A nova (plural novae) is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen on to the surface of a white dwarf star, which ignites and starts nuclear fusion in a runaway manner. Novae are not to be confused with supernovae or luminous red novae.

Nova (click it for trivia!) is a ROM for Optimus Black which aims to replace the stock ROM and give you what stock doesn't: minimalism and speed. Any LG and OEM trace has been reduced to a minimum and it has been significantly improved and optimized while keeping the most bugfree as possible. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I have coming up with it.​

Installation
A wipe is required when first flashing Nova, however, unless otherwise stated, no wipe is needed to upgrade between versions.
Download nova-xxx.zip to your sdcard storage on your OB
[Optional] Check nova-xxx.zip's Md5 to check if your download copy is corrupted
Boot into CWM Recovery through whatever method you choose (anreboot, terminal, ...)
[First flash only] Use the volume keys and power button to select Wipe Data
Select Install Zip from SD Card
Find the nova-xxx.zip file you downloaded earlier
Scroll through all the No's and hit Yes, install nova-xxx.zip
Wait for the installation to finish
Select Reboot
After the long initial reboot, reboot a second time and you're all set

Q. If I flash a firmware after flashing Nova, I can't install applications! why?

A. You might want to try disable BPO and d2u in misc options @ nova script to see if it solves your problem. Also keep in mind that if you have too low voltages for the frequencies, one of the most evident signs will be lag.

A. Reboot. Didn't work? Clear its data in settings. Didn't work? Reflash and sign in google acount before running market.

i am so happy to see another MIUI mod here!! thank you for your great contribution for vibrant!!!!
but, what i focus on isn't CPU, but my GPS. i tried so many method ported in forum(something like gpsd and angrygps.apk). none of them makes my gps work!!

I don't know if it's possible, but if you're looking for suggestions - is it possible to write a script that drops all the installed items into a folder (create a folder to drop them in)?

OK, I just flashed it. I did run ultimate cleaning scripts first, habit. Flashed clean, quadrant score on first try. 1950, 2250 on the second try. GPS - first used faster fix to select north America as region, tried GPS test - nothing. Turned off wifi, GPS test got 12 birds - was able to get a fix on 10 within about 2 minutes. Did not test occuracy. Battery life, will see. Thanks.

May be you can follow what Alex did. I don't use GPS often however will concentrate on GPS better fix.

that is my fault, not to explain clearly my gps problem. exactly, my gps works well at times after a fix(gpsd+angrygps.apk). but if i reboot my phone, gps breaks down randomly, never lock a bird or appear in the top bar. funny, if i reboot again, gps might work again.
here, the question is why gps do not always work, which makes me confused.

This rom is with 1,0 ghz much faster than the stock miui with 1,2 ghz.
Theres no need to burn the cpu and the battery.

There will be a multi version or only english/german?

With the OC Script and 1.5GHz kernel - will there be random reboots or freezes, or its smoother than usng SetCPU?

I suggest this is a crucial information for people who are flashing it for the first time or upgrading from other flavors of MIUI ROM (with the same 1.9..30 base).
After Wiping Cache partition and Dalvik, you must Fix Permissions and Power down the phone, then remove the battery for 2mins before booting the phone again.

I've tried to make the first post as perfect as I can, but I have forgotten this.
We have to do more on this post now^^
This ROM is runnig at 1ghz on startup. If you don't change it in the daemon tool, it will not change to 1,5 ghz.
I believe that the nexus S cpu heatens up and the battery drains very quick by using 1,5 ghz. It's truly very smooth, but stable? Errr, I think, no^^

INSTRUCTIONS:
Before you begin, make sure your device is supported, and the device is rooted.
1. Download and install the application.
2. To create the ROM press the "Create a ROM" button on the main tab of the application.
3. To install the ROM created, simply go into CWM and install it like any other.​F.A.Q.
What is ROM Factory?
Its a tool that will allow the user to create a picture perfect .img from your boot and system partition. It will then create an update.zip from it.
What is a "Fruit Cake"?
A fruit cake is the finish product, a self contain rom, already ready for installation, already inside an update.zip.
So really what does it do?
It allows a bootloader unlocked user to create a full copy of their boot and system partition. All of it, including mods and changes done to either one of those partitions.
Can this be use for easier rom development?

Check the changelog, CM is not supported yet. You can only make fruit cakes of Blur-based ROMS with this version of the app.

if its inside the mmcblk0p11 when you run the tool, it will be in your update zip, no matter what kernel you use, it will be there!

Yes, it worked. You need to look in your documents folder.
I'm currently not using it right though, I'm using a custom kernel.

Hi, I am using it on Oneplus 9Pro running OOS13 stock 5.4.147 and it seems to be working fine. I can feel a difference in the UI operations. Thanks.

Changelog:
- Reverted userdata tweak from oriole (This makes storage speeds lower).
- Removed some scheduler tweaks (This might fix callbench scores).
- Removed normal cgroup tweaker.
- Force zpool compressor to zsmalloc.
- Removed kprofiles tweak (Doesn't make any sense tweaking it).
- Enable sched auto group (In order to reduce latency).

Hey dev, I see you very active with YAKT and Nexus (for which I don't understand all diff. repos).
Can you please explain something I cannot figure out: is it possible in kernel for newer Androids (I have 11 on lavender) to enable Mass Storage Gadget ,so that SD card from phone can be seen as USB drive in computer? (I used UMS Enabler app for that ,but needs MSG).
Must it be compiled or could it be Magisk module tweaker ,like this one ?

Hi! Something weird is happening to my phone, whenever I reboot and unlock it instantly, the YAKT.log is created, but when I unlock it after some minutes the log isn't. I don't understand why and I don't know if yakt is working when the log isn't created.

This can be used on any kernels including stock's?
