Ok it seems to be super quick now. No load times at all it seems. Major increase over 3.3.1.1 in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up, it is really fast!
Anyone else in the cappy community have any feedback on the new market? It really is super snappy compared to all the other versions.

Just some feedback on this market. I had just flashed the CM7 nightly on my Captivate and then flashed this market and it screwed up how my apps were installed. The market app itself was super fast (faster than I have seen the market work in a long time), but after installing the market and starting to restore my apps, I started getting low space warnings all over the place. I started doing a lot of research on the different partitions and what was supposed to go where. I tried moving all my apps to SD, but still kept getting the low space warning and restoring apps with TiBu kept failing. Finally I figured out it was something with the market app and how it caches things. After reflashing CM7 and using only the Google Apps from ROM Manager, everything is working fine and no low space warnings. So if you notice low space warnings I would suggest uninstalling this app. I'm a BIT of a newb in flashing, although I have probably flashed my phone about 30 times.
Edit... I did read something about a market fix app, but I did not try it. It is possible this could have fixed saving of the market cache.

Here's a copy of android market 2.2.10. Installed w/o a hitch on my phone, but be patient during install as it takes a minute.
EDIT: Though at first glance this seemed to work fine, some of my app links have gotten messed up from this. Use with caution. I'll try an update.zip version and see if that makes a difference. (No FCs for me and runs fine. No noticeable difference from 2.2.7)
For now, this is in my dropbox at http://db.tt/lWIF1OF

Thanks, but for some reason I'm hit with market force closes, even after clearing data and cache

Ryno and roman; as noted in OP, no noticeable difference from v2.2.7
Not posted as any major revelation, just here in case someone might want a newer version for newer roms.

I can't seem to find a thread detailing how to do this..
Doesn't it just come with the tiny gapps that you're supposed to flash alongside cm?
Or is there a newer market that I am unaware about?
The one that comes with cm7 rc1 nightly 3 is 2.2.11
It happens by itself.
Since installing cm7 the normal marketplace doesn't work

This.
There seem to be a lot of small screwy things related to the google applications on Gingerbread-based ROMs. Best shot for getting everything working correctly is to do a full wipe and reflash. I know I had to do that to get GTalk working.
What about the not so easy answer?

Let me know if you figure one out. I spent about two weeks trying all sorts of off-the-wall stuff to get around having to wipe to get GTalk to work. As soon as I wiped (as I should have in the first place) it worked without a hitch.
It should auto update, at least for me it did.

I flashed CM7 RC1 and I automatically got updated to 2.3.2.
Just give it time. It'll happen. Market updates by itself without user intervention.

me too. I didn't have to do anything. I like the new market btw, subtle changes but having more room to view apps is nice

suggests to me that it will not auto-update in the OP's case.
It seems to be half working now but I can't look ay my downloaded apps list without it crashing. All other apps are fine

Have you tried clearing the Market app's cache and data?
Clear Market data in "system / applications / manage".
[edit] I see codesplice already gave you the correct answer
No joy. I'll go for the wipe later on

I'm trying out Nookie Froyo now. A lot of apps seem to run very well, but Tapatalk apps such as XDA and Howard Forums are very crashy. On stock rooted, both apps forget my password but are otherwise functional. On Nookie Froyo, I can get as far as viewing my list of threads, but it force closes every time I try to open one of those threads. Any thoughts?
That is strange. I also had the issue with the Stock Root being unable to save the password for tapatalk, but since I've gone to the HC and the Froyo builds, I have not had that issue.
Nor have I had the issue of crashing on opening of threads.
I have had a couple of randamn crashes while using the program, that has been less than 1% of my interactions with the program and I have joined over a dozen forums that support the program.
Have you tried a fresh install?

I have same problem with the XDA app on froyo- it will not crash as long as you do not log in but as soon as you log in it will crash upon trying to open up a thread
Same issue for me as well with the XDA app. Switched to the regular Tapatalk app instead and have no issues.

The normal tapatalk paid app works fine for me on froyo and cm7.
You can try fixing permission in cwm to see if that helps.

Hmm okay, I don't have the paid Tapatalk app so I haven't tried that. These are just the branded Tapatalk-based apps.
I did a permission-fixing run, didn't seem to help.
Okay I took the plunge and bought the paid Tapatalk app. It does work much better on Nookie Froyo than the branded XDA or HoFo apps and it hasn't forgotten any of my info so far. I think the branded apps must be an earlier software build or something like that.

One concern I have is how many forums work with tapatalk. I just don't want to pay for an app that I will use on one or two sites. Especially when they have a free option. How much better is the paid app?

Well I'm using it on 3 sites already - XDA, HowardForums, CyanogenMod - and on two devices (Nook, Nexus One). So already it's getting well-used. Also my N1 is suffering from limited internal memory, and dumping two apps for one is always a bonus.
As for how much better it is - all I can say is that both the HoFo and XDA apps crash frequently and forget passwords on Nookie Froyo. The paid Tapatalk app appears to be completely stable on the above-mentioned forums. An additional perk I've noticed is that any forums I set as favourites on the paid app will sync to my User CP on the web forums. This was not apparently the case with the co-branded apps.
And finally, after an evening in which I bought a $3 pastry on an impulse, I decided I would not suffer unduly to purchase a $3 app.
I used to have this app, but now when I go to the market, the app is there, but the download link isn't. I noticed this with a few other Apps to... Anyone know why this happens? with the other app, I found the latest apk file and installed from there and this fixed the market link.
If it helps, i'm on pinnacle 1.2.
In the meantime, Anyone have the apk for the new mango?

Not really sure if this will help you or not but I searched for it and it popped right up I'm on fasty II and I'm running the new market I know some time depending on what market your running at&t filters out filters out some stuff not sure if it helped but there some info. Hope you get it figured out.

Thanks for checking your market. I'm wondering if it may be because i'm in Canada and maybe there are some restrictions because of that.
Just to clarify my first post, I do find these apps in the market, but most of them do not have download buttons. If I find the corresponding apk and install from there though, then next time I look in the market, the update /uninstall buttons are there.
Once again, thanks for your help. I'll try another rom and see if it's different
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I found the problem! I had changed my screen dpi, which seems to have caused some of the download buttons to disappear on the market. Just restated with native resolution and that solved the problem.
I hope that this can help people on the future.
And thanks to the dude that checked their market fir me. I'll thank you when I get to a computer

rom links dead
I fixed the links. All links for the ROM and Gapps are posted on the Downloads page of my site from now on. Just follow the link.
I just switched back to Hanger's ROM from CM9 and I must say, even though it doesn't get as high of benchmarks, it feels a whole lot snappier and there seems to be 0 lag in his ROM. Very pleased and will probably use it as a daily driver now. Thanks a bunch for your hard work. Hope everything in your family is OK now.

Thank you
I've learned after years of computer use and building and repairing them that benchmarks don't always mean anything. Benchmarks rarely test the average performance that a user will experience.

I'm still getting an internal server error when I try the link. Maybe it's just me.

wheres the link to your site, download link on here takes me to a wordpress error website and to says to contact admin, cant find the gapps link?
Links should be working...yet again. Dunno what the hell is cause the links to get screwed up, unless someones deliberately messing with them...
I just went to ad fly homepage and manually entered the download code or whatever to the end of the URL. Worked for me.
Rom ui looks awesome. Running smooth so far. Little bit of keyboard lag but that's par for the course with ics from my experience. Can tell you put a lot of time into this.

OK its been a few hours now and the keyboard lag is getting really bad in some instances. Also, in the messaging app, hitting the button to start a new convo just crashes back to the home screen. That's all I've really noticed so far.

Hanger doesn't check this thread regularly; if you have a "bug," see OP and report it in the bug tracker so it can be addressed in the next update.
Are you guys using the stock keyboard? Give swiftkey beta 3 a shot or the new JB one

Did you make sure and do a full wipe first? You didn't by chance restore data with TBU did you?
I've been running this ROM for weeks and I don't have either bug on my install.

Love the ROM but have some lag...
I'm having lag to the point of frozen. I've had to pull the battery about 4 times in the last 3 days. It's not related to USB issues since I'm not plugged in when it happens. The apps (not any in particular) seem to overload the phone's ability to process. If I'm lucking it reboots - otherwise it's a battery pull.
I did restore data using TBU and I'm using the "lazy" kernel configuration.
Other than that I really love this ROM. Seriously. It has every buzzer and whistle I could hope for and they all work.

Yeah when i was testing for Hanger and i ran in to similar probs in the alpha builds don't restore data via tbu. the problems for me went away when i didn't. Also double check your cwm version, make sure it's the newest for the inc.
