Does the Note has an audio line out? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since i have a few iPod speakers dock i was wondering if the Samsung Galaxy Note has a true line out that would allow me to plug them to iPod speakers dock in a serious way (No the lousy headphone out to speaker aux in that lead to double amplification degrading sound quality).
And talking about line out. Did anybody try to amp the Note?

I'd as well like to have some info on that. This would really help, if there is ACTUAL line out with the note.
This accessory would really make sense then:

[Q] Earphones Adjusting Volume Automatically/Activating Speech Options

I just recently purchased some new earphones (Sennheiser IE7) and when I plug these into my HD7, they randomly activate the speech recognition options (even though I have disabled this in the settings), adjust the volume and pause Zune playback.
Cheaper earphones don't do this when plugged into the phone and nor does a Bluetooth headset, it only seems to happen with these particular earphones.
Has anyone experienced this with other head/earphones or knows of a way to stop this kind of thing happening?
Thanks in advance.
I have experienced this also. When I use a male to male 3.5mm cable to my receiver the phone acts as if the -vol button is held down. This does not happen when I use a really cheap sony behind the head style earphone or the buds that came with it.
My guess is that its caused by the spacing on the connector (you know, between the little rings).
Try a bunch of earphones. If you're desperate, you could try splicing the connector of an earphone that works with the earphones you want to use. Otherwise I would say its not worth it; the audio components in the HD7 don't seem to have great quality anyway. I had a razr2 and the sound quality was better than the soundblaster in my computer.

[Q] Headphone Volume for Line-Out to low

I mainly use my headphone jack on my Streak 7 as a line-out for listening to music in my car. The jack has very low max volume compared to my iPhone and iPad.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any system file mods that would allow a higher max volume out of the headphone jack, or set it to optimal line-out volume?
Something similar to Voodoo sound on the Samsung android devices would be awesome.

Why would you want to send max output to a sound system? You should let your car amp drive the sound to your speaker. Sending a max out signal will not give you the best sound.

I know this, but the max sound of the dell streak 7 is no where near optimal line out volume for a good sound system. I plug my iphone or ipad in via line out by the dock connector and it is like a night and day difference. Same thing with my Samsung Infuse, way louder line out via the car dock then the Streak 7 headphone jack.
I have a high end sound system in my car that I went crazy on back when I worked for circuit city years ago and you can notice every little difference in sound quality. I have polk audio SR series speakers (which sound awesome btw) and the streak 7 muffles the sound quality.

The muffling you are talking about I believe is due to the eq/sound quality the S7 is able to deliver. It isn't that terrible, but my Samsung Exhibit 4g sounds way better and also has a better software music player and a decent built in eq - and the volume gets much louder.
You say muffle, I say "not a full sound". I would stick to the Samsung from my own experience.

[Q] Samsung Dock audio 'POP' problem

Hi Guys
I have my Notes dock connected to a pair of active studio monitor speakers (Cakewalk). When the 3.5mm audio jack is connected to the Notes 3.5mm out on the top of the phone all is well.
When I connect via the docks 3.5mm out (and set the Notes audio to dock out) I get an audible 'pop' from the speakers when the screen is touched - seems like a surge of power from the sound card audilbe from the USB but not from the phones own 3.5mm out.
When the phone is awake using fairly regular touches there are no pops, only when it is dormant for a few seconds does it make you jump out of your skin
I have had the same set up running perfectly using an HTC HD2 and Kidiggi docking cradle.
I don't know if it is the Dock or my Galaxy Note at fault
Any help is appreciated
SG
I'm experiencing the same issue.
Audio ouput through the Note's own 3.5mm jack is popping as well. Doesn't matter whether I'm using passive headphones or an active speaker.
The Note I had before I got a replacement had this too, so it seems to be a general problem :/
Edit:
Forgot to say that it seems that the speaker output gets disabled when there is no sound for about 2 seconds. As soon as something makes a sound the speaker gets enabled again and produces the popping sound.
So while listening to some music or watching videos there is no popping at all. Only when the playback starts.
I have the same problem with my SGN. It's much more noticable, when I connect car charger, but without it it's still there, but u need to focus to hear it. Any of you found solution to this?

No, unfortunately not... :/

It has a Non-Mic Headset port - U WAT M8??

This one I simply can't get my head around.
X98 Air 3G only has a 3 pin audio jack, not a 4 pin one, so if you plug a headset with in-line mic in, sound is distorted. It only plays normally if you hold the mic button in which grounds the mic pin...
UNBELIEVABLE !!! I can't believe I've not seen anyone mention it before because it's such an absolute bizarre thing to cheap-out on in manufacturing. You have a Retina screen, and a headphone port from the first Walkman in the 1980s....
I can't get my head around it... I mean, you see the Chinese leaving things like gyro out on phones or other things... BUT THIS????
I mean, what kind of mentalist wants to use a headset on a phablet anyway?
Mind is blown.

Sound mod dual speaker??

I wanna know if there is a mod which I can increase the volume and use both speakers.
thank you for your time
? up
Xda has a very good search engine !
Sent from my Galaxy Note8 using XDA Labs
Yes, you can activate dual sound output and use two different Bluetooth speakers at the same time, but unfortunately there is a slight delay between them which create a weird effect. It is true that I have tried this with two different type of speakers (a Philips AS 141 and a Samsung Level Box slim), maybe with two identical Bluetooth devices it would work better.
There is a mod (and a thread for the mod) which will allow the use of both speakers as stereo - however you can't increase the volume much (if at all) over the default because the earpiece speaker is not designed to be used that loudly - you will get distortion and crackles, and potentially damage the speaker.
You can ask in the relevant thread if the dev can sort out a louder version for you, but personally I'd stick to the prescribed limits, as it will affect sound quality quite (very, depending on how much of an audiophile you are) badly.
You'll have to be rooted for the mod to work as well, so bear that in mind.

There you go, right at the top of the mods/apps/themes section...
Why not just get one of those tiny speakers on amazon you plug in to the headphone jack ?
