Cheating wife

So lately my wife has been working a lot of evening shifts, and for the past couple months has been carpooling with a male co-worker. At first I didn't mind, I would rather have someone with her in case she has car trouble or something like that, but it seems that they have become a little bit more than friends. You know the scenario, the phone calls that hangup, she starts wearing nice clothes to work, talking about him all the time, etc. I don't know what to think. If I'm out in the garage when she gets home (usually after midnight) he just drops her off and leaves, but if the lights are off in the garage and I'm in the house (they think I'm sleeping) they sit out in the car for like twenty minutes. I asked her once what they were doing, she said "just talking"....whatever.
So last night I decide that I'm going to see what really goes on out there. I leave the garage door open, but turn out all the lights. About the time she usually gets home, I go out and hide in the garage and wait. In a few minutes, his car pulls into my driveway, and I'm hiding behind my car. When his headlights shine through the garage and onto my car, I see something that I just can't believe. I had a big scratch on my Tilt screen. Do you think I should use screen protectors?
Yeah you should use one of those touchscreen finger protectors lol
http://phonefingers.com/
Sounds like your wife might be needing something like that too.
I must say the satire of this thread is classic!
lol yeah the first give away was
" she starts wearing nice clothes to work"
everybody know us males see clothes as binary
on and off and thats it
if friends family and coworkers gathered around me and
said that as a practical joke they had all been wearing the same
clothes every! day since i met them i would not be able to
100% write it off as a lie to tease me
nice one!
bR
?????
Thats soooo stupid.......Thats the dumbest story I ever heard .....
OK now install a screen guard and then get back on the case. you can use your tilt as a camera ,so hide next to the driveway with all the lights off in the house. when they start to talk, wait a few minuets until they get into the conversation and jump out and snap the photo. Then post here with update. we are all waiting. Also this would be a nice time to use her charge card for that 60" plasma hdtv. or if you ever thought of getting a Hummer H3! now might be a good time. share with her your fears, then while she's feeling guilty pop the Hummer or Plasma into the works. Start with the Hummer the shock will be so great that she will have no choice but to ok the Plasma! just a thought from Uncle Ed!
Yeah, as if he wouldn't receive the bill for that
very funny!! very creative man.....
Yes, it was a parody. Not my original idea... I saw it in an automotive forum and changed it a little. I thought it was funny so just wanted to share.

HTC HD2 Caught on Fire Real/Fake?? POLL!!!!

So I was talking to a friend online today and he brought this video to my attention "genuinely concerned for my safety" since I have a T-Mobile Branded HTC HD2.

That's it, I'm starting a movie on my Hero and crossing my fingers...
I wonder what movie would be hot enough to ignite MY phone...
I bet he was watching something with Chuck Norris in it. Ignited because of the pure awesomeness!!!
I just asked him what he was watching... Awaiting reply!!
it is like almost impossible to heat it up to a point which it will ignite itself.
the highest i have got is something similar 70-80 C I think... and i almost got a heart attack... phone froze at the first boot screen for 45 minutes unnotised...long story....(like a cup of really hot tea )
I do find his bed sheets quite funny though... I think he faked it. No way would it get hot enough to ignite in his hand.
When he was watching it did he decide to leave it on the oven hob? Then yeah, maybe it could have caught fire whilst watching a movie. If he had it in his hands, erm, highly unlikely as his hands were laking any kind of burn marks.
If it is real, and if it were me.... if i was watching a movie on my phone, I tend to hold it in my hands to get the best angle, I would have been touching the metal backing somewhere with my hand... more heat goes to my hand through metal, if it got hot
(a) Suddenly, I would have dropped it, probabaly making the battery come out.
(b) Gradually, I would have turned it off, and taken the battery out and left open to cool...
Does look pretty sweet as it is though!

nah he was watching transformers 2 (as seen on ebay QnA)... maybe he overclocked the screen to run 4D which allows fires and flamethrowers and railguns to pop outta the screen and KO the phone.....
Yea, that Q&A was my question!

What if the battery didn't pop out if he reacted as in (a), he could have still panicked and went somewhere where fire wouldn't affect stuff and tired to put it out.

well he could have blown it with his mouth then.... he should have got a heart attack by then
no way that's real
I have heard of laptop batteries catching on fire, so it's remotely possible that he had a faulty battery that exploded or something, but I'm 90% sure he's lying. It looks like he just threw it in a fire, which may or may not have ignited the battery.
i've had my hd2 since new, plenty of slingbox on the puppy...it only gets hot when i tethering via wi-fi, but not like the tp!
If your HD2 ever states to get hot.... throw it out the window! YOU WILL DIE!
ROFL!
It's fake. There's no doubt. He said his battery blew up... I'm pretty sure that back cover would have came off and certainly wouldn't have been melted to the rest of the phone at that time.
However, for 2000 dollars, I'd burn mine, too.
edit: He's jacking the price up. Look at the bidders. No one's going to buy that.

whats your story? Water Damage

whats your water damaged phone story? did it survive?? or anything else electronic that is water damaged
ill start with mine: during soccer i was subbing and i wanted water and so in a hurry threw the bottle on the bag which led it to get my phone wet, everything was wet and it would not turn on. kept it in rice for a night and it started working till today. btw it was a touch pro 2
Was drinking one night and had to pee really bad... ran to the urinal and as I started to pee I heard a clank but didn't pay much attention. After I was done I looked down only to see that I had just peed all over a phone that looked like mine... and that phone was currently in the process of being sucked down the urinal drain. I never saw it again. It was a palm pre and wasn't really missed very much.
Teleported with mind bullets via XDA App.
The first phone of mine that has met water was my old HTC Touch The reason I came to xda It was a snowday, and I'd zipped up my pockets, got home forgot it was in there, got changed and Bam! in the washing machine
so is now A broken phone that plays a dodgy noise when plugged in
Which is why I invest in otterboxes if I can.

When I was younger I had a Gameboy (Which one I don't remember :/) and I dropped it down the toilet.
I was sad.
Once, me and my mate were in his back garden having a water fight, and he had his bag on the floor.
So first i stood on his bag and then just messing i squirted the hose pipe in it so it was full of water and he went MAD!!!!!
I emptied his bag and a few books and his mp3 player fell out lol!!!
I then realised why he went mad, it was crused and dripping with water.
I took it home, took the battery out and put it on the radiator to dry overnight.
Put a battery in it and it come on!!!
Played music and worked!
It had a cracked screen but worked.
LOL!!!!
6 months later he bought an iPiss.

2 years ago I had a cheap digital watch that was supposed to be waterproof, went for a swim and it became dead meat.
I bought a casio after and it is still working
However I had another incident with my smuggled SE M600i
I went home one day and it was really dirty, so instead of choosing the good LCD cleaner, I went for alcohol , and wiped the whole device.
Two minutes later the touch screen died I was WTF?
it was too late when my brother enlightened me with the information that alcohol degrades touch screens
no one knew how to fixed it and thought it was Chinese sh*t
fixed it after I bought my TP2 thx to me and to a Chinese spare parts site
very confusing to see such a thread! i think im master in destroying my phones
first one i lost was on a rock festival where i fell straigt into the mud with my phone in my pocket. phone was down immediately
my second phone i lost was when i was drunk and want to get some beer out of a fountain where it was for cooling... so it was dark and i thought it's useful to use my phone as a lamp ...u can think what happens next
and the third i just lost while i'm on tour - mine and my girlfirend's phone together.
this were phones like nokia or samsung, now im on nexus one and i guard it "with my life" everytime i go on a party i take my old SE
cheers

Gear not clipping shut tightly

Has anybody had issues with their Gear smartwatch not clipping tightly when putting it on?
It's come to the point where mine keeps unclipping itself easily, and no matter what I've tried (from pulling forward the clip so it fits on tighter to adjusting the band), it still comes off very easily.
Maybe somebody has a fix for this issue? Or should I try a watch repair place?
I have the same thing right out of the box. Its driving me f***ing insane. if i shake my wrist it comes undone, if i clench my fish half the time it comes undone. theres clearly something wrong but i cant tell what it is, nothing looks wrong. the only thing iv noticed is the middle metal piece between the bands that gets sandwiched between the bands, its not a perfect curve. viewed side on, at the hinge away from the speaker side the metal piece bends down or flat slightly for a bit then bends upwards in a curve shape. I have no idea if this is normal or not.
I actually have another brand new one in the box sitting right next to me, but i cant compare it because i need to sell that one so it needs to stay sealed :S
Edit: AAAARRRGHH!!!!! i tried making it slightly more uniform and now it doesn't close at all!!! the watch is now totally f***ing useless and I can return to or anythign cause i bought it from someone on gumtree. can I take it to samsung or something?
Take it to a watch repair shop, they know how to handle it. See if the clip that catches when you lock it broke off or bent inwards.
Ian B
Yeah it's to do with the shape of the centre metal piece, in trying to make it uniform i think i must have shallowed out the curve slightly, and it stopped working entirely. Iv pushed into the curve a bit to make it more curved and its back to how it was initially. I'l play with it a bit more to see if i can get it to behave like it should. either way - TERRIBLE design by samsung.
I'v had a couple of other smartwatches and plenty of other normal watches and never had problem like this. Its because the externals are extremely cheaply made like all samsung products. If your not going to make a classy metal band properly then just stick to a traditional sports watch clasp. It's just like the "fake leather" thats really 100% normal plastic on the white note 3. You arent fooling anyone samsung, your crap is still cheap and tacky.
/rant
Same thing happened to me here. Pretty frustrating. I personally am awaiting the Omate smartwatch. I may end up selling this one.
Oh and btw, there is a cool site dedicated to smartwatches here. Looks like it's brand new. http://www.theconnectedwrist.com/
So far nothing can match my hacked motorola motoactiv iv been using since 2011. I can play gta vice city on it, use splashtop remote desktop, and best of all use the vulkano app to watch cable tv on it streamed over the internet to my watch. that impresses the hell out of everyone. I had high hopes for the gear but the lack of wifi cripples it, the only hope is internet over bluetooth. Cant wait to get the neptune pine...

Why on earth did you buy from a company that you perceive as making cheap and tacky products that doesn't seem very bright
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Just because I find parts of it to be subpar doesn't mean I dont like it as a whole? It sounds like you wouldn't buy a ferrari if it didn't have a cup holder. Its not unreasonable to expect a $300+ watch to have a reliable band is it? I guess I assumed for $300 I would get a watch with a functional band.
Oh dear

Haha technically I played it, It was streaming from a PS3 you can hear the clicking of the controller buttons just off screen. Its was very laggy because of my network but obviously yeah its not really playable. Its great for watching tv though, that works really well.
