hi guys,
i have an su660 (korean version of p990) and flashed it with chinese version of miui 1.12.16 and a special su660 patch. everything is working fine so far, but i can't send text messages or to be precise most of the times i can't. sometimes it works.
smsc check via *#*#4636#*#* command displays only update or refresh error. i can't type in a no without an error.
when i try to enter the settings in miui, the system complains that "Failed to get SMS centre number".
can it be that since i'm using it in germany now the baseband or something is wrong? but why can't i type it in manually?

At first i tried updating to the latest available update from Kies, once again it ****ed up my phone. So i flashed the latest stock update with Odin. At first i could not open up my Phone app/Contact app tho i got a signal and my Network was working perfect. I went into recover mode and cleared the cache and set the phone to default wipe. Now i get a phone signal, can open up all the applications but i get no Network signal. How can i fix this? Thanks in advanced, Wicksy.

-Sorry for double, would not let me save with that info for some reason-
Have you tried going into the network APN settings and checking that they are the same as what your network provider uses?
Hi all,
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I have had for a while. Fairly frequently, my network drops out, for example when receiving calls or trying to make calls. This often happens multiple times in a row (that is, I have to try 5 or so times to make a call, as the network keeps dropping out).
I have searched around and believe that it is the RIL that keeps crashing, although I’m not sure what to do about it.
Phone information:
Model Number: GT-N7000
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: N7000XXLA4
Kernel version: 3.0.15-1068447 [email protected] #3SMP PREEMPT Tue Aug 28 16:14:38 KST 2012
Build Number: IMM76D.XXLRT
Originally I flashed an AU GB rom via PC Odin, and then performed a full wipe. I then flashed LRQ via PC Odin, and updated OTA to LRT. I experienced this problem while on LRT, so I flashed the modem contained in the Australian GB rom for my network provider (Optus), but this did not fix the problem. I have experienced this problem on other ROMs in the past, but cannot provide details about the specific ones I tried.
I live in Australia and am on the Optus network.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to prevent my network signal dropping off frequently when making/receiving calls?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I just flashed LRK, because I had it on my computer. It seems to be working fine now, but I'll have to try it out for a bit. I'm not certain this will fix the issue as this modem was bundled with the LRQ ROM I flashed initially, with which I experienced this problem.
If it doesn't work out, I will flash LR1 and get back to you.
Thanks again for your help.
Any other suggestions?
I haven't had the opportunity to keep testing the changes yet. Is it safe to assume that the problem is caused purely by the modem, or are there other changes I can make to try and fix it?
Is there a way to check whether the RIL and modem match on my phone?
Thanks

Is the IMEI really the same as on the cover of the Note box. Maybe there was a problem and had chsnged.
Sir .......I am also having same problem in my GT N7000 since last 3 times. Last two time, i had to spend 1500 buks at karol bagh. This time again i am facing same problem. Whenever i tried to call any number i got following message "NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK". However, wifi internet is working good. Hi all,
Longtime lurker and modder looking for some help. Had my C6603 for over 2 years and hope to run it into the ground.
Recently chose to switch provider, requested unlock code from current provider and awaiting. However in the mean time I am trying to get my unlock code window open, attempted entering new sim and just get limited network with no code request. Tried to find out service status but when I open dialer and enter Service Info *# code upon completion the code disappears from dialer but nothing happens. Have tried 3 different ROMs at this point in an attempt to get it to appear with no success.
Current ROM info;
Android Version: 5.1.1

Baseband Version: 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110089-64

Hello,
My daughter did a factory reset on her droid razr xt912 and after it reboots I have to select language English/spanish, I select one and after that it stays on the message : "Please wait, this may take a few minutes".
And never go further...
Her phone as:
system version: 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US
android version 4.1.2droid80 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 1 20:59:31 CST 2013
baseband version: CDMA_N_05.21.00R L TEDC_U_09.1D.00
Kernel version: 3.0.8-gbacb1cf [email protected]
Build number: 9.8.20-72_VZW-16
Build date : Fri Feb 1 20:37 CST 2013
I think I rooted it.
It had a french user interface.
I need your help to :
- try to reboot it
- or try to install a rom (same one or upgrade) without accessing to the phone (I can access to the params and bootloader)
I tried both languages, I tried with a wifi connection, and with sim card Inside... Nothing is working.
Any idea about something to try ?
Thank you very much for any help
