Hello everyone,
I've extracted and packaged the new radio and bootloader images from the ICS update that was released today.
The new radio image is I9020XXKI1 and the new bootloader image is I9020XXKL1.
I have packaged the new radio as both a .img for fastboot, and an update.zip for flashing via recovery.
The bootloader is packaged for fastboot only.
You can download them here: http://goo.gl/vTTTA
Note: Please do not directly link to my files. If you would like to re-share these, please post the above URL. Thanks.
wow! can I install it on cm7?

Oops! I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, I was reading from your blog when I did my update.
So far no issues, but I've been on wireless the whole time since the update.

I was hoping that my boot issue will go away, but no, I still cannot boot into OS. I have to try and try and try.
It starts with the word "Google" ind the middle, then is flickers shortly and then "Google" stays forever on the screen.
Battery pull does not sort it out, always. Several battery pulls needed.
Any idea around here?

What kernel / rom are you using? You might try reflashing the kernel (if you have a custom one) or try another kernel. If that doesn't help, reflash your rom. If THAT doesn't fix it, factory wipe from recovery and start from scratch.
BTW, which phone model do you have?

Hi all,
I've unlocked the bootloader on my Nexus One.
I got the message that there was a new froyo update. When I try to install I got this error: "Verficiation failed".
Is there a way to install this new update, like a force on the verficition check or installing the official bootloader again?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dirk
Do you have a custom recovery?
?
From what I've read you may not want to update, being the main fix is to disable/make it more difficult to root. You may want to for your own reasons, idk. Just putting it out there.

Alternate Instructions
Please note: this will not work on the RAIDER / Holiday -- only the HTC Vivid for ATT.
The reason is that this requires a HBOOT update, which is specific to the phone, and is signed per carrier.
Copy VIVID_ICS_OTA_ROOTED_CWM.zip to your external SD card
From CWM, flash the VIVID_ICS_OTA_ROOTED_CWM.zip
Put the PH39IMG.zip on your SD card, then reboot to fastboot
Re-lock your bootloader with fastboot, then reboot back into HBOOT
Flash the PH39IMG.zip from HBOOT
Remove PH39IMG.zip from SD card (or remove the SD card so that you can enter fastboot)
Enter fastboot again, and re-unlock bootloader
To get CWM re-installed you can either: a) fastboot flash recovery again OR b) Head to my thread and download the update PH39IMG clockwork installer, put that on your external SD, and boot to HBOOT then install it.

Going back to stock?
Right now, going back to stock Gingerbread or even ICS shouldn't be that hard.
There are two methods:
Restoring to Gingerbread
This can be accomplished by flashing a special PH39IMG.zip
It will restore system, boot, and recovery all back to factory shipping stock.
HBOOT will not be downgraded (not possible).
Go here for instructions/downloads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23242239#post23242239

Restoring to ICS
This can also be accomplished, but it will be a two-step process.
First, you would use CWM to install a (soon to be created) update.zip that would install an unrooted stock ICS rom.
Then you will install a PH39IMG.zip that will remove clockwork and flash boot back to stock also.

So I just got this HTC Vivid and some how I managed to put it in a bootload loop. I've flashed many ROMs in the past without any problems at all, but failed to do so on this one. The ROM I tried flashing was "[ROM] Dark Raider 1.0 [4.0.3][Aroma Installer][4-13-2012]" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586613) Everytime I turn the phone on it would just keep rebooting over and over, I tried reflashing a different ROM and now every time I turn on my phone it automatically goes into fastboot. I've tried looking around but I haven't found a solution to this problem. Anyone help?

I think Dark Raider is not for the Holiday or Vivid. Not sure. I do believe its developed by pirateghost, and he could be your "savior". Go to goo.im (Goo inside me). http://goo.im/devs/pirateghost/vivid and look in the rum_float folder and download beta4 NOT BETA.5. Then flash with that and you should be good. Flashing instructions can be found in the Vivid Super Guide thread..
You can also try the rooted OTA ICS firmware in the root of pg's directory to get back to a base ICS working ROM. I know that both of those work as I've been where you are now 3 times in the last 5 days due to playing with my phone and flashing ROMS. I tried pg's beta 5 last night and soft-bricked my Vivid twice, then recovered it it with Beta 4 and didn't loose a thing. For some reason I thought flashing the ROM (zip) over system was a good idea! D'0H!!!!
All you have to do is use the third method in the flashing ROMs section close to the bottom of post 1 from the Super Guide link above. Just copy the boot.img out of the zip and flash.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Don't forget to flash the kernel too. I am using faux123s beta 4 kernel for now. works great for a beta!

Dark Raider is almost specifically for the Vivid as it was built from an AT&T Vivid base. You don't flash the boot.img through ADB, you flash through fastboot.

This is exactly what I'm doing: I grab the boot.img from the zip file and place it in the same directory on my PC with my fastboot/ADB. I put my phone in fastboot and plug it into my PC. I then open up a command prompt and change the directory to my folder with fastboot/ADB. I then type the command: fastboot flash boot boot.img and am prompted with:
C:\ADB>fastboot flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (3860 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.820s]
writing 'boot'...
OKAY [ 1.810s]
finished. total time: 2.630s
After that I enter the command: fastboot reboot-bootloader and my phone reboots and goes back into bootloader. When I try to open up Recovery my phone opens it for a second and then just tries to reboot normally, and bootloops.
Try doing "fastboot reboot" without the bootloader part.

That you are flashing a ROM for the Vivid or Holiday device.
I think the Dark_Raider file might be since it's in the Vivid development Forum. But I haven't used it.
Look in the developmental thread and read some more.
So a while ago I rooted my phone after doing a lot of research (because I have no idea about this topic) and it was all good (it was only to use some apps, no ROM or anything)..
Today I wanted to install Android M, I also searched a lot and ended up using the same thread ([HOW-TO] The Nexus 6 All-In-One Beginner's Guide) and used step 5A and 5B.
When I reached the point of choosing the .zip file to install (on TWRP) it said: "This operation may install incompatible software and render your device unusable", and when I tried to flash it said "Failed" in red.
Now when I try to reboot to system it says "No OS installed" and if I try I only see the white Google logo with the open lock at the bottom of the screen.
I can only use the recovery mode and Bootloader mode.
Any help is really appreciated...

You use fastboot from a computer to flash stock images. Custom recoveries are used for flashing custom rom zips.
Go.to nexus 6 general > sticky roll-up thread.
All guides and info is there.

After struggling for hours to know how to write the commands it finally worked and now I have M on my device AND I have more knowledge about this topic.
Thank you all for taking the time to help me, and I hope I won´t have to come here again
I am trying to set a sirius clean and up to date, and I flashed 9.9.3.
The thing is, now I can't flash any TWRP, flashing goes as it should, but then I get black screen. The phone wouldn't go to recovery nor the system. Fastboot is the only option, and then I flash 9.9.3 again and try another recovery and so on... I am tired.
Can somebody tell me please, how to get this poor phone to latest eu rom?
Sequence of flashables with version numbers or something?
Thanks

I was actually using this tool and it made all 50 of so of my softbricks a lot faster.
The solution was to fastboot flash 8.10.25 first, and then everything went smoothly.
