Google says if it can run Gingerbread it can just as easily run ICS. You also have to think that Verizon is just rolling out Gingerbread to many of their devices. Some it took them no time, others have been waiting years. I would suspect that you will see ICS but not for the better part of 12 months from now maybe later 2012.

That's the thing. There isn't any phone running it right now. HTC wouldn't even be able to get it to us if they wanted to.
As cool as it would be, I wouldn't hold your breath. This gingerbread update was like pulling teeth.
HTC won't give it to us, but our wonderful dev community will....XD

You been living under a rock? Anyone on here knows the phone was getting the update for awhile, it was delayed. Verizon posted the documents about update what last week I think. Pretty sure there are some rom's based on it haha

HTC said September though, Verizon didn't say anything about when and "leaks" don't count as official

When the source drops for this I will probably build a new kernel for it. It should be loads better than the port as it will be all Inc files. I'm not sure of Chad's schedule as I'd prefer to leave it to the master.
Seems a lot of people must have got new phones for Christmas. Forums are pretty much dead, no one is ever on IRC anymore (at least not when I'm on there lol).

Well I have an upgrade available in March that I will definitely be using. However, I'll still have my Revo and will still be pushing out themes for it after my upgrade.

I would never say screw you guys. You guys rock! And once I get the nexus all dialed in and stop changing kernels and/or roms every day trying out stuff, I'm sure I'll get back over here and start trying any/everything you and mt put out. I need one phone to be all stable and reliable though, and right now, it's the revo that's my goto for now.

How did you manage that? Been thinking about calling Verizon about the once-a-day random reboots I keep having, but I don't want them to try and give me a tbolt or charge.

Don't get me wrong, I love what MT has done with this phone and I've had a lot of fun working on the ICK theme. I'm just tired of my phone rebooting all the time.
If I were to get a new phone, I'd still hang around here

In the process of deodexing the system apps right now, then will get to the framework and upload them when they're done.
EDIT: Deodexing keeps stopping so I didn't get them all. If anyone deodex's these apps, please let me know so I can link to them here as well.

I was using xUltimate but I kept getting errors. Other than that I have no idea lol. Maybe the Android Kitchen can do it on Ubuntu. I'm gonna try that out tomorrow.

XDA admins explained to me once that they want to wait to see if there would be enough interest in a particular phone. If there is development for it, they will likely create a forum for it.

Probably the same thing that happened to the Prime. Shipped with HC and like 3 weeks later got ICS. They just want the phone out there to get buzz going and then they make everyone feel good and update it to ICS so it seems like they care a lot more than they do. Plus t gives them the 1 update to the newest firmware that most phones get.

Okay I have flashed Gingervolt to my phone and since I erased all my data my phone is all stock and gay. I need to know how to make this thing look badass again. What are some things I need to do right off the bat. I am going to get like wifi tether and everything but I want my phone to be amazing. HELP!!!!
now go through the forums and look around.. developer section has an overclocking kernel and other performance tweaks, Themes and apps has.. well.. Themes and Apps to install. Everything has instructions with it.. just got to READ!!

SO i got g volt and blitzkrieg as well as the custom lock screens and alot of really cool apps. My phone is clockin at 1.9. Is there anything else I can do to increase my phones performance or cool factor. Or even some cool not so well known apps. I got the usual wifi tether and rom toolbox setcpu stuff like that. Lol this cant be it!!!!! Let there be moreeeeeeee
