so you rooted it with smart flash tool?you don't need touch version of CWM.normally with the smart flash tool root method the phone will boot in recovery and then you just install the superuser.zip from your sd card.if you followed these steps then there will be the su app in your app drawer.if you are rooted you can always flash the zipped v20o by tantrums.here..

if there is the su app then just install rom manager from market, flash cwm recovery and then reboot into recovery and do full wipe.then you can install the zipaligned, deodexed version of v20o that i posted you above.

Hello Guys..I am Experia user,.now I want to learn about how to mod Galaxy mini.
questions :
~Have I change a kernel to upgrade or install custom rom ??
~which one of stable rom ?? based Cm7, Cm9 or Cm10 ??
~which rom will give me more free ram and perfomance ??
Any one would help me ??Thanks....
(sorry for my English )
first you will need to be on gingerbread
then you should install cwm recovery from Odin (no unlocking required)
then just choose your favourite rom and flash with cwmr

I search and get a thread that I can start to root and instal cwm on froyo ,is that right?
how about kernel and unlock bootloader ??do you mean the default kernel has support all custom rom ??
no need to root froyo just upgrade to gb with the help of Odin multi downloader
we have recovery.img so no need to change the kernel and in every rom its supported kernel is baked
so I must upgrade to official ginger then rooting and instal cwm ??
yes you will need to be on gingerbread either official or unofficial
and rooting is not required to install cwm recovery
and a big warning is do not use rom manager on this phone to install cwm, mobile will get brick

yes no root for installing custom rom
as we are not flashing recovery from from manager and Odin do not require root
but if you want to be on stock and want to modify it then you will need root

Bootloader unlocking is the case of HTC phones. In Samsung phone, you don't've to worry about unlocking bootloader

don't worry about arabic support , JB and ICS support arabic , and the font is amazing
CM9 is ICS
CM 10.x is JB
flash a 2.3.6 firmware then flash CM9 to avoid loosing IMEI , then install any costum rom you want , try SLIMBEAN or GamerzRom

5. Make sure you have drivers (JW4 installing section 1)
6. Put your phone to download download mode. To do that press vol down + home + power.
7. Now your phone should be in download mode. Plug it to computer (make sure odin is still open)
8. Click PDA tab and choose CF-Root-XX_OXA_JW4-v4.4-CWM3RFS.tar.
9. Click start
10. Wait
11. Wait more and then there should read Success! in odin

if you want to install JB after iCs you don't have to install Gapps for cm9
just let it boot , after that , turn off your phone and go to recovery and flash any JB rom
here is the link for slim bean thread

you'll find download link
Slim-galaxysmtd-4.2.2.build.7-OFFICIAL
Slim_Gapps.4.2.2.build.7.x
PS : i've just suggested slimbean , i don't say it's the best , you should give a try for each rom to choose the best for you

Gapps come in a .zip file so just boot into recovery after you flash custom rom then flash Gapps
EDIT: Gapps may be included in custom rom so flash custom rom first and check if you have Gapps, if no Gapps then flash Gapps.

Go to "xda playground" thread in mini general section.. some one has posted a link to download cwm.. download it,put in your sd card,go to stock recovery and flash the zip.. you will have cwm recovery installed in your mobile..
Then try any of the roms from galaxy mini android development section, download it and install it using cwm recovery.. installation procedure will be there on each rom thread

Always after flashing a STOCK rom via Odin boot into recovery and do wipw data factory reset and wipe cache partition too in order to avoid the bootloop
Don't remove the launcher you need at least one to use your phone
Your data mount problem could be solved if you flash an Android 2.3.6 Firmware
(Try with ddq8 or ktm)

BTW some customs roms are based in european or indian firmwares
