◄ ▌[ROM][IML74K][i9020T,i9020A,i9023] Brainmaster's Stock ICS 4.0.3 ▌►
What do you get with this ROM?
Its Full Stock ICS 4.0.3 ROM that includes following
Tweaks:
- Deodexed
- Rooted
- Zipaligned
- Busyboxed
- Busybox Run-Parts (support for scripts in the init.d)
- Unsecured Boot.img
- ADB Enabled
- EXT4 and TCP Tweaks
- Dalvik moved to the /cache partition
- EFS Backup
- Automated Zipaligning of /data/app
- ADFree Hosts file
- Sticky Recovery (Custom recovery doesn't get overwritten after flashing the ROM)
- HSPA Icon
- Dock Settings
- Graphic fix (Quadrant Planet Benchmark)
- Unicode support for SMS/MMS
- Animation/Transition glitches fixed
- AppWidgetPicker
- 360° Rotation
- No AppDrawer lag
- Framework tweaks
- Bonus: Radio KI1 and Bootloader KL1
How to install:
- Copy ROM file on your SDCard,
- Start Recovery,
- Go to "mounts and storage" and select format /system, /data, /cache, /boot,
- Install ROM,
- Reboot.
Further Instructions:
App drawer is sluggish and has lags, not like the tweaked CM9 Trebuchet App drawer.
Besides, the default heapsize is too big - 128 MB, for our device. I didn't change it, because I wanted to keep the ROM as stock as possible.
I recommend to everyone to make use of the new settings for the Background apps: Settings > Developer options > Background process limit > At most 4 processes (Need to be set on every reboot!)
Also don't forget to Force the GPU Rendering in the same Developer Options.
Enjoy the ICS Brainmaster Experience!

1. Android Market 3.4.4 - Don't copy it on /system/app, just install it as any normal app!
2. Input Method Selection patch for the Notification area. By default its disabled in the ROM because I find it a little bit annoying. If you want it back, install the patch.

Which kernel is this rom using? Maybe you should try using custom kernel from Blayo, or to get working other stuff, you could help yourself with CM source code.

You are using CWM 3.x.x.x, try using older CWM 2.5.x.x.
I have plans to rewrite update_script soon.
well, i'll wait for the updated rom, i don't want to flash another recovery image for testing a rom.

- fast and stable, high RAM for a long time
- animated wallpapers won't lag
- rooted
- SD card Speed optimizations
- Horsepower Kernel RC11 and self-modified RamDisc (please don't use spica's PerformancePacks over this ROM and only use the kernels linked in this posting if you want your system to remain stable -- the PP's will mess up the well chosen init scripts and property settings)
- overclocking to 1,4 Ghz
- No SQLite performance patch as the RC11 kernel is used -> you will receive lower benchmark results than ROMs using the patch, but this patch can't/shouldn't be used with RC11 due to possible freezes

Problems & Solutions
If GPS isn't working:
open HiddenMenu with 1809#*990#, choose GPS Test
In Settings:
"MOLR Protokoll" -> "User Plane"
"SUPL Settings" -> "SPL Server" -> choose "LGE SUPL" instead of "google(Open)"
SLP Auto Provision activated
"C-Plane" -> "Loc Estimate"
"Misc" -> activate "Auto Cold Start"
Second possibility: put gps.conf (1.32 KB) http://www.multiupload.com/F4AQDOJ9N5 in the /system/etc folder. With this you have to boot your phone with activated GPS otherwise it might not get a fix!
If you get freezes using RC11, try not to undervolt, make sure you don't use pathed SQL libs and if this doesn't help try another Kernel from post #1. With the older kernels you can also use the patched SQL files linked in post #1 which will give you higher benchmarks (though no real higher performance).

This looks good, great work!
Hej Gueste,
This ROM is very welcome to XDA..!! I have used the ROM , downloaded from handy-faq ( google translate, ofcourse) and very much delighted by the smoothness and reliability of it. This one is a neat and clean ROM, with pretty much everything one should ask for ( or make what we would have thought when we bought a P990 in the first place).
I have been using Topogigi on a regular basis, before actually seeing your ROM. I found it is a better and stable alternative to people who want their phones to be reliable and actually useful without problems ( not that I have encountered any problems so far, but that is my experience).
Thank you very much for bringing this great work to the rest of the humanity
Welcome here too. Thanks for zour rom.
Very good one
Sent from my Tapatalk | www.androidhr.isgreat.org
Fix the link please. TIA
Re-upload this on multiupload or somewhere. " HP_Kernel_RC11_TB_modForGueste2xv2.1.zip (6.4 MB) "
Thanks.
Im gonna be using this rom rather than hell_97's because of filesonic.
Juice Defender always freezes the phone for me, can this be used with a phone that's already uv/oc?
Edit: Phone froze on me again, pulled the battery and this time the whole system gets corrupted. I get lots of FCs on reboot and telling me to reinstall my keyboard, whatsapp, etc that runs on startup. Must be the rc11 behaving like rc10.
Going to try SR2. I'm guessing these HP zip files are custom tailored for this ROM so I can't use the official zips. Can you make one with RC9? That's been very stable.
rom looks good, but gps is not working.

If you get freezes using RC11, try not to undervolt and if this doesn't help try another Kernel from post #1. With the older kernels you can also use the patched SQL files linked in post #1 which will give you higher benchmark (though no real higher performance).

ROM looks quite fast but i had three freezes with three calls....had to pull out the battery and restore....
Used the RC 11 link and did the flash...is it because of that....I have BB20M flashed and also the RIL using GetRIL...
restore the Topo 20M updated by Striatum_bdr...
Thanks for the hard work but would like to know the reason.
i think rc11 is the culprit for the freezes! the rom is really fast and stable now im using it with rc9 and launcher7 without any lag.. for the 20mb hack, if it's possible then i think it would be a great addition to this rom.. we can always make use of extra 20mb rather than leave it to useles ota update right?

[Tweak Pack] V20o All-In-One Tweak-Pack V5 fixed

I found a good combination to have the best experience on stock V20o. I made a flashable zip file with all tweaks you need for a smooth and fast V20o rom.
For safety, make a backup before.
If you have any bugs, please report me.
Please flash latest version if you're on EXT3! If you're already on EXT4, you can flash V2, too!
Features:
• Horsepower RC11-R Kernel
• Scrolling Cache Disabler for smoother scrolling (thanks to AndroidON)
• Fast Dormancy Logging fix (thanks to gueste)
• SQLibs from V20o for smoother scrolling (thanks to gueste again)
• Battery Percentage Mod with fixed clock and crt effects
• Camera Mod (not AndiCP's mod but maniacdave's mod from Modaco, more stable)
Installation:
• boot in CWM
• install zip
• reboot
Changelog:
V5:
• no filesystem converter anymore, so you can have ext3/4
• additional version for V20l/m without fd fix and battery mod
V3:
• added Camera mod
• added auto-conversion to ext4 for people coming from ext3
V2:
• Horsepower RC11-R instead of fps kernel --> fixed freeze problem while power off the phone

Yes, I forgot the camera mod.
Maybe, I will also make a "Lite" pack for V20L/M user. Are the V20o SQLibs compatible with V20l/m?

flashed this pack for testing (waiting for fps 3.0)
thanks
Installed with v20o And now i have bootloop and I can't enter Recovery :/
I think it's because of your recovery. Flash Recovery with NVFlash (the first steps in the root guide) and restore your backup.
Then you can try the pack again, it shouldn't give you a bootloop.
all seems good..need a little more hours of testing although a few little probs :
Sometimes browser goes back to homescreen and angry birds (all 3 version) does not want to start.
clear cache and dalvik cache does not resolve this little problem
Happened again, Maybe is because I'm using EXT3 v20o? I have to convert to EXT4 first?
Don't use this zip if you are on ext3!
The filesystem tweaks are for ext4 systems, it can mess you phone, and bootloop.
Either a test must be add in the script to run filesystem tweaks only if ext4 is detected, or it should be kept in a separate zip .
Oh sorry, I forgot to implement EXT4 conversion!
I will upload a new pack with ext4 auto conversion or a pack with EXT3 afterwards.

my bad...angry birds error had to do with chainfire3D settings.

doint know if it is a kernel or/and rom problem but real racing2 is not working.
anyone got this game working?
I have ;
this tweak file here..
v20o hypnos 2x
no OC'ing
@VSwensson:
Yes, this should work if you're already on EXT4. But always do a backup before.
@KillerbeeNL:
Maybe it's again because of some Chainfire3D settings or a problem in the rom. But you're not alone with this problem, see here. This pack can't crash games alone.
Do you undervolt your CPU? Download the game data again, it could help.

Yuu don't need anything of this for 2.2 because everything is already included (fast dormancy logging fix, sqlite libs, topogigi ext4 tweaks, battery percentage mod).
2.2 was the first ROM using the v20o sqlite libs (and also first with fd logging fix and non-increasing ringtone =D)
RC11-R you can flash yourself using the kernel pack on first page of gueste2x thread.
Disabled Scrolling cache -> there is a optional tweak for 2.2 or just wait for 2.2 update01 coming today, there it will be included for default.
New version
I added new version with Camera mod and auto ext4 conversion!
See first post.

No, you shouldnt. Sdcard 0 contains files from your internal memory, and sdcard 1 contains files from external sdcard if you use it.
sdcard 0 and 1 are only different names in JB for "sdcard" and "ext_sdcard" from ICS. like crazymister said "0 is internal 1 is external"
Crazymister, Does your rom have walkman bug?

As i don't use walkman app i can't comment on that.
I Use Poweramp and got no problems with that.
Walkman app is on /data in my rom so maybe that changes something, but it is the standard walkman app.

Yeah I knew a format kinda needed to be done but was hoping I could get away with it, I had all aorta of issues before I.formatted the sdcard. All is fine now

My recommendations would be to clean a little more the bloatware so there is more space to install apps.
2nd, there should be a better power controls on the status bar, but it should be a matter of time to see a tweak for JB
What was this problem you were getting? Maybe worth to include in op if more people mention it

If you have to ask, you don't need it....
Samsung have released the base firmware with a much higher changelist, meaning, probably some bug/exploit fixes and other "under the hood" improvements.
I don't understand. What "other" "stock" firmware are you referring to? Where? As far as I know, the ROM in Post #2 is the only P6800 XXLQG custom "stock" ROM do far......
Just because a ROM isn't ASOP etc, doesn't mean it's stock.
Technically, even this ROM is not stock, it is a custom (modified) ROM. Is based on stock official firmware (unmodified). I just call it "stock" so Users won't be confused with custom SkyHigh ROMs which have a plethora of mods/tweaks and options.
Edit: ok, edited some description to include the word "custom"...

1. Does it actually boot? Yes.
2. Use a root checker app and see if root access & busybox installed ok. (you may need to run SuperSU first and "update binary", if asked) Root OK, no need to update binary.
3. Does the init.d support work? Check log in data/local/tmp (from memory....) Don't know how to check. No log file in that folder...
4. Normal expected functions as released by Samsung: None found yet.

If you haven't already;
1. Please factory reset in recovery
2. Followed by immediately flash ROM
3. Reboot
4. Don't restore anything
5. Check & test again
Unfortunately, if these issues aren't same for all, and I can't determine the error by sight, there will be no SkyHigh ROM v4.0 using XXLQG firmware, and also put this ROM "to the sword".
Thanks

That's for the feedback.
3. Use a root type explorer app and check to see if you have a 99test in your system/etc/init.d folder?
It should (if working) write a log to data/local/tmp/init.d_log_test.txt
If you open the log, and see the word "done", and is (should be) written every boot
