Radio Wireless Bionic - Motorola Droid Bionic

I have noticed on the Bionic (HTC Tbolt) does not do this...
When you have in in airplane mode and using wireless only it will connect fine and run with no problem, but if you let it goto standby and the screen goes off it drops the wireless connection. This may be the same issue people have with a 3G or 4G network.
I do have the battery saver all off and I have it ti have data always on.
What gives?

If you are wireless being wifi there is a setting in wireless networks allows you to turn that setting off where it won't go into standby when screen goes off
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App

Yes, but the setting you're looking for is buried behind the menu key and not easy to find. From the Home screen press:
Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings -> Menu -> Advanced -> Wi-Fi sleep policy -> Never

How to permanently turn of Gprs/wap

When I am at home my Diamond always uses/turns on the Gprs and uses that rather than my Wi-fi connection.
I have changed all the settings and even turned data connections off but it still does it.
Anyone have a way to permanently turn it off ?
Thanks

have a look at modaco "no data" :
http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/246171/new-free-utility/
To disable it without extra software I do the following:
Go to Start-> Settings -> Connections.
Open the 'Connections' icon.
Go to Advanced and then 'Select Networks'
For both dropdown boxes click 'New...' and fill in some bogus name and phone number and click OK.

[Q] how to turn on the 3g network in froyo with galaxy s

hi there,
if anyone know how to turn on and off the 3g network in froyo with galaxy s.
regards,
try holding the power button down. There should be a option to turn it on/off right above power off.
Settings -> Wireless and network -> Mobile networks -> Change network mode to GSM only.
That will only use EDGE.
To turn off all connections hold the power button and hit "Data network mode"
okok thanks bro

[Q] Prevent wifi from sleeping

How to prevent wifi from sleeping?
I have a few apps that have the permission of "prevent phone from sleeping" but seems the phone will still switch off the wifi soon after the screen timed out. Is it supposed to work like this, or is there some settings for this?
one of the apps i tried is "wireless file transfer lite", which by the way, is a very light wifi transfer tool between phone and pc
Wifi settings > menu button, advanced > Wifi sleep policy.
ha! didn't know there is advanced setting.
many thanks!
