Anyone manage to get fastboot working on the Gtab 8.9?

i am a new guy to this forum but i must say i have been able to root an xperia play, my lg thrive, my kindle fire and much more. i now have a dell streak 10 pro and this is the first time that rooting has become so difficult. i have found the correct threads and i know what to do but my only problem is that i cannot get it into fastboot mode in order to flash the custom recovery and all the combinations that i try only allows me to go to recovery mode. can anyone tell me how to get into fastboot mode on the dell streak 10 pro ( honeycomb 3.2 )?
You cant, the S10 does not have a working fastboot mode (at best you can enter it only from a working rom, it still does not respond normally to fastboot commands)
You must use nvflash to upload images.
What rom is installed on your s10?

i have stock honeycomb v3.2 installed and i tried flashing your chimeradroid with nvflash but after i run the bootloader the dell logo comes up with recovery mode written at the top and then nothing happens after that. can u give me link to flash cwm with nvflash and can the "one click nvflash recovery" work for my device?
hi im new here as a member of xda but hae learned a ton by reading around the site. ive currently ran into an issue with my atrix hd (mb886) i updated the firmware i tried multiple versions to see if the problem was with the file. even with stock firmware if i dont use a rom i get stuck on motorolla screen. i have cwm revocery. my bootloader is unlocked and before i updatd the firmware my phone was rooted. so at this point i tried installing multiple roms. 1: CM =bootloop 2:jellybam=bootloop 3:btakang rises- screen passes the motorolla screen and goes to a black screen that flashes every 6 seconds. my fastboot menue reads the following
normal power up
recovery
ap fastboot
factory
bp tools
when ii enter ap fastboot this is what i see
ap fastboot flash mode (s)

I've been trying to fix this for 5 days now I've been reading through forums for hours and I've now come to this I need some real help...
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 store demo model..
I'm trying to root it and get rid of the store Demo restrictions
This is as far as i could get.

To try and get back to factory settings but this didn't work.
I'm stuck in boot loop now ending in a red triangle screen telling me kindle couldn't boot correctly.
I have a fastboot cable so i can get to fast boot.
What I've been thinking is maybe I need to root first before anything in the above post will work but I'm not sure on that.
I haven't been able to discover my kindle in adb using cmd while in fastboot.. Not sure if that is possible in fastboot anyways.
So my real question is how can i either root my kindle in fastboot and flash twrp
I've tried to flash twrp a few times and it seems to have worked as far as cmd but when i get to the device nothing works.
I'm not rooted and I believe that to be the first step can anyone help me?

If you don't have 2nd boot loader installed you can't install twrp and have it work... Also you don't need root for fastboot to work which is all that system restore tool uses.If it's in fastboot and it's a 7" model then it should have appeared in the device m,manager as a Tate device once you entered fastboot. Switch to a normal cable once you are in fastboot mode. Once that happens run "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" and see if it returns anything. If things still go nowhere I suggest trying an Ubuntu live 13.10 CD/USB stick. Tell me how it goes.

I'm trying to get back into fastboot mode...my device is a d415, and I have already successfully installed a custom recovery and a custom ROM. However, I want to get back into fastboot mode and I can't figure out how. I zeroed out my laf partition again thinking that would do the trick - but anything I try either boots me into recovery mode or just turns the phone on like normal. Any suggestions for how to get into fastboot? Preferably a way where I can still get into Download mode/recovery mode?

This requires a PC and USB cable. Power off the device. Attach USB to PC. While holding Volume Up attach USB cable to your device and continue to hold Volume Up button until you see "DOWNLOAD MODE" on the second line of the display.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could please help. I have a gear live, always running on stock firmware. Randomly without me doing anything to the device, it got stuck on the boot logo. So I decided to see if I could boot into recovery mode, but I get the error
"mmc_read fail" and "movinand checksum confirmation fail"
The bootloader also seems to be locked, so is there any way I can recover this device?
EDIT: The only thing I can do is boot into Fastboot, can't enable USB Debugging for adb to work
