AT&T/HTC Official Desktop Dock Pics - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

So my Vivid and dock are finally in. Just a couple of things to point out...
> AT&T Corporate stores do not have them in stock. It's an order only item.
> It costs $50, however it does come with another official HTC USB Cable and AC to USB power adapter.
> VERY tight fit. I have a Bodyguardz White Carbon Fiber skin on mine and it barely fits in there. (Pics show just how tight it is and how thin the skin is).
Let me know if you have any questions. In my opinion, this is totally worth it. I had to warranty out my Inspire because no matter what cable I plugged in to it, any slight movement would disconnect it. It got very loose after about 8 months, and I don't want that happening to this beauty.

Thanks a lot for the great pics, it really helps to know if it would or would not work with a case and from your pictures and comments it is clear that with some cutting the edges it won't fit.
There is barely any room at the back to you really cannot use a case at all.

I wanted to wait for the aftermarket cheapies on the Bay, but there is something about that OEM htc branding on the dock... I might be powerless against it. If it wasn't for the fact that I can't use it with a case, It would already be mine. Is it worth the $50, in your opinion?

If you look at the fact that you don't want to "damage" your MicroUSB port, then totally worth it.
Do you know anyone that works for USPS? Or maybe AT&T? Reason why I'm asking is because those two are the ones that I know get a HUGE accessory discount. 50% and 40%, respectively.

Thanks for posting these. I had a similar dock for my Captivate, it was actually the only thing I missed about it when I switched to the Inspire.
This is another reason I will be getting the Platinum branded Seidio case from Best Buy when they get it in. The case comes off so easy compared to others it makes using the dock hassle free.

As a matter of fact, I do... But why does USPS get a larger price break than AT&T themselves? I am going to get it.

or coca-cola...i got my otterbox defender from an AT&T store for $15

We make more money from them than what they make from us, their employees on their monthly bills. Basically. Hard to comprehend, but yeah. My local hospital gets much better monthly service discount (albeit no accessory discount) than us.

I aint paying $50 for a dock that doesnt include an MHL adapter built in, its amazing how overvalued this accessory is

Do these microusb ports typically get damaged easily from normal wear and tear or are you talking about people who swing their phones around on the charger?

any available of the bay that would work with the dock mode?
I think its worth it but i cant find it in any stores in Canada.

Slacker G2 Dock

Just received a Slacker G2 Dock ($15 with free S&H from eBay), plugged my Streak, and it works for charging and synchronization. I did not test A/V yet. A great, inexpensive and stylish alternative to a spare cable.
So this thing has the same PDMI connector? Does it work with a case on (i.e. Otterbox Commuter case)?
wow i might get two! Is there a regular plug for it or is the power from mini usb only?
wow very nice and cheap solution! Unfortunately, the seller shall only be sent after the U.S..
Wow this is good news! Let us know if the A/V functions work! And thank you for this find!
@ZodiacPhoto,
Could you please post a pic of the Streak in this dock and showing that it is charging. If the PDMI connector on this Slacker G2 dock matches the Dell Streak and it charges - you seriously just found a hidden jewel! So I am eagerly awaiting your reply so we can verify and order these bad boys
Thats that thing I was trying to remember the name of in the "Dell Please, we need a charging dock like this one" thread thanks!
Pity they don't seem to be available in the UK though.
Photos are here!

Hi ZodiacPhoto,
Thanks for the photo's like, though how stable/sturdy is the phone on the dock? The main body of the dock seem's quite low and no where near the phone, so it looks like there's no support for the phone and it looks like its hanging on the PDMI connectors....is that a correct assumption?
Thank you! Awesome! Does Streak feel stable in it? I am asking because there is not a lot of support in the back and I am afraid (after a while) the port maybe damaged under pressure of Streaks weight.
Looks like we're asking the same question
;0 Also do you by chance have any sort of case. I am usually have mine in a Commuter case so I wonder if the case may prevent it from connecting all the way.
I think one could glue something to support the back if necessary so it's not as big of a concern as the fitment with the case on.
Update on the dock
The dock has 2 outputs, labeled "Line out" and "Headphones (symbol)".
When I try to play music while connected to USB, I get the familiar message that SD card content is not available when connected via USB. I unplugged the USB cable and played some music. There is no signal on any of the two outputs of the dock.
---
Also, I can say that Streak is quite stable on the dock, the center of gravity is well within the area of the dock, and the dock itself, while small, is quite heavy - it feels like it may have lead weight inside, and bottom of the dock is covered by non-slip rubber.
@ZodiacPhoto,
Thanks again. Do you think Streak being in a case would not allow the PDMI connector of the dock to go all the way in and thus not charge the device (or even letting it stay in the dock)?
Streak in a case on the Slacker dock
I have to remove my Commuter case to fit the Streak on the Slacker dock.
However, it may be possible to fit an extremely "lean" case, which does not increase the dimensions of the Streak, if such case even exists.
Thanks for your prompt response. I was afraid that may be the case (no pun intended ). From the many high res pictures I was able to find on the web it looks like the bottom portion of the case (near the charging port) will prevent it from going all the way in.
Still at $15 - it's a very nice deal. I'll have have to learn how to remove the case quickly and without damaging the case

Supposedly the T-Mobile in Nampa ID will be getting them tomorrow so it may just be a waiting game depending on where you are located.
they had them here in tampa,fl thursday when I went in.
Sent from my Dell Streak 7
They also had them here at the T-mobile in Georgia today..if i decide to keep mine i want one
Just picked mine up @ T-mobile here in Delaware
Just picked on up in Oklahoma City. Has a nice feel to it.
Got mine in San Antonio, it was the only one in the store.
just my opinion
went real quick on my lunch to check the case out and i didnt like it at all. its flimsy and kinda ugly and 40 bucks is over priced for this. i say go to best buy and pick up the targus case thats made for nooks/kindles, fits perfectly and looks better and way more durable. the lady at tmobile couldnt even make it stand up lol
I have a case for my nook color and it doesn't fit at all. Yup, 40 bucks is waaay overpriced, but since there is no other option right now, it's 40 bucks or a broken Streak. I can't believe T-mo won't offer insurance on it.

Agree 100%. I bought the T-Mobile version and it is way overpriced for what it is. A pooorly constructed (you can see leather glue on all the corners and folds), ill-fitting (the buttons are hard to touch sometimes because of the leather overlap on them), badly engineered (no opening for charger), piece of junk excuse of a case. I returned it when I found the Targus case for Nooks/Kindles sold at BestBuy that opens up into portrait mode like a reporter's notepad. It is extremely well built, the materials are top notch, the fit is great, and I can charge it while it's in the case. I'm done looking for cases.

The Silicon Snap on Hard Cover for $9.97 (I could never find it on ebay, and this one is not like the cheap plastic ones you get from there)
Also the OEM battery cover is $10, not sure if thats a deal but I saw it's $18 on ebay. Mine is all scratched up from sliding the phone on my desk and countertops over the past few months, it doesnt even say XPERIA anymore, just XPEP
And FREE 2 day shipping.
I already got my stuff in, the boxes are all Verizon branded, not SE OEM. The dock had a $29.99 price tag and the hard cover had a $24.99 price on it, lol. Guess it's on clearance.
Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Been thinking about buying the media dock. Do you know if taking the online ad with the online price into the store they will match their online price?

When I first saw the price I tried going to the store but no one had any of this stuff in stock. Free 2 day shipping is fantastic though.
Man I appreciate this post. I immediately went and ordered the dock. I had one for my LG Ally and I used it every day, so this is a great deal and a great time to buy.
Just curious....did Verizon not include the dock when u got the phone? Only ask cause I got one with my AT&T play. Sucks if they didn't.
Sent from my iPhone 4s
Nope - Verizon packages together the phone, the battery, the USB cable, the charger end and a cable to allow non-Sony Ericsson headsets to work with the play. Of course, since I got my Play free with a 2-year contract renewal, I can't really complain.
Thanks, I bought two!
Good find. I just got the dock for $11.23 and cover for $7.48 with corporate discount.
I want a dock that cheap so bad! D:
Got my dock today, and it works sweet! Good deal at 50% off, I would never have paid full price for it.
Ordered mine today, supposed to get it in 2 days with free shipping. This will be the other part to one of my xmas presents. Bought the Xperia Play as a gift (12 year old boy). I'm having fun playing with it till then though lol... Wish it was dual core and beefed up specs and I might have kept it for myself.
Is it possible to buy without being a verizon customer? Do I have to use a number or can I just buy from there and ship to a US address? I might get someone to bring me something if they're still doing free 2 day shipping
Thanks
Oh, sweet. I bought one of those cheap plastic shells on eBay because I hate how this phone feels like I'm holding a bar of soap, but this looks much nicer.

ZeroLemon HTC One M8 Review

As you can see it came with an Instructions Manual, the 2100mAH battery, warranty card, case and belt clip holder, and yes, even a PET film-type screen protector, all packaged inside the bag on the left.
Instructions, which were fairly detailed:
The case:
It is made out of TPU, which feels a little cheaper than I would expect for a "premium" case. (My Otterbox Defender's rubber feels MUCH nicer) Despite the "cheap" feeling, it holds together very well and actually doesnt detract from the overall feel too much. All in all, I'd say I like it. It holds the phone securely and there isn't any rattling or loose feeling.
I'm impressed with how rugged it feels.
Putting it together is fairly straight forward although there are some extra steps outside of your normal layered case.
Size comparison to Otterbox Defender:
A view of the battery port and included cable:
Assembled:
Charging Port:
So far, it has charged the phone like it should and when plugged in, charges the phone FIRST, and the external battery SECOND.
The one issue I've encountered, is the phone detects the lower amperage as a charging problem/slow charge:
It also fits well with my .33mm thick tempered glass screen protector.
The physical buttons feel fantastic! They have a great tactile feel which is very rare in a case.
Overall, it's a great case, but I think $49 is the MAX I'd pay for this case.
**NOTE: This case covers the IR emitter.**
Thanks for the review, very helpful. Can you please post a pic of the headphone jack? Will it need an extender to connect the headphones? Thanks
It looks like it depends on the shape and size of the connector. It will need to be thin. Like a Bose or Apple sized connector. I'll get pictures soon!
Also about the charging alert, it seems to charge with similar speed to the stock HTC charger (both are 5v/1amp, so it may detect some voltage fluctuation, giving the alert)

- 3Pack USB C to USB 3.0 Nylon Braid cable(1M*2+2M):
- 6 ports QC 3.0 charging station
- Stand fast wireless charger
*** Just as an FYI. I tested all of these with my S8+. I ordered my Note 8, but like everyone else... Its on the way.
We can start with the Nylon Cable. Quality of it is great. Its actually braided and does work with fast charging. I have noticed there are a few aftermarket USB-C cords that do not support this regardless of the power brick used. I tried this with my Samsung power brick and the CHOETECH Desktop charger.
What I really liked is that this is a thick cord. Everything on this actually feels like quality.
On to the Charging Station... This one makes me happy. At work, my desk has all of my cables hidden for my multiple monitors, docking station and phone line. I do have two desktop plugs but I use one for my extra laptop and the other has to be shared for my 2 tablets and 2 phones. I brought the charging station to work and it did not disappoint.
There are 2 designated ports that allow for 3.0 charging. I have one tablet and one phone that use that. When plugged in at the same time, both said fast charging enabled. Here are the specs on this one.
Even though for some, this may not be a big deal, I actually like the stand. I don't have a place to hide this 6 USB brick, so it still looked presentable. Best part, this came with a USB-C cord. VERY cool.
Finally the Wireless Stand. I didn't get to play with this one as much as I wanted to but it was awesome. I had it on my charger for less that 20 min and had 30% juice from 15% up to 45%.
Even though I was fortunate enough to receive these from CHOETECH, I will always give my honest review on these. You're definitely getting your money's worth on these three items. Now if my Note 8 can arrive, I will update my photos with that phone.
