), worked without any problems.
Just make sure you follow steps exactly as described in their threads (wipe, install, wipe.... just READ).
Good luck and happy flashing!
Here is a video tutorial done by totallydubbedhd the credits go to him. You should follow the same steps but with the rc1 file instead of beta 1.

Follow this video guide for flashing RC3.1
Thanks.. i have seen the tutorials i have few more questions, is it safe flashing from JVQ 2.3.4, to cm 7.1 and then to rc3.1, are there any chances of having a bricked phone n also, if i make a backup from recovery can i restore my darkyrom as it was before flashing? Thanks

There's always a chance you'll end up with a bricked phone, but if you do it like on the tut, that chance is very small

I haven't heard about those issues but if you've read it then don't take a chance. First flash CM7(i was running nightly 181 for a month and it's very stable). Then flash ICSSGS3.1
Hi,
Recently i have just switched from IPhone to Galaxy Note, while really need some advise on get it "rooted" and flash with ICS (Since many people feed back its eventually better" perhaps someone can guide me a proper way of backing up my system as well as flashing it?
my phone details as below:-
Model - GT-N7000
Android Version - 2.3.6
Baseband - N7000DXKL2
Kernel Version - 2.6.35.7-N7000XXLA1(I suppose this should be KJ1? but on my phone it shows this...)
Build number - GINGERBREAD.XXLA1
in such situation should i proceed to get it flash with the KJ1 method?
yes your ROM is newer, so you have to downgrade it.
You can downgrade to KJ1 pre rooted ROM, download link you may find on 4th line on my signature.

So in summary all i need to do is to downgrade my ROM to KJ1, follow the guide to root it, then only flash it to ICS?
by doing all these will it void the warranty of the phone?
Forget about ICS for right now..I would consider it advanced to install and for beginners I would stick to rooted GB builds until you got more familar with the phone and flashing etc..

Yes, Get Root + CWM
To install ICS, follow installation guide available with ICS ROM you want to install
Somwat agree with MrDSL, at least you shud read a lot before installing ICS.
Warranty can be regain by Reflashing Stock ROM.
Yup, indeed doing more research before i proceed to flash my SGN, sincerely thank you for all the advise and guidance though.
Rooting is pretty clear to you now I think.
As for flashing ICS ROMs, I don't actually agree with anyone above. I have earlier flashed TeamRocket's ICS ROM, Imilka's AOSP ROM and ICS Stunner on my note. ICS Stunner is actually one of the best you could have for ICS. (Almost everything works, or rather everything actually works ). Now I am using Imilka's CM9 port from SGS2, very very smooth, stable and most of the things work. Download and install instructions are pretty clear in their respective threads. I would actually suggest you to go ahead with ICS ROMs (ICS Stunner or CM9 especially)!
PM me if you need any help!

Short answer is no. All stock ics kernels are affected. Flash a safe gb kernel before flashing lq2.
Check you're other thread, there's some good info there now.
Sent from my Paranoid Android GT-N7000. It doesn't get much better than this!
hi, ive been reading for the last couple of weeks about how to flash roms on my n7000. and getting more confused the more i read.
-the gist of it is that i want to flash Paranoid Android JB.
-im running on stock ics rom 4.0.4
baseband : N7000xxlrbbuild : IMM76D.XXLRIkernel : speedmod k3-13
i flashed the speedmod k3-13 using mobile odin because i read its a safe kernel to flash from? is that right?
-i rooted the phone following cursed4eva's video on youtube.
i watched cursed4eva's other video on how to downgrade to gb from ics.
i was wondering if i can :
1. downgrade from my stock ics to RocketRom v22 through CWM with Abysskernel2. then flash CM10 since its a prerequisite for PA3. and then flash PA JB
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks a lot in advance
You are already on a safe kernel (Speedmod k-13) so no need to flash GB rom or Abyss kernel, just boot in cwmr, perform full wipe and flash PA rom zip followed by gapps accordingly,
thanks for the quick reply
i really appreciate your help.
sorry for being a lot slow here but can you please give me a step by step guide?
i usually just follow the vids and after researching but im afraid of bricking my note due to stupidity on my part.
thanks again for your help

If you are rooted then just flash ultimatum ROM .zip file
It has AROMA installer and it will ask you which kernel to install.
If you want to flash kernel separately then you can find the files on Ultimatum ROM page itself.
Glad you replied me bro
Thanks alot for the reply..
Sir
While Flashing Kernels, Should i look into BaseBand or Something related to it. I have DDKQ8. Well this ROM supports this ? How to check that
For installing CM 10.1 or 11, Latest CWM version i required. So for installing CM 7.2 Is CWM 5.2.0.6 is enough ? or i need to upgrade ?
Waiting for ur Helping Hands..

If you are running a Stock rom, root your device and flash CWM5 and then you'll be able to upgrade your firmware
With CWM5 (Stock rom e.g.) you can flash directly CM10.x and viceversa, so:
CMW5.x >>> Stock Roms/CM7.x/CM9./CM10.x
CMW6.x >>> CM11/Omni/Android 4.4.x
