as the thread title states how to use two way call recordinf feature in nAa-08 kernel.........i didnt find it in settings................. can anybody help
U may find it somewhere in tha settings. Or there must be a app in the market. Search for two way call recorder
Can't find it too...searched everywhere with no luck but some apps from the market works like a charm
whats the function of two way rec? n why is it against the law in some country? ?
Sent from my E15i using xda premium
you can record both sides while taking to phone (your voice and the other side's voice).
until now you could only record your voice and the other one was very silent.
It's against the law to record phone calls in some countries. At least without letting the other side know he/she is being recorded.
Yeah I'm also curious about this feature from the nAn-08 kernel. I've tried some from market and found none that I like. Would love to have some native recording capabilities with MiniCM.
Now you have that option in the last release of Alf Kernel

Hi,
I'm wondering to know if you know application to avoid black screen during calls for the HTC Hero.
RucaNebas
Yes. On the app store there is a free app called Shake Awake. It detects the movement of pulling the phone away from your ear and activates the screen. The sensitivy can be adjusted.
Thank you very much for your quick replay Paul.
I installed and it seems to work.
Thank you again.
Do you know where I can find cool applications for our Hero?
RucaNebas
Wow, this works very nice.
Thank you

You're very welcome.
I have so far only installed apps from the Android Market.
Excellent find.
Not working on HTC Hero :-((
Do you know why?
Yeah, didn't work on the Hero. I hope they fix that with the update and also that annoying vibrate when the phone connects. While interesting concept it is really not needed. I figure I know when it connects when the other person says hello.
You can use Keepscreen, there is a lite version ;-)
Hi,
you may use the free app calle KeepScreen Lite, too.
This app lets you choose for which apps you want the screen always stay on.
The Hero uses a specific phone app, whose name is different from google standard phone app ... But KeepScreen lets you manually choose the apps you want.
There are two versions of keepscreen : the free one (called lite), which is 'limited' to standard google apps, and two of user's chose. The pay version is unlimited.
edit : bricabrac : you won this one
Thank you guys.
I'm sorry to back again, but I need to understand your explanations.
Do you mean that the KeepScreen Lite application could be installed on the Hero and activates the screen during calls?
Which is the Hero app name that keeps the screen always stay on during calls?
I had already created a thread with regard to the screen switching off during a call here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547736
Shakeawake doesn't seem to work for all and for those it does it can be unreliable.
PowerManager can be set (in a profile) to keep the screen alive when making a call for up to a minute (specify by number of secs... I think) which gives you plenty of time to get past those 'pick 1 to do ... pick 2.... etc' type calls.
Hope this helps
how do i install this " shake awake" program on my foon! new 2 andriod

KeepScreen
if i'm not mistaken the actual phone app should be named "Dialer"
KeepScreen is now completely free, and has in the free version all functionality
ahm, can anyone tell me how do i turn the screen off again after i awoke it? my ear keeps checking notifications :/
fyi...on my hacked sapphire, keepscreen was a little buggy. it would sometimes still allow dialer app to go dark while on call even with the keepscreen app running as confirmed in both notification bar and running apps. also, when rebooting phone, keepscreen requires restart but that is probably normal. for me, i decided i rather not deal with the problem of occasional face/key-press on long calls and just let the device go dark. i've become familiar with the quick-key presses to handle call-swap, speaker-on, and such...
I have shake awake since a while and it works fine.
Keepscreen is nice to keep applications "awake"
Does anyone know how to automatically start call recording without having to push call record each time? I am using Crash ROM 10.1 and i keep forgetting to record important client calls lol

I am using this for my Note 2 and i never find recording quality better thn this on android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder&feature=search_result
there is mixed review on market , you can test it from here

I'm always on the road for my job while picking up phone calls with order information, so I need a phone that is able to record both ends so straight things out when I can't remember all the client says. I tried on G3 and all call recording app wouldn't work, so I would like to ask here if any g4 owner has luck having an app that works? I looked googled this issue and found a page where someone says boldbeast recorder works, if anyone has this app installed on their phone, can you respond here so I can decide on whether I can work with this phone?
I us an app called Automatic Call Recorder. I've been using it for a few weeks without a hicup. It saves all my call audio to G-Drive. It has options for other cloud storage as well. So far, I recommend it.
Call Recorder by skvalex. It's on the play store...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder
just tried and it works great.. no additional setup and it records both sides.
I haven't tried BoldBeast but from what I've read it looks like it works, but you won't know for sure until you try. I found this:
http://www.boldbeast.com/forum/topic1033-lg-g4-tmobile-lgh811-call-recorder.html
I use CallRecorder by Skvalex.
Auto setup for the LG G4 when installing.
Great customization & developer support.
I've been using CallRecorder for about 3 years.
Records both sides flawlessly :good:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643
I have used boldbeast and using the recommended settings from their forum, it does record both sides. No root required either.
I am looking for an app to do the same. Looking into the suggestions above... On Call Recorder, what version should I use on G4 rooted... V1.6.8.1 or v2.2.8? And I don't need that app in the 22nd post do I? Says it's a Root Module for CAF, ALSA and MSM .... ?
Hello, anybody knows how to record calls during AA usage? (without root)
My S10e has inbuilt call recorder but during AA usage the stock dialer is not used, so the call recorder does not' start.
Is there a way to force AA to use stock dialer?
THX
Hi @mains75 your post is old but I wonder if I am having a similar issue, and if you ever figured out a work around. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro that is rooted with call recording enabled. When using Android Auto the call recording doesn't work. My search for a solution brought me to your post. Any help would be appreciated.
unfortunately there is no way to do it...AA is the worst software by google,it has is own phone dialer that is not customizable. The one way should exclude it from calls by using onother dialer that supports call recording...
There's something new...Dont' know how..But just yesterday my s10e starts to record calls during AA connection...
I did not update anything, Google app only...
This is a very good news to me.
Edit: The dream is alreday over... after deleting data from Google app and Google play services to solve Google assistant issue, call recording does not work anymore...
Hello

It's not in the stock app anymore. From what I remember it was short lived. If it is still available (which I'm almost positive it's not) it is probably US only.
You can get one of the many recorder apps from the Play Store. I can't recommend one since I've never used one.
Thing is though, most if not all won't record the other's voice on a regular phone call. If you go to speakerphone however, you'll be able to here both sides of the conversation.

I tried some apps from store, but all of them not working properly... Honestly, I was hoping there was an app outside the app store (like the MiX file manager) that worked good.
