom that i flashed ever on my g1 last year. but go HERE to my blogsite and follow those steps. ( NOTE THAT THOSE LINKS MOST LIKELY DONT WORK ANYMORE I JUST HAVENT FIXED EM BEEN LAZY)
BUT YOU CAN GET ALL FILES NEEDED HERE ON XDA OR BY GOOGLEING IT.

Menu > Settings > About Phone, what is the Mod Version and Firmware version ?
Also Power on holding the Camera button, what what do you get there ?
It helps to have this info, the recovery may be old, but the rom may be new.
Anyways, it would be worth updating the recovery, newer ones make almost everything automated
